If my DW will let me I want to have my decorations up the weekend before Thanksgiving1

Johnny has no choice. I just start decorating around him. My problem is the tree....we buy real so we have to wait until Home Depot gets them in.
John is the WORST at shopping for an xmas tree...the WORST. He will pick up a tree (still wrapped)and oh if it feels heavy "it's a good one V".....um no, I bring my own case cutter and can open them myself.

Keep in mind I worked the xmas tree lot the entire xmas season in '04 (aside from the one week we went to WDW instead of cruising since I was pregnant and had to CHANGE).....and belly sticking out and all I never complained nor had a problem opening 800 trees for customers. You think my husband would kindly do the same for his DW.

My DH will wear either a tux or a shirt & tie to semi formal night. He will not be bringing a suit.

I got my formal dress the other day (mail order/ebay) and it zipped right up (woooohoooo). Now if I can just manage not to gain 10 lbs at WDW the week before!

How about "Look both ways before crossing the street in Cozumel - especially in front of a line of jeeps with pirate flags flying!"?

I think it will be easier for me just to get John the two jackets then. Will he need to wear a bow tie both times? can he wear a tie tie with one? I myself like that been out dancing undone bow tie one button undone look myself! But I am sure that won't fly in the dining rooms!

We'll be doing the decorations on Thanksgiving if weather cooperates...

Can't afford to travel to family (Dsis won't allow dogs and well i have enough trouble with cost of petsitter for the cruise itself) and no one will come see us....

Turkey subs around..... maybe a can of cranberry sauce ....some canned pumpkin for the dogs....

John you have been killing me with the Cheetah Girls posts. I have kept my mouth shut up till now but I'm just about to burst.

In Atlanta if you are going to see the Cheetah Girls to let off steam you are going to a strip club.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I can't stand it anymore.

Well . . .

On the flight down we have a layover in Atlanta . . .

Think I could tell Amy that during the layover, I am going to see the Cheetah girls?

:cool1:

V- that is funny! We are just the opposite. I'm the "this is a good enough tree" person and DrHug would go to every single tree farm, tree lot in the country searching for the "perfect" tree every year. We usually wound up back at the first or second place and got a perfectly fine tree. :sad2: :lmao: :rotfl2: A couple of years ago we got a fake tree with the lights already on and we just put it together and call it good. Suits me, but I think DrHug may miss the hunt for the perfect tree and all the hoopla that goes with getting every single light in exactly the right place. :sad2:

Joy, My DH is doing the same thing. I Ebyed a skirt and top this summer and they still fit. (Thank Goodness!)

I do pretty good at WDW...all that walking kind of balances it out.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: I'm not quite that bad! I too think they should at least be on the tree! :lmao: :rotfl2: Silly man!

I like the pine smell. I remember how amazed I was when we went to Ohio - the flats - and there were xmas trees just growing every where!

We have three super skinny fake trees that the lights stay on permantly. We put them in the corner and they make up just as much "eye candy" without taking up as much floor space. Floor space is a premium in our living room. We like them because they stay assembled and lit all year long and we just tote them from the basement to the LR in one carry.

I'm a little worried this year though. We have two kittens in the house. I have a feeling the trees are going to spend a lot of time on the floor. Rule for this year "No Breakable Ornaments."

Now for my dirty little secret. I never took down the Dept 56 Snow Village last year. So it's still in the china cabinet and ready to plug back in.

Well, I gotta go jump into the shower. It's time to get ready for (erg) work. 12 to 9er. That's why I never watch much TV. Too many evening shifts. I could never stay caught up. Kinda like the DIS.

Sooooo, g'bye for now, everybody. Don't believe a word Angie  posts. ;)

Yes I agree Marielle....I am trying to relax, this is all about vacation......audit will be over by then.....yippee!!
I think my two days at WDW will be stressfull. But I am not giving in to the whims of dear mom, sis and gma!

I have three pencil trees, varying height, that I keep in the foyer lit, with different decorations for the year....they have fall/halloween right now.

Awww Kristina... you could have to be in the car for 10 hours each way for Thanksgiving weekend...

but it should be the real cranberries... not the jellied stuff that "slooorps" out of the can, complete with can lines on the side.
