ETA: Don't forget that Daylight Savings Time ends at 2:00 AM Sunday, November 3. Online booking will still be at 8:00 AM EST. If you have clocks that don't automatically update, make sure that you take this into account!

It could be that there's a bug that causes issues with daylight savings time change, so they're just shutting it down until that passes for all US time zones. I've been through that rodeo a couple of times in my career with other products. The WORST was the "Energy Policy Act of 2005" that changed the daylight savings schedule in 2007. That was 500x more work and aggravation than the bogus "Y2K bug".

LOL - good point there. Maybe this is so they can reset and recover everything that crashes when nobody is around over the weekend.

I believe they always kick off some sort of weekly DB maintenance Monday morning (Sunday night). The site is often unavailable during that time. Perhaps they're just running an extra task or two this time. Who knows. It's all a guess anyway.

I was just on the site even though it says 8am. All seems well, but I didn’t book anything. RAT worked fine.

While I can sign in and check availability, it isn't allowing any waitlists to be set up for next year. At least for me, anyway. I'll hold until this afternoon before I contact them about it.

Edited to add: So what it's doing for me is if even one night is available [even if outside my booking window] it isn't giving me the option to waitlist. There has to be -0- availability for the waitlist option to be working. Yeeshamus.

It has always been this way. I realize that since the days are outside your booking window it is frustrating but I have had this happen when all were, and it won’t let you do it as long as something you want can be booked.

In these cases, I have had to call MS to set it up.
