11 month window- how exact?

I know if you are making reservations at your home resort, you can make them 11 months in advance. How exact do you have to be with the 11 months? Is it 11 months exactly to the day you check-in? Or is it 11 months from the month you will be there? We will be going home next summer for the first time and better yet, it will be our son's his first Disney trip. I can hardly wait and want to make reservations as soon as possible. Thanks

Better safe than sorry!! Resv. as early as possible. You can call everyday at your 11 month window, or wait till the last day of your trip and resv the entire time.
Some members call everyday, but I have found that 11 months out was no problem, to book all at once.
I'm a member at OKW and recently added on at VWL.

It is eleven months from the checkout day for any given day. That is, if you were going to be there on the night of December 1, your checkout day would be December 2 and you could call for that night on January 2(11 months to the day from the day of checkout). Hope this helps.

It is 11 months to the day of you check OUT date. If you are making your reservation for July 19, 2002 for one week, the earliest you may call is August 20, 2001 and then you may only book July 19, 2002. For the more popular Resorts, dates and rooms, I suggest that you call each day and add each day to your trip rather than wait until you can book the trip in its entirety. I may be a little over cautious but...better safe than sorry.

They are very exact, when we made our reservations I had to call back to add days as the duration was over the window. Actually this was the 7 month window, but I had to call back and add day by day.

We have had no problem calling anywhere from 10 to 11 months before date of departure from WDW. The daily calling is said to be needed for Grand Villas.

Daily calling has also been suggested for BWV standard views at certain times of year.....
