Hey - Thanks guys/gals for keeping some action going here. We have a great group of cruisers here and your posts on this thread are greatly appreciated.

I am dropping my other cruise (the Wonder) and concentrating solely on this one. Although booked in her own stateroom, Holly (ThePhantomsGirl) is also canceling the Wonder. Since I suffer from triskaidekaphobia anyway, I wasn't too happy that this magical Chip 'n' Dale's Cruisin' Nuts sailing would have been my 13th! Now it will be my 12th so it's back to chipmunk cheery for me! LOL

My DH thinks I'm nuts for already making plans, shirts & magnets. But I'm a planner & worrier. I like to space out the cost & if I wait until later I will panic. Anyhow, I had never made magnets before, but they have come out fine so far. This past weekend my DDs were both sick and they had fun decorating the fridge. Kind of a preview of our stateroom door. It was sweet seeing them get so excited by magnets. And the women on the disboard disign board are soooo creative - the magnets are really awesome.

No need to feel sorry for me canceling my other cruise. It looked like Holly would not be getting the vacation time, and although we booked separately, one of my reasons for going was so she could experience the other ship. I had another reason for canceling as well, but it mostly involved bad vibes about something. That is irrelevant now. I've sailed on the Wonder many times and there will be other opportunities . . or maybe I'll hold off booking another one until the new ships are ready.

Sometimes living near WDW is like a full-time vacation anyway. It's great being able to meet others from the boards, and especially those on this cruise!

And I know what you mean, I work in computer tech support, but if I didn't love Disney I might have had the same reaction -- "What are we doing that for?"

I am a planner, i plan to the last detail but then when I get to where we are going or doing I find that we go based on how we feel and don't always follow the plan.

Sorry to have gone quiet things got nuts when I started my new job. Training Ended on Thursday I am off today tomorrow then Sunday I go in to take my first test. Then i have training on Monday, for the other portion of my job and test again on Thursday.

I can't wait to get settled in so that I can get past the anxiety about passing the tests!

I had the realtors at my house today, once we come with a price, it will be on the market! no one is allowed to do anything.the house is spotless.

We might book a long weekend in Sept / Oct. and take advantage of the 40% at the value resorts. I want to do MNSSHP again!

Ooooh - a spotless house! Awesome! I used to envision that by this early 21st century, technology would be advanced enough for full-time, fully functioning housekeeping robots to be affordable for us all and none of us would ever need to clean house again. Ah . . the dream!

My weekend passed so quickly that I barely remember it except for watching the Academy Awards (off and on with some channel surfing) last night. At least Hugh Jackman's "entertaining" was a switch from the norm.

Glad to hear you might be back for MNSSHP this year. I plan to go but will choose one of the earliest dates (for both that and MVMCP) in an attempt to avoid the overcrowding. I'm only hoping they don't hike the party ticket prices yet again!

Yep! I don't think iRobot has created a dusting Roomba yet - LOL. They have one that vacuums, another one that washes bare floors, one that cleans gutters and another that cleans pools - - but no duster. Drats!

Just had a thought: If the economy keeps worsening, couldn't you just see DCL going to robotic cleaning/maintenance to replace their humans? But with Disney's animatronics background, they could all be audio-animatronic androids! Ah, the future awaits!

Maybe android wait-staff would solve the problem of getting that rare "bad server." They'd still have to program in various personalities though.

I know I have been missing in action....things around here are a lot crazy....
between work and other things I cant believe we are now at the end of february.

Yesterday was my "baby's" birthday....he turned 27 yikes.... (he even thinks he old)...next month is my daughters...she will be 29.....which I cant fatham as I am only 32 Ok wishing I was 32 again.

Anyway....was going to put my house up on the market...got it pretty much ready, had the realtor come out and he pretty much wants us to give it away....I know what my house is worth and so I think I will just hang out here a few more years....

Hi Denise! Great to see you here!

I know the market value on my mom's house here in FL is down nearly 40% from last year, while POA fees went UP. Fortunately, she bought the house outright after selling her house in San Diego, so having no payments she has no plans to ever sell. I think homes in some states/areas did not drop too much, but it's definitely a buyer's market until the economy recovers. If you can hang onto it a few more years you should be able to get much more for it.

I'm waiting until it gets closer, to make sure we are still able to go, and then plan to buy one off ebay. I saw some on there I really liked. Perhaps I should go ahead and buy one, the next time I see one I really like - if something happens and we can't go in 2010 there are always future cruises right?

My DDs had fun decorating our fridge with the magnets I've made so far.

I didn't do a FE for my mousefest cruise, but I might buy one off of Ebay closer to the cruise.

I got a nice packet of goodies on my fish with some customized post-its, a highlighter, pen, and magnets one day, and another I got some stuff from Allears with more post-its and a mini sewing kit.

I had someone make ours for our cruise last year. It has a pocket for each of us..the only problem is the pockets are not in order because of the coloring. My pocket is on the bottom. Maybe I will label this time. I might put stockings up on our door too. (just little ones.) and something for dhs bday... he turns 40 that week! just keep in mind to pack zip ties to secure your f/e kids will steal anything even if it has your name on it. (someone from our last cruise makes f/es and they are really cute.) look for all the trip reports from the double dip you will see them in there.

We are off to Pittsburgh this weekend, it is my cousins baby shower. since dh works for Graco baby he was able to get her sooo much at a discount. and since my dad has such a big family there are 11 of us pitching in for gifts. ( I can only imagine how obnoxious we might look with soo many gifts.

Keeping my fingers crossed for the sale of your house. Having that bit of land with it really does help, I'm sure. You should be fine.

On Tuesday I leave for 5 weeks in Idaho and a few days in Las Vegas for that fighter pilot reunion. I am actually looking forward to the coolness of Idaho, although this time of year is nice in FL also. It's supposed to get to near 80 here today. My sister, her fiance, my nephew (Delta Connection/Comair pilot) and my mom and I are grilling steaks tonight. I love "patio time."

Oh to cook out again and sit out again! I can't wait. This has been a very long, snowy, cold winter for us.
Have a great time in Idaho and Las Vegas.
Our next trip is a road trip in April. We have been driving Rte 66 for several years. We started at Lake Michigan in Chicago and have traveled it as far as The Blue Whale in Catoosa OK. Last November we did some of CA, mostly Victorville and Santa Monica (when we added Disneyland onto our Las Vegas annual business trip for my husband). This year we are hoping to complete OK and then I think the remainder will be fly in and drive trips.
