12/01/07 Western December 1, 2007 - Let's get the party started!

Yippie! :maleficen
Today is starting to pack day. I've got to whittle the volume down quite a bit. Most likely I'll have to do a load or 2 of laundry while on the cruise but I can live with that. Accuweather's 15 day forecast is predicting Orlando to be sunny with highs in the low 70's, and lows in the high 40's, low 50's at least up until 12/1.

That weather sounds beautiful!!! :thumbsup2
I will be keeping my fingers crossed that it will STAY that way. :goodvibes

bad news. i just realized i didn't get my docs. i called DCL and they gave me a tracking number for UPS. UPS shows it was delivered on 11/9/07. they said they left it at the door. i checked everywhere around my porch and it's not there...i even checked the bushes nearby. soooo sad.

DCL said i don't really need the travel docs because everything is on a manifest. is this true?? anyone have any experience or heard about other's similar story?

I travelled last year on a late booked cruise without docs and it was fine - most stuff can be done on line before hand, and you can get luggage tags from the porters at the dock.

Ok Accuweather is predicting 82 in MCO on December 1 with low of 70 and in Key West for Dec 2 a high of 75! Sunny both days. Doesn't get much better than that. Hope the forecast sticks.

Well, I guess it's real now. Post-football last night (go Bucks!) I drug the suitcases upstairs and cut off the tags from our last cruise. Made a Target run today for a big pile of nonsense (travel sized sunburn stuff, mouthwash, shaving cream, all that stuff).

Whoot!!

So I had a dream last night where the jist of it was about my rushing out the door to leave and only taking my carry-ons with me, forgetting my luggage - which is currently holding half of the items of my packing list...

I am finally in my ten day count down to when me and my mom leave to go play at WDW.

We are down to single digits for our vacation!

wenzdae: 300 people on our Med cruise did lose thier luggage! Well I should say their airlines lost their luggage. Luckily all 8 of our bags made it though we did find them on the wrong airline's baggage carousel. People were jamming the onbaord gift shops trying to find clothes to wear. Disney was nice enough to give them all "free" formal wear rentals. I've always heard to pack a little of every one's clothes in each suit case just in case one does get lost.

cathicool, I'm not positive what's showing right now but I know that others have posted a phone number on the main disney cruise line board that you can find out what's currently playing. I'd imagine anything that's been out the last few months will be there.

Yes - my mom and I always mix our stuff together just to avoid that...

and i hope they play enchanted...although do they only show new releases if the release day falls during the cruise? hmmm

I do hope they show the last of the Pirates of the Carribean. Since we decided on taking this cruise I have been playing the basice movies for my mom over the last few weeks...I was in shock over how many she had never seen.
I amm getting SO on edge getting ready to head to the airport...we are supposed to get some snow in time for turkey day...and my not being a fan of snow (rather not a fan of driving in it), I kinda hope there is snow on the ground when we leave here...makes the leaving here to go to a warmer place more of a vacation... :)

We are down to 3 days before we leave for WDW. We are almost completely packed, just another load of laundry to do. Since we are in Cozumel til 10:30pm do you think Pirate Night will be a different day?

I'm sure that they will have Enchanted playing. I know that I've read past cruise posts that said they actually have midnight showings of new releases.

When we were on a DCL Med. cruise in July they were showing POTC a lot, including on the jumbotron near the Goofy pool at night.

WDWLodge, have a safe trip to WDW and see you on the cruise!

I haven't packed a single thing yet. I think we'll be doing lots of trying clothes on and packing Monday the 26th since the boys are off of school. We pretty much know what we are taking, its' just making sure it still fits and getting it packed.

Yea, the suit cases are coming out this weekend (after the Thanksgiving madness is over).

My cruise docs say that we are only in Cozumel until 6:30pm. Am I missing something? I know I read in the Passporter that we are there until 10:30, but I think DCL forgot to read the book. :lmao:

I am actually nervous about getting ready, I have this mental list, but nothing really packed. And sooooooo much to do!

I tried writing a list of stuff I still need to do before we leave, but even this will not probably stop me from forgetting to do something.

Still trying to decide on what to do in Cozumel. Anyone tried the cooking trip?

I am feeling sooo panicky - so much still to do

We're doing the dolphin swim in Cozumel, but I have no idea what to do in Gramd Caymen. Any suggestions?

Hello fellow 12/1 cruisers....we are getting closer and closer to single digits on our cruise.....my DW and I leave on Wednesday 11/28 for the World....the Very Merry Christmas Party and then the MAGICal cruise....everyone leaving early have a safe trip down....see ya on the ship!

Tom:banana: :santa:

We are leaving on the 27th - Mikeys Magical party (or whatever its called) on29th :santa: .

Xmas shopping on 30th (bringing an extra suitcase!)

When we did the Western cruise before we just spent the day at Grand Cayman on 7 mile beach - took a taxi there and back (only problem was we had to sit waiting in a boiling taxi for ages while the driver touted for business to fill the van).

Haven't visited Cozumel before as the itinery changed and we visited Costa Maya.
