Thanks for checking in with us. It's understandable that everyone gets busy, and the cruise is still several months ahead, but it's so nice to hear from our cruisers now and then so we know they are still with us or can update our list if plans have changed. We hope to see you posting more as we get closer to sailing. :boat:

Yesterday I received two identical e-mails from DCL, except for the mention of the date. They were "How Exciting! The Meyr Party Disney Cruise Is Underway!" One was for this December's and the other for next December's. Wow! They really ARE trying to stir the excitement FAR ahead, aren't they? Too bad they can't automatically post such "You're going to have a blast!" type messages here on our thread! :rotfl2:

It helps to have a pre teen techie in the house! He discovered zedge.com and we all got way cool ringtones.

I will be looking into this lol asap another one to look at is tonethis.com you can make your own out of different songs. :)

Dato63 we will all miss you, you are in my thoughts and prayers :)

I've gotten a couple of these emails as well. We're under 300 days left...let's get this party started!

I haven't received any emails:confused3 Maybe because I booked thru TA and not directly thru Disney?? I am feeling a little out of the loop:scared:

but it won't keep us from just being really excited at our house!:cheer2: Our first Disney cruise. Can't believe that it is finally coming after booking 2 years ago. :woohoo:

SouthernGirls3 - Do you receive ANY e-mail from Disney at all? Are you registered on disney.com and are you able to log into DCL's site and at least view your reservation? I have heard that even those who do not book directly can view their res by putting in their reservation number, but of course do not have control of their res to make any changes. And your main registration as a disney.com user is where you choose whether or not to receive e-mail from them, and what types. DCL's is a sub-site of disney.com.

Even Castaway Club members log on to DCL's site with their Castaway Club number, but should be logged in with their disney.com ID as well.

SouthernGirls3 - Forgot to ask, are you sure DCL even HAS your e-mail address? I imagine so, but it never hurts to ask since you are a first-time cruiser. ;)

Well, I've gone in and updated everything on the site, so maybe that was the issue? Although they did have my email, but now I have 2 different emails, since we have 2 rooms. I will be so excited to see an email come now:banana:

Thank you for your help.

Have any of you been following this thread about what the Magic and her guests have been through the last couple of days? The saga begins about halfway down the first page. She arrived safely back in port this morning, but as of the most recent post no guests have debarked except a medical emergency. One poster from aboard said there were 5 medical emergencies on that sailing, including a child who had to be airlifted from Castaway Cay. Wow. This was truly a Murphy's Law cruise. But as usual, DCL handled it well.

Hopefully by the time anyone reads this, the guests will be leaving the ship at last.

The Magic's situation this past weekend (Thankfully over and turned out well, IMO) has prompted me to lean towards taking a bit larger carry-on in lieu of my usual tote, for the peace of mind of knowing I'd have anything I might need in the event of a delay of a day or two, without hassling with getting back into my checked bag they would return to me. I am OCD enough that in the event of such an occurrence, it would be comforting to not be anxious about getting my luggage back. ;)

We are still set. Any suggestions for birthday celebration would be appreciated. My DD turns 21 on Dec. 6th. I want to celebrate her 21st birthday on the ship at dinner.

dinner at Palo?

in the regular dining room at dinner, they will bring her a cake and sing to her. maybe have them bring champagne with the cake?

Since that is a day at sea, you could start the celebration early and try for brunch or high tea at Palo, then do your regular dining rotation for dinner if you can't get or don't want to do Palo that evening. Whatever you do, let servers and crew members know in advance that it is her birthday (The 6th is my b'day also!). There is always the possibility of some nice surprises. You never know. ;)

I'm planning for a Palo brunch and a Palo dinner at some point. I haven't decided which days, but I'm leaning toward the second day at sea for Brunch.

I just don't want to miss the show dinner at AP. I wish we could find out our rotations ahead of time.

*paces* Is it time to leave yet?
