11/ 30 / 2008 / Where's my peeps?

I've been reading the best tips threads and learning so much!
I just hope we can get some decent airfare to get there!

What are you looking forward to doing most???

I purchased my airfare yesterday. It wasn't the best I have ever gotten, but I was afraid it would get higher, and wanted to get my ticket before the airline started charging for the FIRST bag as well!

What I am looking forward to doing most is just taking in all the holiday festivities, and meeting new friends. Oh, and eating like a pig too!

How about you?

i want to hang out by the pool and order room sevice at about 1am. plus i now get to go to the second cruisers meeting. that should be fun i went before with my parents so they didnt care so much. last is most likely hang with my parents cuz they know what is going on and i can sneak in to other stuff too.

I'm looking forward to doing something really different. Maybe actually being able to relax on a vacation since the kids will have somewhere they can be and entertained and I don't have to cook!

You will, Scammermom! How are you making out on airfare? Not sure where you are in MD, but, last I checked, AirTran out of BWI wasn't too bad.

Yes, we're about 15 minutes from BWI. I was one of those people waiting for SW to release fares on Thursday. I actually did great with $78/person one way. Most of the prices were $148+. You'll see some of my posts on the Transportation board. I got veeeerrrry lucky! As quickly as the $78 appeared, they disappeared. Had to change my dates to get those great rates but the cruise is actually in the middle of our vacation so that's not affected. Our time afterwards in Universal is shortened. But that's ok. I changed my Hard Rock Hotel ressies and rental car to the new dates.

And I also made a ressie at the Country Inn & Suites for 2 nights prior to the cruise so we can see Kennedy Space Center too. They only charged me for a regular room and if I want to add the shuttle, it's $8/person. And if I want to hire my own transportation, the lady at customer service said I can leave the rental car in the lot while I'm on the cruise. I thought $32 for our family of 4 was steep to go the mile or so. I'll look into a private transportation company.

Got our airfare for the cruise on thursday while we were on vacation in wdw for my birthday, so that headache is out of the way!! Paid 310/pp on delta. Cruise is paid off as well, so now we just wait to go!!

Cruising 11/30/08 - 4-Night Bahamian Cruise
Hey everyone...looking forward to this crusie and would like to meet as many people ahead of time as possible. Can't wait to hit the high seas with you!

This is my very first cruise (which is surprising since I'm such a Disney fan).
It will be my sister and I on this trip. She's the experienced cruiser (lost count to how many she's taken with her hubby) - but she's a HUGE fan of it & now her and I are doing a sister vacation of it.

We too have days at WDW before & after the cruise...can't wait!
Love FL & Love WDW

Well here I am - the other sister that she mentions - should be a blast - two women on their own in the Carribean :rotfl2:

Looking forward to joining all of you!

Hi guys!
looking forward to a fun trip with you both!
:flower3:

So I've heard and seen from other posts (on other links) that "fish extenders" are somewhat of a tradition on the cruise ships...anyone planning on having one?

I'm thinking I will be - pretty nifty idea  that someone came up with! :cheer2:

Just can't wait to get on board - maybe I'll sprout some ears and fly there now! :dumbo:

I am glad I got my airfare as well. I have been checking to see if it has gone down any (ha ha I know!) and it has gone UP $45 since!
Haven't paid off the cruise though, I want to see if I can rebook in August to get On Board Credits, and 10 percent off. Although, it doesn't look like I can at the moment since the ship is filling up pretty fast!

Welcome to you both!

Your going to have a great time on your trip!

Has anyone started a list of who our fellow cruisers will be - just curious

I suggested it a few pages back, but there didn't seem to be any interest. :confused3

Looks like we have quite a few people from AZ on this cruise...
I used to live in AZ (was actually born & lived there for 25 years). Hope you all are hanging in there with that wonderful AZ dry heat! Don't melt away, looking forward to meeting you all on the cruise!

its only around 110F here so its not as bad as 120. cant wait to go on the cruise and not be hot.
