12/04/2010 Eastern MAGIC - CHIP 'N' DALE'S CRUISIN' NUTS

For everyone participating in the FE. Is there anyone that does not celebrate Christmas? If now, which holiday do you celebrate this time of the year?

I have read on here pople bring cases of water with them, if i choose to do so do I just send it with my luggage? If not do I have to carry it onboard myself?

You need to carry the water/liquor/etc on with your carry ons. No ice, and a soft sided cooler recommended.

You're not supposed to put it in your checked luggage, even though the porters might let it. It could break and soak yours and others' luggage.

I carry on my Diet Dr Peppers :) I usually stop at store on the way to port for them.....:thumbsup2

Cool! What do they charge for the cabanas? I wouldn't be interested on this cruise since it's just me, but maybe in the future . . .

$499 I believe per Cabana..... Not getting one this time but next year we might try it out.... Gonna watch family peeps review them for a bit since I have younger kiddos!!!:thumbsup2

Last cruise we checked two cases of water and had no issues. The plan is to do the same, worse that happens is lugging around the water.

Thanks everyone for the confirmation on the FE numbers. For those of you getting soda/alcohol/water etc to carry on... we did this last time no problem. I am wondering where is the best place to get wine/beer between Daytona and the ship? All help appreciated. I looked for Trader Joes or Costco and I'm not finding either??

Did anyone else set up the Disney Vacation Connection widget to countdown to the cruise? Although the widget could be better, I am so excited to see the days left! And I need this vacation more than I've ever needed a vacation in a long time. I am so "spent" at work...

Yep - and I've seen it happen! The "no liquids in checked luggage" is DCL's rule, for good reason. The porters are not DCL employees. They will accept almost anything.

Like Taswira said, the porters are not Disney employees and will let you check anything, but it's still not recommended. I'm going to be getting some beer and carrying that on.

So today I told myself I was not going to do all day work..I would get things accomplished for the trip. First I thought, let me straighten out my daughters room (7 years old going on 15!), it should only take an hour... 4 hours later I feel like I have been hit by a truck. The good news, I have a Uhaul size load of old toys she has agreed to part with.. bad news, barely made a dent. My daughter has the top floor of a cape cod. Tons of space, but sloped ceiling so no one else wants it. Which means when we moved her in there, we took her playroom, arts and crafts room and her bedroom and made them one. Now, after the summer of only 'light' picking up.. it needed help.

I did make a pile for the cruise.. we will be handing out mardi gras beads on pirates night to any child I can flag down and temp them to take it off my hands! We found her Chip and Dale and My Pal Mickey, and put them with the cruise stuff, and found her suitcase and traveling bag. 4 hours. I need a drink! Where is that waiter by the pool with a margarita when I need one?

I heard there are a couple of places near the Radisson at the port that I'm staying at the night before...

We are staying at the Radisson, we stayed there before our last cruise, I dont remember liquor stores but i do remeber there being alot of bars.

Anyone else staying at the Raddisson? I plan on sitting by the pool (weather permiting) and having a few drinks to get ready for the cruise.

Good Morning :goodvibes

I hope everyone is doing well.
Just wwant to check my ticker WOOHOOO :cool1:
I've been reading that there are 77 on the FE list. Am I missing something- did I miss the list-is there a link I overlooked??
Between Christmas and the cruise, I've got so much to do :scared:
