12/01/07 Western December 1, 2007 - Let's get the party started!

Still no documents for us. We used AAA this time around and they are so much slower than Dreams Unlimited with our DCL docs. AAA was the same way with our first DCL trip. We thought we were going to have to get them Fed Exed to us in Florida since we left a week early. We ended up getting them 10 days before the cruise after rushing the delivery. I'm glad we are using Dreams Unlimited for our next 2 DCL trips. We leave 2 weeks from today. Hopefully the next 14 days will fly by between Thanksgiving and everything else going on each day. Wrestling started for our boys so that's keeping us busy too.

I think the Monday after Thanksgiving is going to be our all day pack fest. The kids are off of school for the 1st day of hunting (seriously). We are not hunters ourselves so we'll be trying everything on and rushing out to buy any last minute items. So far the only thing we've done to get ready is getting flu shots and Hepatitis A shots for the boys (DH and I had ours). Their pediatrician recommended they get them.

We are headed out to Parent's Day at school so hopefully our documents will be waiting for us when we get back!

Seeing that I only booked this cruise last weekend I have no hope of getting my documents - will have to ask for luggage tags at the port.

Well, got home and still no cruise docs !!! I was very angry to say the least... I get in the house and check the answering machine, grumbling about who in the heck would be calling us, and the voice that came on was that of our AAA agent saying she had out cruise docs !!! Well, I barely finished listening to the message before I raced out the door to get to the ofice before they closed.

So, yippee, cruise doc in hand, no upgrades, but I wasn't expecting one since we're in a Cat 6 cabin. We're just spoiled having a veranda.

Soooooo, let get things going here. Where's the DIS Meet, I think I saw mentioned Deck 9, by the Mickey slide. Is this right, if so.... what time?

Got our cuise docs yesterday! Well, my parents got them all. Somehow, they have my address as my parents, and I have never changed it. They just get all my stuff. They give me anything important. Guess it saves me from getting a lot of junkmail.

Our plane leaves 2 weeks from today. I have so much to do, I shudder to even think about it. I figure if I have our WDW tickets, and our important documents, I'm set. Everything else is just gravy. I can always buy everything else. As long as I am on that plane and on that boat, life is good! So who's worried.......

So are we meeting?

I am so happy to hear about everyone getting their documents. I remember when I used to go through AAA, they always have the documents go to them first, so it usually takes longer to get them. Being a travel agent now, I can either set it up through Disney to go to the client directly, or come to me first. I always choose for it to go to the client directly since that is what I would want myself.

I leave 2 weeks from tomorrow, wooo hooo! :woohoo:
I know these weeks are going to just fly by...probably a little too fast. I have not even started to gather things up yet!

just have a couple questions.

are there hangers in the closet or will I need to bring some?

and in the coffee cove (not too sure on the name), I read they have magazines and books available. Anyone know what kind of selection they have...that way there would be one less thing for me to drag around...

thanks!!!

Teresa

***on the 2 week count down till we leave nebraska to go to WDW!!!*** :woohoo: :cool1: :wizard: :cool2:

There are a few hangers in the closet. But it's probably best you bring a few anyway.

The Cove Cafe - They have some books and magaine, but I think the selection is limited. If you want a current book or a new release, bring your own copy. If you finish it on the cruise, maybe you could donate it to teh cafe for future cruisers.

Couldn't believe it when I got home from work tonight - I have my docs :cheer2:
never thought they would get to the UK in under 10 days !!!!

Still in same cabin. perhaps those who haven't received their documents yet are going to receive suprise upgrades !!

Anyone know if the ship is full?

Have arranged accommodation for 3 nights before the cruise, and just booked MVMCP for the 29th.

Less than 2 weeks :scared1:

:surfweb: Hi Gail,
Since you got your tickets here is a draft copy of your door sign:
gailuk.png

It's already printed with your cabin number on it pm right away if your cabin changes..
have a nice day,
gg

Grumpy,

Looking forward to meeting you and your family. Anyone come up with a place to meet for a few minutes?

My Bad. I just found it.

This is our first cruise ever. We only booked about a month ago and chose the Cat 12's because it was quite pricey for anything else, as compared to booking a year in advance. :thumbsup2 We'll try to book much earlier in advance next time!

We'll be in room 2026. Also at second dinner seating, since we eat pretty late on normal days anyways. popcorn::

Has anyone rented those Electric Cars in Key West? We can't find any DCL excursions that we were interested in but the Elec. Cars sound like a fun idea. Rent them and drive around. We have a GPS that we could use so as to not get lost too.:scared: I hope. I found a couple sites that rent them by the hours.

They also come pick you up and drop you off. Any comments=much appreciated popcorn::
:surfweb: Hi,
I need updated information for your door sign..
please PM/e-mail me your cabin number as the one you sent in the PM(2206) in not the same as the one above.. Before I print the sign on a Magnetic sheet send correct number ...
gg

Grumpy gramps....that is a beautiful job on that door sign you made....why do all the people besides me get all the talent when it comes to doing these things?

We did get our docs yesterday....they were thrown on the front steps...

We leave two weeks from today(this morning)...flying in and staying for a couple of nights in the Animal Kingdom Lodge....

See ya all real soon!

Tom & Marilou....and yes...my MIL Norma too! :santa:

We'll get together though lets just wait..
gg

Great...and December 2nd I will be celebrating my 55th.....and I can now retire from my real job if I want to....but cannot living in New York....

See ya soon!

Just tried to look - but I am in work so cannot see the picture (something to do with security in this government department) - will look when I get home tonight. Have every confidence that it will be great.

Have been looking at the disboard for the 8th Dec (bored at work today) - they seem to be organising lots of neat activities.

My parents (who live about a block and a half away) just got their DCL documents from DHL. I am keeping my eyes peeled out the window for a yellow blur but haven't seen anything yet.

As far as seeing how full our cruise is,you can check categories on Disneycruiseline.com by going through the reservation link for our cruise and choosing a specific category/room. I looked there and at travelosity a couple of weeks ago and anywhere from a few rooms to about 10 were available on certain decks. A few decks were gurarantee only.
