Just booked a 1BR at BWV for 5 nights and 2 nights at AKL for next Feb. We have never been to AKL, so we are excited to see it. What do people think about AKL? Last week on the Travel Channel, it was called the "best themed" hotel in Fla.

It is very well themed, seems very peaceful, and has good (though exotic) restaurants. Don't miss the Zebra Domes at Boma's!

We were there in January 2002. It was a neat hotel, very well-themed, very interesting to be able to observe the animals.

I guess I am not a fan of jungle themeing, because after 3 days there, I was happy to be going on to OKW. I was glad to have experienced it, but I don't know that I'd like to spend a whole week there. There was not a bad thing I can say about the resort...just not my speed.

AKL is our favorite on-site resort. We'd be first in line for AKL Villas points!

We have stayed at AKL twice and besides our "Home" at BWV that is our favorite place to stay....

Last year we stayed at the AKL during our two weekend nights so that we didn't have to pay the high points for the BWV. We enjoyed it very much. Our four kids had a great time but I'm not really sure if I would want to stay there for more than two or three days at a time.
