12/04/2010 Eastern MAGIC - CHIP 'N' DALE'S CRUISIN' NUTS

On Island Days what is there to do on the Ship? We are thinking of staying on the ship not sure yet? Just debating the idea. Might be peaceful and quiet. We arent sure what we want to do yet.
Kids clubs have their activities, of course.

For family/adults - Things like Chip It Golf, Mr. Toad's Wild Race, Wii events in Diversions, seminars on things like Origami Animals, family crafts, DVC presentations, Scrabble Tournament, board games, etc. I don't think they usually show any films in the Buena Vista Theater until around 2 pm. As for the pools - You can't count on them being open all day because that's the prime time for draining and cleaning if needed, but mostly that happens with the Mickey Pool - lol.

I don't care about the activities because when most people are off the ship is when I can just relax and enjoy the lack of crowd. :goodvibes

Hope I have enough time to get back for brunch -- have the St. Thomas island tour that ends at 11:05am and brunch at 11:30am.

They apparently don't do the paradise point tram when tendering. Maybe there'll be time after brunch...

Jenn---the pools are empty on Island Days!! :) the kids had the pool to themselves ! :) it was to watch them set up for Pirate night too... almost like a behind the scenes!
we might be onboard in St Thomas too!

I thought you have brunch on Thursday. That's a sea day. They only do brunch on days at sea. :confused3

I went in this afternoon just to see if there were any Palo dinners open... the only night really booked is Pirate night. All the other nights have openings! wow.. we must be no where near a full ship.
Brunch was all filled up!

Just bought our MNSSHP for the 25th of Sept!

I think you are right, Val. I know it's good business for DCL to sail a full ship, but it is SO much more pleasant when there are fewer guests. Of course, I'd like MORE Cruisin' Nuts, but fewer of everyone else! ;)

You know, I got my lines crossed on the print-out. That and I wasn't really paying attention. I was just happy to be done with the bookings.

But you do have brunch on Thursday, right Frank? So no worries about getting back from your excursion. :thumbsup2

I am hoping not to have a full ship. I have a gty. cabin and I am hoping for a good upgrade.:wizard: I have been watching the cruise on Disney They have been trying to sell cat 12 Qtys. With some luck they could come out with some Military discounts also.:cloud9:

WestCoastNovaks: we too will be staying in WDW for 3 days after the cruise. Also doing the Christmas party. We planned it, then cancelled, due to loss of a job over the summer, but now rebooked, but didnt tell our DS 12 that we rebooked. The look on his face when we pull into Pop Century will be priceless.

Hey Everyone........ We just got back from a quick getaway down to Kure Beach NC since the Hurricane bypassed the area.... IT was not really crowded and the weather was BEAUTIFUL!!!! Nice little mini getaway for us:thumbsup2

I booked brunch for Sunday at 11:30 :woohoo:

Haven't decided on excursions yet:confused3 I want to take my DS 6 snorkeling but dont want to do one where we have to jump off the boat and would rather walk in like at Castaway.....

Someone asked about kids and late dining...... LOVE LOVE that they come and get the kiddos.... It works out super... Kids eat their meals while we had apps and then they were gone and we could relax and have entrees :cool1:

Is anyone planning on bringing adult beverages or other beverages on board? dont laugh but I am easy to spot... I am the one with the cans of Pepsi on board. not a fan of coke, so we bring me a case of Pepsi! and I have a bunch of people always come up to me and say...where did you get that? :rotfl2:
I am planning to bring mini bottles of margaritas too. thought about buying a mini blender too :rotfl:

:rolleyes1 Diet Dr Pepper usually is my drug of choice!

I just got REALLY impulsive and acted upon the impulse. FL Res rates for the Oct. 3rd 4-night Wonder came out, and they happened to have a Cat. 7 (although I booked it so quickly that I inadvertently got #6134, which used to be a Cat. 6). I only booked because my mom agreed to split the cost with me. Hoping she can see "The Golden Mickeys". I know it was supposed to end sometime this year, but it IS still showing on DCL's site so . . .

I haven't been on the Wonder in YEARS! Hopefully this will make my mom not feel so bad about ME going on the Magic two months later . . without her. :boat:

Just wanted to let my fellow Nuts know because now our Cruisin' Nuts cruise will become my 14th instead of 13th, and I think I feel good about that! I am SO superstitious! :wizard:

:woohoo: That is awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I totally miss my mom and she cruised with me everytime before she passed away 2yrs ago.... It rocks that you take her!!!

That sounds great to me. This would be our first time staying on the ship but with all the people going to be on the island that day it doesnt sound like much fun to me :)

Just bought our MNSSHP for the 26th of Sept!

Congratulations!! Have you been to the Halloween party before? We like it better than the Christmas party!!

Jenn-- we love love the Halloween party! :) Natalie even made the kids Disney pillowcases to trick or treat. (Buzz, Tink and Mickey). :)
we wanted to do the party on Thurs nite, but we have a MK view room so we are watching the fireworks from there. :) (or the roof....I hear we can see Illuminations from there too).

For those of you that have done a sitdown breakfast.... is it the same menu every day? and does the restaurant location change? we always eat at Goofys galley or have done the buffet. I am not a breakfast fan, but dh and the kids are and I said this is the trip to try new things. :)
