12/04/2010 Eastern MAGIC - CHIP 'N' DALE'S CRUISIN' NUTS

Hi, all! We're coming on this cruise!! It'll be our first cruise...first of ANY kind...so excited it's DCL!!

Jodi, Keith (DH), Katie (DD, 5), Kody (DS, 2). We're traveling with my sister & family but I'll let her post her own info here. :) We have our cabin #, but I don't know it. LOL

Can't wait!!! I got so excited I already added the Chipmunks to my siggy! :rotfl:

Welcome!

:welcome: Hey - We are thrilled that you are joining Chip 'n' Dale's Cruisin' Nuts! Since your user name starts with "A," you are now at the top of our cruiser list! :woohoo:

And thanks so much for adding our cruise logo to your sig! If you would like to make it link to our cruise website, you can use the following code:

[url=http://www.primateprojections.com/CruiseNuts/][img]http://www.primateprojections.com/CruiseNuts/MiniMunksLogo.jpg[/img][/url]

Thanks!!! I added the link! :)

The ages I gave are their ages when we sail! Kody will have just turned 2, and Katie will turn 6 a few weeks after we get back. :( Where does the time go?

It must be late...when you said my name starts with "A" I didn't get it. LOL

Looking forward to getting to know all of you and to an awesome vacation!!

Sorry I have been missing- it's been a little crazy out here. My mom called us a couple weeks ago with some bad news. She had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Both my grandmother and great aunt died of the disease so it wasn't really a true surprise but it wasn't good all the same. She said she was having surgery and not to worry  So my little bro and I flew in the morning of the surgery from two different states, met at the airport, rented a car and showed up at the hospital right before they took her into surgery. We figured even if she really didn't need us- Dad did! She was mad but only for a minute- we simply asked her, "How crappy of a mom do you really think you were?" She had to laugh at that one. Surgery went well, recovery not so. A 2nd surgery later to repair a bleeder- she is doing much better. Margins were clear and Dr.s say all is good. She will have reconstruction in the fall. So sorry I have been away but it was worth it to be able to help out. Hope all is well with you. Ladies- get those mamograms, please!

On a happier note:

Welcome to our newest member Avonlady1001! and...

I think we will use a Christmas stocking as our FE. It worked pretty well in Dec 2007. What is everyone planning to use? :santa:

We have a "Tiffany" FE from our last cruise. She does beautiful work:) and
I am collecting magnets already too:woohoo:

Hi, Tinkluvr12. Thanks for the welcome. I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. Glad she's doing well now! Here's to a speedy recovery!!!!!

Hello everyone! I am Avonlady's sister.
This is my 3rd Disney cruise on the Magic! whoohoo!:woohoo: My first was back in 2004 with my mom and two best friends. My second was my honeymoon! I am so excited that my third is with my DH Michael and DD/2 (will be 4 at time of cruise) and my sister and her family. Have never been with kids so will be a totally new experience.
I am also a travel agent ( Disney College of Knowledge Graduate!) who sells wdw and dcl everyday! I get so envious when I send people on the dcl but now I AM GOING!!!!!!! WHOOHOO:banana:
Jamie

Stephanie (Tinkluvr12), I'm so sorry about your mother. Keep the faith and hopefully everything will be fine. Don't lose hope because of family history. There have been many medical advances and more and more people are beating cancer and living long and happy lives.

Avonlady1001 - Yes, our cruiser list is alphabetical by user name, so that presently put you at the top!

:welcome: Welcome, Jamie and family! You are on the list. Check it out and let me know if you would like to add any info. Thanks for sailing with us! :goodvibes

BTW - Although I only occasionally do travel consulting now, I also am a CDK trained Disney Specialist and a Disney Cruise Line specialist. Disney Cruise College was my first cruise ever. I always thought I would hate cruising, but all it took was Disney to change my mind! :wizard:

Here's some Pixie dust your way, Tink -- I had a good friend die from breast cancer, and I pray that your mom recovers.

Hi Thanks for the welcome! And thanks for adding us to the list! Can I add our room #'s and my daughters name?
We are in room #7503
Avonlady is #7501
DD is Maddalena

I hope to have an addition to the list! lol...I will keep all posted!
Thanks
Jamie

Hi Jollyg...see you on Deck 7..we are neighbors! Room #7503 and #7501. We are right around the corner! :)

Thanks for the info, Jamie. Update is made. There are several of us on Deck 7. :cool1:

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. That's what I love about this place I knew I would feel better just by logging on! Recovery is going much better now- it just takes time.;)

Taswira- Yes, there are many advances now. I have more and more hope each day especially for my little girl. My mom had a new device called onQ. It is a small device that keeps the soft tissue area after surgery numb. Two of the nurses hadn't ever seen one before and the Dr. said it was only his 3rd time using it. The idea is if you don't hurt after surgery you will heal faster. Mom has had SO little pain. If any of you have a soft tissue surgery ask about it.:)

Have a great weekend everyone and welcome Jamie. All you deck 7 folks better not party too loudly or those of us on deck 6 will have to bang on the ceiling or just join you! LOL Having so many of us on those 2 decks will definitely make FE delivering easier:thumbsup2

Steph

Great, now I have to add bringing a portable broom with to bang the ceiling with (it just doesn't have the same effect punching it with your hand)!

No worries. Those of us on Deck 7 will simply have to invite our Deck 6 pals up for a get-together on that Deck 7 aft "secret verandah," since there is no way we could all fit on any of our own verandahs (unless someone here has the Walt or Roy suite?). party:

Hey - Will anyone here be in 6636? I'm in 7626 Cat. 7, and I think 6636 is just beneath it. It isn't on our cruiser list yet, but could be someone who did not provide their cabin number so I was just wondering. ::MinnieMo

Hey all - Tinkluvr12 now has a photo linked from her user name on our cruiser list. Check it out! (Thanks, Stephanie!) :cool1:

No room could be noisier than our last cruise (8576).. we were right below the Mickey Pool and all night long you heard chairs scrape.

I felt bad for who was below us... our son liked to jump off the top bunk/ladder all the time.

so party on Deck 7??

Dh and I are hoping to maybe use the adult only pool. We have yet to go in it. :lmao:
