Well what a wake up call coming back from WDW, over a foot of snow is on the ground here in OH. Did I mention I can not wait to move to Atlanta this summer? I know it can snow, but nothing like this.

We had a blast at WDW over the holidays! Yes it was crowded, but being Disney pros ( lol) we were able to do everything we wanted and more. For the most part people were very friendly.... always a few rudies out there.

Everyone got to pick a dinner this year...we had some great dinners! Chef Mickeys, Epcot Japan, Epcot Germany, Ohanas, Crystal Palace and Hollywood and Vine ( fantasmic package.) This year the characters were alot more interactive than in the past. ( maybe chef mickeys wasnt as crowded since we got there at 8pm?) and we stayed at PO Riverside. The kids want to go back next year to Magic Kingdom for New Years Eve for hte fireworks. I will be the one who needs convincing.

Our best character was Donald. my son brought his Donald stuffed animal and he ran over to our table and grabbed it off my son, then ran to Mickey to show him, well Mickey picked up a Mickey doll and they had a "battle" it went on for a few minutes. it was very cute. Goofy was tying Plutos ears in a knot. Donald untied Goofys apron... they all were very playful.

I do not want to fight the crowds for New Years Eve. lol. I am all for the fireworks, just not all the people jammed in there. lol.

And yeah, even being local, it's been awhile since I've done New Year's Eve at WDW, for exactly that reason!

Remember my son wouldnt stop talking about getting a Chip/Dale doll, well when we get there, he wants only a Mickey doll!! or Pluto. We bought him a Mickey Jedi at Hollywood studios and just a plain Pluto, as we were ready to leave he thought....hmmm maybe I do want Chip/Dale, it was funny you could actually see his brain spinning.
I bought him Chip/Dale for his bday in May.

My oldeset got an Eeyore doll, my middle daughter got Dumbo.

Another story... lol.

So my son really wants to see Chip/Dale at Hollywood Studios, so dh waits in line for them, well the line changed and donald comes out....he had all ready seen Donald.
so we get in line again to see C/D. Well the line moved too fast and we were 2 away from Donald, I thought my son was going to melt into the pavement, luckily the cast member recognized us and let others thru for Donald, so ds was happy atleast to see Chip/Dale.

I'm sure glad your son got to meet Chip 'n' Dale and that he decided he'd like a Chip 'n' Dale "doll" after all - LOL. He has to get primed for this cruise!

Mom and I watched the NYE fireworks from Ft Wilderness after we had dinner. This coming NYE we plan on the HDDR and then the Fireworks again from there it was amazing! and while the beach got packed after the last HDDR show let out it wasn't as bad as a theme park would have been.

Welcome to all the new members! My friend Kathy was on the 11-28 cruiser and she and her family had soo much fun.

it is 0 degree here right now, the kids had school cancelled. and guess where we are headed today? an indoor waterpark...I hope the heat is cranking in there!!

I can't imagine what it feels like up north with those freezing cold temps! It was in the high 30's last night here in Orlando and that was cold enough for me!


I'm hitting DHS tomorrow and tea at the GF.

I rather be cruising but will be doing so soon enough!

Our Jan 3 cruise was great. Smooth seas and friendly people. We had warm sunshine. It was the first Disney cruise to St Croix. We enjoyed the island and the people were very friendly. We saw Fredriksted and Christiansted. The locals had a parade for us with twirlers of ages 4-18, maybe. There were stilt walkers on the pier. When our Island Tour excursion was over they gave us all t-shirts and beach balls. Our tour guide was very interesting. I would say they were happy for us to be there.

That sounds really cool! I wish I were on the Magic right now! I am soooooooo missing that lovely stone lounger in the Rainforest Room!
