Didn't you know Becka that most men CAN't listen to a woman? They are physically and mentally unable to comprehend when someone else is right. :rolleyes: ;)

i thought fridays were good days....ughhhhh.

well as luck would have it there is only one cat 6 left for our cruise, i highly doubt it will be there when we arrive....ughhh

looks like autumn will be having surgery again shortly after we return from vacation. all she does lately is sleep and watch tv and eat.

i hope i am doing the right thing by still planning this trip.

sorry just needed to vent for a minute. my head is just swimming today

Hugs
Jill

You know if I had someone around giving me the correct answers to things it would make my life so much easier! Why would you turn that down? :confused3

I was just wondering how other schools grade. Our High School and Jr HS use this:

A+ = 98 - 100
A = 96 - 97
A- = 93 - 95

B+ = 90 - 92
B = 88 - 89
B- = 85 - 87

C+ = 82 - 84
C = 80 - 81
C- = 76 - 79

D+ = 74 - 75
D = 72 - 73
D- = 70-71

We always had the A = 93-100 etc, but I just don't get the +s and -s.

We only had 93-100 as an A. A 93 was an A- and a 100 was an A+.

Not too mention the fact that he wants to go to the craft store NOW but that I still have not entirely figured out what to do for this bulletin board for Nathan. It is very likely that one of us will end up there tomorrow anyway. :rolleyes:

Ok, I noticed two things on the main board. One was that the shuttle is now scheduled to launch on Dec 7 (good or bad depending on how you look at it).

The other is that people get to the port before 8:45?!?!?! :confused3 Someone posted that is the time they got there and they were second in line. Another posted they arrived by 10 and there were 30 people already in line (6-8 families). All I thought was WOW!!

The shuttle has been planned for a while now, Caroline. It is a night launch.

You are new around here. :) Survivor & GA. :cool1:

Used to watch GA when it was on Sundays, but since the move I can't give-up on CSI. I guess I'll catch GA on the reruns when nothing else is on.

on another note...did DD pictures come through ok?

The school my children will attend grade this way. The school where I teach has lower standards! A 90% is still an A, 80% low B, 70% C, 60% D, lower than 60 is Failing!!!! My kids will fail at 69% (they better never get that low!!!) and the kids I teach don't fail until 59%.

I loved college when I found out that they use the 10 point scale. ;)

We also had 93 - 100 as an A, but we didn't have the + and -s. I think someone getting a 95 and it shows as an A- is crazy. The - is such a negative notation and I really don't see the need...JMHO

I had thought it had been scheduled for the 9th. The 7th is fine with me! :teeth:

Lisa's grade post reminded me of something. I went to 4 different high schools and 3 of them had the usual 10 points scale (90-100 = A, 80-89 = B, etc..). When I moved to El Paso, Texas they did the 93-100 = A, 85-92 = B, but they just used the percentages for your grade instead of the letter grade.

When I transfered in to El Paso as a junior they took all of my letter grades to calculate my GPA and gave me the lowest possible score so of course that affected my class ranking. All of my A's were 93's, all B's were 85's, etc.. (Of course this is also the school that refused to let me in any honors classes except for honors English on a trial basis because they could not be sure that the schools I came from had adequate honors classes that would prepare me :rolleyes: They also put me in basic band and refused to even let me audition for the higher bands. That school was being the biggest PITA about military students transferring in - they really hated us. )

Thankfully we moved at the end of my junior year and I moved to Missouri for my senior year. They looked at those percentage grades and used the MO scale so my 91/92 "B"s were translated as "A"s. :thumbsup2 Of course I still got dinged for class ranking because my honor classes did not translate in my transferring grade point average.

He kissed her. Can you believe that....and she went to that place and found her friend and they got into a fight and now he won't talk to her because of what she said to the doctor.

Is that a clear description of the show?

:rotfl2: It took me reading it twice to realize that you were just slinging it. :lmao:
