12/04/2010 Eastern MAGIC - CHIP 'N' DALE'S CRUISIN' NUTS

I am thrilled with the cooler temps. I may manage to get my mom back to WDW one day next week. And it's SO nice not to instantly sweat every time I go outside. I hope the weather is cool and fall-like for Halloween.

Did you guys see this thread?

Yikes! I'm glad I already booked for next year's Return of the Cruisin' Nuts. I think I may have to start booking inside staterooms in the future!

Shari: so what do you do with all of your CC member gifts? I love the CC gifts. ( pretty sure we get 2 because we have 2 reservations. :) :thumbsup2

I like them but sometimes I give them away. When they used to give the great beach towels I gave away maybe half a dozen of those and kept the rest. I've given away numerous duffels and totes and their contents. With the latest drawstring one though, I bring it back home with whatever I bought on the ship, etc., then give it away. I can't bring myself to eat those Rice Krispie flip flops, so I always leave those behind for the room host, along with whatever bottled water I bought and didn't drink. Our host last week was thrilled - lol. ;)

I gave my mom the document/passport holder and luggage strap this time. She isn't likely to use either though, and I'm the one who carries her passport for her.

Frank - If you try those Rice Krispie flip flops and like them, you are welcome to have mine! I like Rice Krispie treats okay, but these things are loaded with heavy sugar hard icing (one red and one blue) and are shaped like flip flops. I can't bring myself to even try them. The thought of eating flip flops is more than a bit disgusting to me - lol. I will be anxious to get them out of my sight and my stateroom. :upsidedow

Loved the "Duffy" pics. Did I notice ones sitting on the "Book your next cruise" desk? I know about the return of the cruisin nuts cruise, did any more cruises get booked while you were on board? Is that what the champagne Duffy was drinking was for?

Anyway, nice to have you back in sunny Florida, glad you enjoyed yourself.

Thanks. No - I just posed Duffy all around the ship. I didn't book any new cruises. Duffy's "sparkling wine" was at the Castaway Club reception. Neither of us drank it though.

BTW - The Duffy slide show on his website should be accessible to all now, and now has captions. I had to change the privacy settings for some to view it. Did you notice the one looking down at the dock in Nassau that reads "Dream"? I'm thinking that may be for Carnival. :rolleyes1

I was hoping the CC bags were the zip ones again...I use our old one all the time. :)

I agree with you on the rice krispies treats!! My kids love them and I have never made them! ( in 4th grade my friends mom made a tray of them.. I had never had them before...we ate the entire tray... it was first/last time I ever ate them. :rotfl2: )

I am getting very excited. I am going to see Lion King - Broadway in Chicago - Wednesday. Last time I saw it, we were in the third row and I feel I missed the "big picture" sitting so close. This time we are in the first row of the balcony so we will see everything. :cheer2:

Val - If you mean the DCL duffel with the zipper, two outside pockets, mesh pockets and shoulder strap, that's the one I use often also. It allows for more organized packing than the drawstring bag. I just bring home souvenirs and maybe dirty laundry in that one! :lmao:

Judy - I prefer to be up close at shows because I like to see the sweat on their faces and the tears in their eyes, etc., BUT I also like to occasionally have a distant view, because it is an entirely different perspective and gives one a new appreciation of the show. Speaking of "up close" though: My mom and I were front-row center for the Walt Disney Theatre shows last week . . so close that I even noticed how Buzz Lightyear spit when he talked! :rotfl2:

We saw Lion King last month when it was here- from the balcony. We all loved it. Have a wonderful time.

When we visit St. Martin will the ship be on island time or still on eastern time? I need to know if the time will be the same or there will be a hour difference to book a excursion.

Thanks,

Hope everyone is doing well

Just returned from our Thanksgiving up here in Canada :thumbsup2 The fall weather has been amazing, and as the leaves turn colour it makes the landscapes picture perfect.

Lion King was in Toronto for an extended run years ago, saw it a few times and thought is was fantastic no matter where we sat. Enjoy!!!:goodvibes

Hello cruisin' nuts! This is our first Disney Cruise and we're still in GTY status. Anyone know when we should get our exact room number? Documents should be coming out soon, right?

Welcome, Lins! You can get assigned a cabin usually anywhere from 45 days out up until you arrive at the port. I haven't received mine yet. Cruise docs are usually sent 2-3 weeks from sail date, so I wouldn't expect them until next month.

Hey all - I hope everyone is having a great week. Just a reminder that if you don't make a habit of checking our Chip 'n' Dale's Cruisin' Nuts website regularly, please take a moment to visit the NEWS page of our site and to scroll through the entire page so you don't miss anything, because sometimes I rearrange items when I add something. I also add info to an existing paragraph if it comes under that topic. So check it out when you have time. Thanks!

Has everyone nearly finished packing? ;)

Okay. I know I'm OCD about it, but packing so early DOES make the trip seem like it lasts longer - lol. Seven nights isn't long enough. I want to stretch it out as much as possible! :rotfl2:

John will probably pack Dec 3. :lmao: he is such a last minute person for everything!!

Seeing suitcases sitting out would drive his Type A personality crazy!! :rotfl: we had all the moving boxes out of our house in under 10 days.
