Let's think about warmer times and dole whips (particularly those of us going through this polar vortex).
Just confirmed July 5 to 11 boardwalk villas garden pool view (on the wait list for July 3 and 4 currently booked for AKL). Let the countdown commence!

I agree with you on thinking about warmer times and dole whips. We will be at WDW from June 28-July 4 at the Polynesian villas (also on the wait list for July 4 and currently booked July 4-6 at VGF). This will be our first trip over July 4th and cannot wait. Hoping for some pixie dust for you.

Removed ourselves from the waiting list for July 3 to 5...so July 3 to 5 Animal Kingdom Lodge Savannah..a park free stay so we can hang with the animals, resort hop, Springs etc. July 5 to 11 Boardwalk villas. 4 day park hoppers..omg the price of tickets yikes!

! A park-free stay at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to relax and watch the animals is hard to beat, and Disney's BoardWalk Villas is a fantastic base for park days. Totally with you on the ticket prices though—Park Hoppers are definitely sticker shock these days 😬. Still, July 3–11 looks like an awesome trip overall!

We were able to switch to a different room view for our dates and save a bunch of money with the discounts released this week. So excited!!

Yeah turned our 4 day parks with hoppers into 6 with no extra $! Will we use those extra park days? Maybe to bounce into epcot to see the 4th fireworks.. otherwise will be staring at the savannah with a cocktail in hand..but now that option exists.

First on-property trip July 7-14! Split stay Coronado Springs and Grand Floridian. I’m pinching myself! Kids are 7 and 10 and we are bracing ourselves for heat, humidity and thunderstorms, but thrilled none the less!

Just booked our first trip with littles for July 6-12 at Wilderness Lodge! We will have a 9yo (the reason we are going in July and not a “cooler” time of year), an almost 3yo (still free!) and an almost 1yo. The 9yo has been once at age 4 when we got married in February. I haven’t done Disney in July in forever and I’m nervous about the kids and the heat! Any pros have advice?

Awesome..I miss those days as both my kids are "Disney adults" now so you are definitely hitting a sweet spot with your kids ' ages.
I would definitely consider renting a double stroller for the wee ones...with cooling fans. This saved our lives..and backs..as the amount of walking can never be underestimated.
Invest in UV umbrellas for yourself and the 9 year old...hydration (kingdom strollers included a case of water when we rented from them)..mid day breaks to swim or recharge. Ponchos for the inevitable downpour..at least 2 pairs of shoes
.each in the event one pair gets soaked (happens a lot), ziploc bags for water protection and to put your electronics in when you go through security...makes it quicker. Portable chargers are a must. ..off the top.of my head these are the basics...oh and get food delivered from a supermarket (and beer if you indulge)...saves tons of $ to have breakfast in the room and beer at the pool ($20 a case where 1 beer could be $12 to $15 at the pool bar.)
Edited to add...maybe we will see you at Geyser Point. .we more often than not end up there for a midday break on a Magic Kingdom day.

We'll be there for the Irish Step Nationals in Orlando -- staying in Old Key West from July 1-6th! She's only dancing two of the days, so we figure that leaves enough time for fun in the parks. And since it's only 10 minutes away from OKW, it was a no brainer on where to stay.

The sad part though...both my kids are now "adults" in Mickey's eyes! 10 and 12. Just missed the free dining!
