11/ 30 / 2008 / Where's my peeps?

Good Morning! Count us in! We just booked our cruise! Me, mom, dad and my sister will be coming! It is my sisters first cruise! I have done a few Dis Cruises myself, both 7 days and 4 nights! I am excited to be back! Look out Castaway Cay... the beached whales are coming!

Yea! My son might have a friend in the clubs!

tlens- I was thinking the same thimg. The last time we cruise oldest was 5 and would not go anywhere near the kids club (another cruise line). This is also the same child that refuses to remove his tag off the luggage from our last cruise because he wants to go back.

Does that work?
I'll have to try that!

Welcome welcome everyone. I am one of those that since I booked April 24 of 2007. (ugh a year ago) I have visted the boards daily sometimes twice a day. I now eat my lunch at my desk at work just to surf the boards and alot of times I check again when I get home. I love this I am just afraid of the let down come dec 5 when I am home and have nothing more to plan. (guess I just have to book another cruise while on board) lol :rotfl: Can't wait to meet everyone once we board the ship.

I got you beat! LOL I booked March 30, 2007! Man it's been a long time!! But, I've been paying it off every month. I have $100.00 left to pay.

Hi all!

Us Four Foxes will be joining everyone on 11/30! This is our first four nighter. We booked this onboard last November - we love cruising the week after Thanksgiving!

In addition to me and DH, we'll have DS, who will be 12, and DD, who will be 10.

Looking forward to "chatting" over the next few months.

Yes, I am definitely in the "obsessing" part of my trip planning!

I've got a week in the parks before the cruise. I've still got to buy my park tickets, but don't want to do that until I've got plane tickets bought. And I still need to pay the 2nd half of the cruise. I'm working lots of extra hours to pay for it all, which means I'm tired a lot more and I just don't have any energy to do anything but sit at my computer. :surfweb: And obsess. :rotfl2:

This really is me right now. :surfweb: except my cup is much bigger! :)

We can't wait. We just got back for a long weekend near West Palm Beach. We all wanted to sneak to disney for just a day but we were visiting family. I think that be sooo close and not going made waiting that much more difficult. After returning home my husband said we should have went if it was just for the day.

Hello Everyone-

Longtime Lurker, first time poster!

I just signed up this morning for this cruise. I am really looking forward to seeing the ship all decked out again for the holidays. The ship and Castaway Cay look amazing at that time of the year.

I am sailing alone, so hopefully, we can get together to say hello or grab a cocktail.

Robb

Hey Robb - welcome to the DIS and this thread
You're also welcome to join Paul and I for a drink anytime on the trip.
We're pro - drink. :thumbsup2
Warning - were cruise newbies.

Oh yeah - Paul's a Jersey boy too.

Thanks for the welcome Wally!

This will be Disney Cruise #8 for me. I have been thinking about signing up for this cruise for a while, and after I heard about the extra fuel supplement that is being added starting at the end of the month, I figured I will reserve now and save a few $$$.

I am also going to go to WDW before and after the cruise. I love going to see everything all decorated.

Thank-you (& Paul too!) for the invite for a drink! I look forward to it!
Tell Paul I am from Morris County, if he knows where that part of the State is.

Robb

P.S. Doesn't look like too many are signed up yet for this cruise. I am also going on the August Repositioning Cruise, and just took a peek at that thread. I can't believe how many pages there are!

Yeah - we're small right now - but we'll make up for it in spirt :woohoo: ( or spirits

)
Paul is from Saddle Brook - located in Bergen County - I think.
Don't tell him I wasn't sure - He'll kill me.

I like these spirits :drinking1 for sure!

Saddlebrook isn't too far from me, maybe about a half hour or so.

Is anyone keeping a list of Disers that are going on the cruise? From looking at other threads, there seems to be a main list of people going, and any other plans for meets, etc.

Yeah - I know some of the other cruise thread have so much going on.
Hopeful we'll get one of the "planners" on this thread too - 'cause as I said I'm new to this cruise thing - this is actually Paul and my first cruise ever

I guess it is kinda difficult to have a lot of things planned for such a short cruise. It would be nice to have a little get together to at least say hello.

You guys are going to have a GREAT time for your first cruise! There is so much to do, and to see.
I enjoy the sea days, and Castaway Cay the most. That island is beautiful!

It looks like from the other threads that all important information is listed in the first post of the thread. AND since you started the thread........looks like your in charge!!:rotfl: Just kidding ya!

If everyone is interested, I can keep track of everyone who signs up here, unless someone else would like to do so. Or should we hold off until more people sign up or show interest?

Robb - you're the first one to raise your hand - so I say have at it dude! ;)

Ok, need some advice or help! I have been on 2 four night cruises and 2 seven night cruises but have never done the dolphin excursion on Nassau! Can anyone tell me about it? I have actually done a dolphin swim in Cancun years ago but my sister is DYING to be in the water with dolphins. She knows it isnt "swimming" per say but I just want to make sure it will be a great experience for her!

Thanks!
Gina
