Well Nathan does have pinkeye. DH is going to pick up his eye drops now. Hopefully he will at least be better at getting them than Allie was. He will be harder to fight with. :(

Also I don't know what this means for our trip to the zoo. DH thinks we should still go but I am not sure. What do you guys think? Would it be wrong of us to still go? He will use the drops and we use that Purell stuff like crazy.

Not sure how effective purell is against Pinkeye virus Becka....

Check with the dr...... (or ask pharmacist)

If he were older i'd say take him but don't let him touch much if anything...Which would be really hard for his age at the zoo....

At least you have a couple days until Halloween to treat it....

and if DS got it...I'd be bleaching down the house JIC KWIM...It stinks to get it as an adult... You have to throw away contacts...makeup...etc...

I believe he will be ok after 24 hrs. of the drops. I would wait and see how he feels and looks when it is time to go to the zoo. Good luck and I hope your little guy feels better soon.

He can tag along with me Tana . . . I will be the one following the back of Andy's head.

Seriously . . . all of us going to the family beach (and leaving early) should stake out a "DIS" section for as many of us as we can. We can post pirate flags around. One of the tricks is to go pretty far down the family beach - many people stop as soon as they see water. Further down also = closer to Cookies!

I'll be right behind you, John1. All DISer's welcome to join in later.

You really have to know how to use that banana!

Believe me, it makes a difference!

John1
And this is what I said before, whether banana or sword knowing how to use it is paramount!

They have them here year round. Is your store a super store? Have you checked online? I wouldn't mind picking one up for you if you would like.
I checked again today as I was at local Walmart. It was suggested I try the Salem store which is much larger than even the Woodburn supercenter. It is only about 30 miles to Salem and an easy drive so I think I will call them and see if they carry them. Thanks for the offer and all the help from everyone on this. :grouphug:

I think that it is just where we live. I haven't received the hair ties yet but everyone else got them two days ago. If you print out your docs online you wont get the paper docs. I will probably print them a couple days before we leave to be ready but want the paper docs for the scrapbook. ;)
When I returned from taking Dennis' car to the shop today I found a fed-ex package on the step from DVC. Now since we booked with points, I was absolutely giddy thinking this MIGHT be our documents! But SO early?? :confused3 Nope, was a very nice box with some special postcards in it. Another gift from DVC. There were two of each postcard. One to send and one to keep, I suppose. :)

John, you think like I do and....<wait - EVERYONE RUN!!!!!!> ok, where was I...

Of yeah, I stake out right down from Cookies, makes our lunches easier to get to. We need to organize and conquer...I mean, coordinate. We need to coordinate the night before and get on the same page. The kicker will be family members who want tubes and such - that slows us down. Maybe send one or two scouts..I mean, parents...over to pick those up and drag them to the bases, I mean...beach chairs. Plans, plans, already our minds are becoming one...
I only do the first assualt, er trip, DrHug would need to pick up any gear when he comes a few minutes later.

We always go up to Topsider's for breakfast then watch the ship pull into the dock at CC. :lovestruc
I order coffee, cereal and toast from room service so I will be up, in my suit and ready to hit the stairs early!

Castaway Cay Map

Ok, this is a link to a map showing Castaway Cay. Wife and I usually stake out a letter J (known as Operation JellyBean); you can see it is directly down from Cookies and the Conched Out Bar (ummm, a coincidence).....good location, at least to us. Its fairly close to the Swimming Lagoon (the island at I on the map)....

For the return DISers, whats your favorite spot?
Depends, if we are without kids we like the hammocks that are when you first get to the beach area, by She Sells. This is near the snorkle lagoon where we like to be early in the day. Then around lunch we vacate that and go to Serenity Bay for the afternoon. With kids the family beach by the J is great.

Bathrooms...forgot about those. OK...well, we may be in a different location this time. Let's get a poll of where people wanna be and we'll have to agree to stand together against the hordes.
I think John1 will be heading to the spot Lisa is describing. I am willing to follow his lead. :sunny:

Polling the ladies...

How many pairs of shoes are you taking?
One pair of tennis shoes, one pair of dress shoes (black), one pair of sandals, one pair of water shoes.

you need to really watch the weather. pink eye and the drops can cause your DS's eyes to be very sensitive to the sun. if you do go, take a pair of sunglasses for him and for DD. I have seen people send their kids to all kinds of places when they have pink eye. like you said use the purell all the time.

well I don't think I will be able to make chat again tonight. DH starts indoor soccer tonight. tomorrow he will be so sore we probably will not do anything. I keep telling him he might want to slow down a little on the field but Nooooo. he thinks he is still 21. maybe we will make it back in time but who knows. this week has been a very bad week. our cruise cannot come soon enough. I hope you all had a better week--I am not even going to try to catch up on posts, sorry. hopefully things will start slowing down but I doubt it. have a wonderful weekend. we also have soccer tomorrow for DS but it has been raining fairly hard all day so I am not sure if he will have it. it is tournament weekend. I know they really don't want to cancel but I have a feeling it might be too wet to play. talk with you all later.

one more thing before I go. Lisa, do I need to contact DCL about trying to change me dining rotation? just let me know what to do. good luck with your soccer games tomorrow.

Missy

I did not take that into consideration. I will have to stop for pics...at least on the first day! Maybe my DH will have to go ahead.
We'll save you a spot! :thumbsup2

I was surprised when I went to Kmart the other day and saw they had suits.
Target had them, but it was $35 for the jacket and 20 for the pants.

She has not gone to school in 2 weeks, Her pain is out of control and we are hoping we have something firgured out by the cruise or Autumn and I will be having alot of down time. Thankfully my family will be with us so they can keep an eye on the other girls.

Alex's birthday is sunday after we return. I would like to surprise her on the ship for her B day. Do any of you have any ideas to make it special.

Also is there anyone going snorkeling on their own in Costa maya?

Thanks

Jill

Jill, so sorry to hear Autumn's pain is not controlled. We will keep up the prayers for her. I'm sure this group will figure out something fun to do for Alex for her bday!
