11 month window spring break 2009

Help me with my insanity....I am planning to go VWL April 10-17 2009. It is our home resort and I need a two bedroom lockoff (another family is coming with us). I am supposed to work May 14th from 8:45-1 and will not be able to call that day....should I be worried that I won't get my two bedroom lockoff if I call at 1 that day.

Probably depends on the date of Easter next year. If you are not right around Easter then you should be OK.

Will SSR be crowded as well? We are doing either 6 days in a 2 BR or 7 in a 1BR the week before Easter, but I didn't think I needed to call day to day at 11 months out.

I call when you get home ( or go on break) and waitlist if needed, I bet you would get it. I think Dedicated 2 bedrooms would book up first.

Could you possibly have car trouble that day for 15 minutes and call from your cell phone? And, if this is a day-by-day reservation, my experience has been that, except for the initial call, those calls are really quick. After you give your DVC info, you just say "I'm adding on another day to my reservation" and that's about it...really quick. Good luck.

FWIW, we successfully booked a week at BCV for March '07 at about 3 months out. We were in a studio. We had our choice of BWV, BCV, SSR, and OKW when I called. The higher point cost for March seems to keep availability high.

I am happy for you. I once got CRT 2 weeks out... but no way would I wait 2 weeks out to try and book it again.

The only time I call day by day for is at Vero Beach at Easter, since there are so few 2br units(18ded,36lockoffs). SSR has 360 dedicated 2brs, 432 lockoffs, I think one call at 11 months will work.
