We then set off in search of the big cats!

Animals! We want more Animals! Can you hurry it up a little?

Along the way we saw a picture for the "Smarty Pants" monkey. We couldn't resist Nathan getting his picture taken with his twin.

We found the big cats! Most of them were sleeping and were hard to see except for the Leopard!

Our 5 Below is about 5 minutes away (if I hit all red lights!) I'd be glad to look for this for you (but they do change their merchandise alot). So it's a giant tennis ball (looks like a tennis ball but larger?) And is it a pet toy or just a general use ball?

I think we found it towards the front of the store so not necessarily a dog toy... It is pink and blue.

Ooooo. I'm still bitter about the people who pushed in front of DD and me at the Magic Kingdom parade 3 years ago. I felt like screaming at them "HEY! This is Hannah's first trip ever and first parade and we have been waiting a long time! And now this six-months pregnant woman is forced to lift a 5-year-old up so she can see the princesses." But all I did was give them the evil eye. I should have had some DIS geek friends then.

After the big cats we went in search for monkeys.

We met some peacocks along the way.

I don't like these peacocks!

We found the big gorilla!

Daddy sure is hairy in our family photo!

We (and I mean DH) went off in search of the snake house! I don't do snakes so I stayed outside while DH and the kids explored. I have pictures but they freak me out and I don't want to scare anyone else.

That pretty much concluded our tour of the zoo. After the obligatory bathroom break (the perfect beginning and ending to any family outing) we ran into either Chip or Dale.

We got back in the car and both kids were asleep before we left the St. Louis suburbs. I think they had enough excitement for the day.

I hope I didn't bore you guys too much with my little trip report. You are now free to comment on how cute my kids are! Just kidding....

I think your DD is winning!

I realize that it was a very stressful thing to have happpen to you and your kids...I am sure everything will work out. I am just trying to make lite of the situation.

Sometime on the cruise, those of you who have not heard my bully story, ask me what happens when kids get verbally and physically abused for 4 years..... Lets just say some very kind administrators and parents who had been dealing with this never said one thing. Sometimes you just have to defend yourself.

I saw Davy Jones at the Flower and Garden festival in May. He was bad-mouthing the other Monkees - not too flattering for him I thought - because who really cares at this point. He was pretty bad too. He lives very close to WDW - the only reason I can think they invited him. LOL.

We saw some great concerts last year at the Food and Wine Festival. The Temptations and the Four Tops - really good.

Must be a summer house... I thought Davy had a place up in PA....Snyder County ...South of Selinsgrove...

He used to do appearances alot around that area.....

My Walmart had a MM tlaking clubhouse when i was there today....

I was talking to my mom in PA and she said the one near her had them today too....

Two weeks ago when i had that doc appt in Baltimore...I ignored that rule and we were stuck up on 70 because i wasn't sure where the local roads would dump out......

Karen, I saw the "Ty" posts. Don't know anything. Congrats on the lion costume.

On the purple eggs:
Am I the only one who understood what he was thinking with the purple eggs? (At least I think he was talking about pickled red beet eggs.) Just had to look it up and it's another Pennsylvania Dutch thing. Haven't seen them since I was a kid, but I'll share the recipe I found for those who are trying to understand this concept.

Red Beet Eggs
Here’s how the Pennsylvania Dutch make hard-boiled eggs tastier and more colorful. Great for summertime picnics.

2 quarts boiled red beets
1 ½ cups cider vinegar
2 ½ cups sugar
2 dozen hard boiled eggs

In a saucepan bring beets, vinegar, and sugar to a boil. Remove from heat. Peel eggs. Add eggs to beet mixture when still hot. Cool and refrigerate several hours or overnight. Serve.

Hows it going, DH just got home so I dont have much time left as I have been fixing dinner also. I scored a bunch (16) books the other day. Th habitat for humanity store had all you can fit in a orange bag for a buck. They are smaller novals but I thought they wont take me as long to read them.

I just read the new John Grisham non fiction called The Innocent Man. Loved it!!!!

It looks like a tennis ball but larger. I think its just a regular human toy, not dog toy.....its about 6" round and may be differnt colors other the yellow...ours was purple and pink.
