Hi again,

When booking at the 11 month or 7 month window do you (or can you) book on a day to day basis and how does it work, I mean today is March 25th so I can only book Feb 25 next year then I have to wait until tommorrow to book the 26th? Can't you just book the whole week the day starts?

Any help, Thanks

RayJay

The 11 (and 7) month reservation priority is based on checkout day.

If you want to stay at a resort from February 19-25 (checking out on the 25th) , you could have reserved the entire reservation today with one call (based on availability).

If you want to arrive on Feb. 25 you can't reserve that until Monday. Checkout for the 25th would be on the 26th and since MS is now closed until Monday, that will be the first opportunity to make a reservation for any date after February 24, 2006. (All dates thru Feb. 24, 2006 could have been reserved today.)

At times when day-by-day reservations might be important, just remember that the 11 month priority begins on the day following the actual date (the day you'd check out for that date).

With day-by-day reservations, be sure to let MS know you intend to reserve other days so they can hold the entire reservation (linking together all of the dates) and send one confirmation for the entire stay.

Enjoy!

If you are considering day-by-day reservations, call DVC on the first day and ask about the outlook for booking the remainder of your trip. Although you can only book the one night during that call, the agent will tell you if inventory is such that you need to continue calling every day.

Realistically there are only a VERY, VERY small number of days and/or units that necessitate day-by-day bookings right at 11 months.

And that was going to be my next question, how necessary is it really to have to do that? Great suggestion on asking what the inventory is.

I guest this could come into play more at 7 months if your trying to get a popular time at another resort.

Thanks again

Bingo!

We own at SSR and wanted to try and get a Standard View room at BWV for this coming May. I called 7 months out to book the first night, and the CM told me that there were "pleanty" of SV rooms available for that week. I made one more call several days later and booked the remainder of the stay. No problems.
