We just got back and stayed off property and it was great. But we are thinking the next time we want to stay on property. Where is the best place for a family of our size??

I doubt you could stay onsite in one suite for 11, but beside getting 3 regular hotel rooms or 2 suites, you could get 2 homes at Fort Wilderness. They each hold 6.

I think the Grand Villas at OKW and BWV would hold 11, but the price may be way too much. Worth checking though.

If cost is a factor I would suggest getting 3 connecting rooms at a moderate. Another option would be 3 connecting rooms at the swan or dolphin if you qualify for a discount (nurse, teacher or gov worker)

Another option would be 2 cabins at Fort Wilderness (sleep 6 each).

A Grand Villa at Old Key West or BoardWalk will sleep 12, but they are expensive and are seldom available for rent.

However, you might want to check out the DVC site on this board about renting the points (you don't have to be a DVC member yourself) to stay there. Especially if your trip does not include a Friday or Saturday night, this can be a very attractive option. Note you'd need to book the full 12 months (or is it 11?) out to try and get a grand villa.

Also, a combination of a studio and a 2 bedroom at the DVC resorts would sleep a total of 12 and cost less than a single Grand Villa (although they might not be nerar each other in the resort, but I'm sure they'll try to get you close).

Our upcoming trip will be our third trip traveling with 11 people. We have used 3 rooms at POFQ and POR. Two of the rooms have the door in between and all three rooms are together. We've found this to be cost efficient and allows privacy. Have a great trip!

It might not seem like a big deal in planning mode, but when on vacation and cramped in a few rooms with only a bathroom each, it can be a hassle. I would take that into consideration.
