ok I priced the cruise for next year that we were thinking of
10/27 and 12/8 are the same price. 12/15 was quite a bit more. I was thinking of asking my boss to be off during close for Dec 07 but looking at the calander, I would be off the entire close...I have no back up and no one would be able to do my cash entries, thus big problems. I could almost have them finished by Friday night but that would mean staying here late that night and then probably rushing to the port the next morning. As much I as I really want to go on the 12/1 I just don't think I can make it work.
I don't know, I asked John and he's just "whatever you want babe".
I have even thought of maybe doing a 3 or 4 nighter earlier in the year and then a 7 nighter in 2008. I don't know...I would like to see the booking onboard prices though. Sometimes they are not as good as group rates.

We had our last soccer game today. It rained almost all day but cleared up just in time for our game at 3:00. We won, and ended the season 8-1-1... not bad for a team of mostly first timers who almost weren't... the coach quit before the season began and a couple of the dads stepped in to coach. They were awesome about the whole thing and now most everyone wants to go back and play together again next year.

We had our team party tonight and it was really cool. One of the other moms made up a dvd of video clips she shot during the season. I'm so sorry that our kids' paths don't normally cross because this is such a great group of boys and parents. Can't wait till next year!

Joy - that sounds like a great season. We really had fun this season too. The kids did much better - last year was a disaster. But the team really stayed together and they learned some strategy - offense and defense. I think most everyone improved.

It's so much easier to look forward to next year when this year went well.

JEEP UDATE

Well, I think we may have everyone unless there is a stragler or two , but so far we are up to 18 Jeeps , thats right 18 Jeeps ...that means alot of people ..LOL This should be alot of fun ...

Most tour guides hold up an umbrella as they walk their people from place to place...

....might I recommend that you hold a pirate flag in the air as you walk us from the ship to the Jeep company?

Becka, if I didn't read about the payroll thing, it sounds like you are talking about life in general.....every day is a temporary fix to the problems, you're always trying to get to the bottom of it, and there's always 60,000 ways to screw it up...but you take the next day and the next...one day in the near future its PAYDAY and it makes it worth it.

crap, I didn't even notice it. I saw about 35 posts ago that it was coming up but I missed it.

I am feeling a little behind the curve. gotta get moving.
We are still driving around old toys and stuffed animals to donation centers to get rid of them. We have had lots of success putting things at roadside too.

It was hotter when we were in port & the sun was beating down on the ship with no movement. The Mickey ear filled with water was like a hot tub. The kids didn't want to get in it.

Everywhere - I swear Comcast must have stock in the movie because it's playing ad nasuem. I finally got over my annoyance at the merchandise shilling going on here since early October and looked at the on demand stuff (Savion Glover is the stop motion tapper for the main character) and it looks sweet. See Pj, you made me open minded enough to look. I just wished the marketing of it would tone down.

We were just up late and had to get up a little earlier than usual. Nothing big, just a couple of hours less sleep than usual.
