Hello Cruisin' Nuts.....Just a note to thank everyone for the good wishes. Surgery went fine and I am recovering well. Get my stitches out on Thursday and am doing everything I can to get this recovery on the fast track so I will be as good as possible by cruise time.

Catching up on all the news. Welcome to new cruisers. Feeling the pain of the mistakenly trashed FE's and hoping you are coping well. Congrats to all who are on top of the packing and Christmas decorating. Hope all the misfitting clothes people get their new shopping done. Wish I could buy a new dress but can't shop right now so I guess I will be wearing the same old dress for formal night. Oh well, the pictures will look the same as the last couple of cruises. Dana, hope you are doing OK and we will all be there on the cruise to give you a hug!

We are using a Christmas stocking for our FE and all the gifts are done. Have printed the sticker tags for the Fitness Walk. Someone had mentioned a gift exchange for a meet, have we heard any more about that? Trying to catch up but may have missed some things. The house is clean for our house sitters and the bags are about 1/4 packed.

We use glow sticks for night lights, they work great, just enough light to get to the bathroom. Throw them out and less to carry home, or more room for FE's in the bags! Taswira, I also got an e-mail congratulating me on booking my cruise, it threw me for a moment as well.

Now, what am I forgetting?????

Well looks like no dressing up for pirates night for us. The girls *don't want to do it again* What a bummer, I enjoyed it on the past cruises but they're not hearing it lol. Hope everyone is well.

I just played around on the website and all it offered for our cruise was:
Cat 5 - gty
Cat 4 - 2 cabins
Cat 3 - 6 cabins including 2 mid ship(8032 & 8034)

I was going back and forth about putting up a tree but I just could not resist. I put up the first one and I am gonna put up atleast 2 more. My Big tree is all pooh and friends it would not be christmas without it.

I usually wait until after thanksgiving but we are leaving on the 29th for Disney and I work sat/sun 12 hour nights at the hospital so I am pressed for time, I just thought I would get a jump on things. Because we will not be home until the 16th

Next Tuesday is my mom's birthday. Two days later is Thanksgiving. The following day I'll put up the tree and the decorations. Then I'll make the final decision on whether my 'munks and Duffy will need their own wheeled suitcase, in which case I'll be packing my DCL wheeled carry-on for them. I've decided that Duffy's most appropriate attire for the cruise will be his sailor suit anyway, so I might limit him to just that. Haven't yet decided. I'll bring my Christmas Chip 'n' Dale plus various 'munk stuff to decorate my stateroom, but haven't decided whether to bring sailor Chip 'n' Dale or not.

Decisions, decisions!

This past week has not been a good one for me. Mostly "family stuff" going on. Lots of turmoil. Life happens. But on a happier note - My mom and I plan to go to WDW tomorrow. We'll spend most of our time at MK, but will first make a quick visit to Epcot to see the Duffy "Cuddliest Christmas tree" for Toys for Tots.

I just put new batteries in my Pal Mickey and he is going with me in my carryon...he's not going to be riding in checked luggage!

I am gearing up to pack for our trip to Pittsburgh next week, nothing like a week long trip before vacation!!

I plan on buying the kids their needed clothes there. (Tax free!!). John jr has no dockers right now....somehow gym shorts and polos wont cut it in the dining room.

I have stalled on putting up the rest of the Christmas decorations... still feels weird to me seeing leaves on the trees in November.

I printed out the MEETS page. On the "details to be announced" like the group photo by the Christmas tree...how will we be informed of the details? This is a computer-free cruise for us.

It will be computer-free for me as well, as always! MEETS page will be updated sometime next week. We can set a time for the group photo but if we want it to be a Shutters photo I don't believe that can be arranged until we are aboard. Those who can make it to our first onboard meet (in Promenade Lounge at 3 pm day of boarding) may need to spread the word after it is arranged. Am hoping we can mange to shoot pics (with our own cameras) of that first meet as well, for our post-cruise gallery on the site.

If anyone is willing to volunteer to take charge of making the arrangements for a group pic by Shutters, let me know. If you have knowledge of how to arrange this ahead of time, all the better.

That changed already. Now, although you can select Cat. 4 (no lower cat choices anymore), if you try to select a stateroom it shows none available and you will be GTY. Upgrade to Cat. 3? There are still 6 Cat 3 available.

Got CJ's suit all picked up and Rick's is at alterations. One of my $5 clearance dresses got the hubby veto but I was able to recycle a bridesmaid dress from over 15 years ago! So glad fashion is cyclical and that I am slow at cleaning closets.

We are dressing for pirate night and hope some others are too.

Hope everyone has a good week. Like many of you this is our last weekend home before we fly out. We are headed to Flaming Gorge for part of the Thanksgiving weekend to cut our Christmas trees.

Has anyone ordered the little tree for your room? I can't find the e mail they sent. If anyone has the info I would love it. I am sure it is on the website somewhere but I haven't been able to spot it and a search of Christmas tree just talked about the big one in the atrium.

HOLY COW!!! Yeah, nevermind! But thanks for looking for me, Shari. I think I'll pack a few things myself and call it good. I want to get an ornament at each stop and one on the ship. I think I will cut a piece of garland to hang on the curtain and add the ornaments as we get them. Our room should look very festive by the end of the trip.

Can we do twinkle lights or is that frowned upon?
