12/04/2010 Eastern MAGIC - CHIP 'N' DALE'S CRUISIN' NUTS

Got your facebook request and added you to the group. Will this be your first cruise?

Thanks for the add. This will be our second DCL cruise. Our first was our honeymoon exactly 5 years earlier (of course it was a Western that time). Our anniversary is actually this Friday (10/8), but I had just started a new job at the time, and so we honeymooned 2 months later. Figured it'd be fun to do the anniversary trip 5 years after the honeymoon. Super excited for this, as we're frequent St. Maarten travelers but haven't been in 2 years.

Not sure if I mentioned it or not..but planning, preparing, and anticipating this cruise is my source of sanity right now!
I am overwhelmed with all my businesses right now. . . and every day it seems to get crazier. Part of me is thrilled that I am busy, and happy things are launching so well, but finding good help is challenging though you would think others would love to have a flexible schedule and work from home like I do.

Anyway.. when things get too crazy, I pull up the disboards and 'mentally' take a 'precruise' vacation before getting back to work. I'm semi-terrified to be 'unplugged' on vacation. I only do it once a year on vacation, but I've never been this deep in running my own businesses, or had my hands in so many 'pots' at once.

Here is to "not having a breakdown before the cruise because of too much work" and "not having a breakdown during the cruise because of sudden work withdraw" http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/rolleye11.gif

How many days left????

Welcome Disney Pups

Tanya, by my count I've got 59 days, but I count the Friday before because when I'm in my airplane seat, I'm on vacation !!!!!!!11:cool1:

Taswira, welcome home! How was your cruise? It's been a little chilly here in sunny FL while you were gone. Did you need a jacket out on the water? Hope Duffy Bear enjoyed himself!:flower3:

:welcome: Welcome, DisneyPups! I just returned from a quick 4-night Wonder cruise, but I'm glad you found the thread and our website. I'm also thankful to Frank for adding you to our FB group in my absence. I added you to our cruiser list. Welcome aboard!

And to all: We have two new listings on our Cruisin' Nuts Kids list, but I was unable to find the profile of "We Love Disney!" (That's how it was submitted) or even "We love Disney" (how I have it on our cruiser list) to link back to. Help - anyone? :confused3

Thanks! I am SO groggy because I was awake most of the night, listening to the creaking of the ship - lol. Didn't bother me until last night. Then since I got home today I've had so much to do and I'm not thinking straight!

The cruise was WONDERful! I survived sailing with my mom again. This time she used her rollator everywhere but Palo (a cane there) so it was not nearly as frustrating for me, but we still had some tense moments - haha. Never mind!

Duffy LOVED it and everyone seemed to love Duffy. If I can recover and finish catching up, I should have nearly a hundred photos on his website by tomorrow night. Or perhaps I'm being a bit optimistic in my plans. Will keep you posted!

I'm glad to see the activity here and that we have new Cruisin' Nuts. :thumbsup2

I think I'll sign off until tomorrow. I need to shower and try to stay awake a few more hours.

Welcome back Sheri :)
I just wanted to share with all of you I got Le Cellier for my Birthday (Oct 30th)!! I even managed to get it for 4 pm after having originally having a 845pm time and looking for over a month straight to get that. It is amazing what you can find if you keep looking;):banana::banana:

Why what happened at your dinner? If you dont mind sharing?

our waitress was awful and slow.... we felt like we were there for---ever, our food was bland,my steak was way undercooked. I ordered it medium...it came out rare! it was one of the worst meals we have ever eaten at Disney. we were soo looking forward to this meal and it was such a disapointment. something else happened too...and the saddest part no manager ever came to our table or anything. I know you can have a bad meal anywhere... but Le Celllier is supposed to be one of the best. Our meal at Kona was 10x better and the service was 100x better! :)

Wow I'm sorry you had such a bad exerience. Was this your first time there? I agree since it is supposed to be one of the best and they are changing to 2 credits next year they should have it together. I would be upset if thats the experience I get after all the trouble I went through to get this reservation LOL. They get new Cast Members in I think every 6 months so you never know what kind of service you will get each time you go. Le Cellier always seems to be slower than other places but never had a problem with the food. Ive never been to Kona I should add it to my list for next year. Thank you for sharing :) Hope the rest of your vacation was awesome!!

It was our first and last time at LeCellier. :rotfl2: we just laugh about it now. even that night we did.

Jenn ... I cant remember.. where are you staying?

I think we decided we are more or less going to spend most of the day on the ship when we go to St Thomas. we want to do lunch in the dining room, take advantage of the near empty pools!

Very much like my last experience there, and I have not been back since and don't plan to. I was in a group of maybe 6 people. Service was dreadful in every way. I was never offered an iced tea refill. When the person next to me finally requested one (both our tea glasses had been empty for 30 minutes!), the server filled his but not mine! Plus, we were never even ASKED if we wanted dessert. He plopped the bill in front of us and walked away! No - I won't go back to Le Cellier. If your food and service is good there nowadays, consider yourself VERY lucky! It used to be one of the best. No more. BUT that is not to say you won't have a wonderful experience. There are exceptions to everything and the place does still have its fans. The Garden Grill went downhill, but I still love it for the characters. Le Cellier has no characters, so if the food and service are not up to par, it has nothing to offer me. P.S.: I love Kona also. :)

Thanks. I have that info, but what I need is a link to their profile on the Dis so I can link back to it from their two Cruisin' Nuts Kids listings. Have they posted anywhere on our Dis thread? If so, I can't find it even through search.

no I dont think they posted anywhere... I use her real email.

We've also had the same dismal experiences at Le Cellier. A few years ago, we had wonderful meals there, but not in the last couple of years. Not even attempting it again until I get quite a few good reviews in the future!

Glad you got back, Taswira! Sounds like a great time and now you get to go again very soon with us! Sounds like your Mom had a good time and I'm glad Duffy was a big hit..:woohoo:
