11-29-09 November 29, 2009 4 nite WONDER

I'm so excited! We received our cruise documents yesterday (UPS?), and all that was in the package was a checklist, luggage tags and a little booklet. Is that the right stuff??

As this is my first time for everything (cruise and FE), could someone give me an idea of what to get for the FE?

Are they little things or ???

Help! (and TIA)

There should be a couple of pages that you need to check in. They are small and in the booklet.

FE gifts can be anything from homemade magnets, candy, pencils, small container of bubbles, highlighters, glo-in-the-dark jewelry........it's like a small party favor. We have recieved chapstick, picture frames, and visors. It's the thought that counts!!! Just have FUN!

Thanks so much!

When will we know the final head/stateroom count for the FE? And (silly question) how do you attach an FE or suitable substitute to the area outside your stateroom?

Do you try to put in an item for each person in the stateroom? Or do you make it a single goodie for everyone?

Thanks again..........

There's a fish hook - where the name FE comes from - outside your door. You hang it from this, but make sure and bring a ziptie so that it doesn't "walk away". Some bring for everybody but most bring for the room. I try and remember that kids like getting things too so I try and have something little for the young kids.

Anyone with late dining want to link up with two "wonderful ladies" for dinner? We also have Palo on Wed at 10:30 for brunch. We have requested Kerry for our server.

We've got late dining, have Palo for Sunday dinner and have been trying to get into Palo brunch!

If we can make it in- I'm sure that we'd be more than happy to link up! I don't know what our rotation is yet though.....

Back to the FE- I'll need a clue on how to attach the zip-tie. It will probably end up being a Stocking (maybe)........ have Pity!

There is a "Fish" just outside your cabin door. It's official use is for DCL to leave you messages or invitations. You will need a large size tie strap or several small tie straps in order to hang your stocking from the botton of the fish. Here is a picture from the the FAQ thread.

Well, I still haven't received my room assignment, so I will just have to give you all a cruise tip:

At lunchtime on Castaway Cay, go to Serenity Bay - They have all-you-can-eat ribeye steaks!

This will be my 1st cruise without kids so I am heading straight to Serenity Bay. I have never been there!

I can't wait! I'm going to wait until a week or so to buy the rest of the FEs for late comers (so no worries- the more the merrier!).

We also have late dining- I'm not sure if we'll try for early dining. I was sort of hoping that we wouldn't change our schedule with the time change (west coaster here) so the late dining might work out perfectly. I'd still love to grab a brunch spot at Palo- hopefully we'll get to the boat early enough for that to happen.

We'd also be up for a meet- not just to meet everyone but to figure out if room numbers have changed, etc. We have two young ones so I'm not sure how that figures into things, but we'll meet everyone wherever you guys decide!

Thanks for the tip about the steaks- my husband was thrilled!

Grace

If its not too much trouble for those of you with spare FE stuff can you add my stateroom number to the list - 6633. I have some things to bring now that will squeeze in my luggage.

Two weeks today we will be on the plane from Gatwick and looking forward to some sunshine and a swim in the pool.

Can't wait, its freezing and rainy here!

Three weeks from today I hop a plane. Some warm tropical sunshine will be much appreciated, even though it is not quite that cold here.

we have late dining as well; I have a 3 yo and we're thinking we might try the late dining, put her in the oceaneer club and then take it from there. This way, we can see the early shows and she won't be too crazy.

There are 5 of us in total - Me, DH, DD age 9, DD age 7 and DS age 2

Many thanks
xx

I will add you the "official" fe list later. Too hard from my mobil device. Glad you can join in the fun.

We had mickey bars at the magic kingdom tonight during wishes and I made the comment "so, do you think we can eat our cruise value worth of Mickey bars on the cruise?" I think Chris and the girls are ready to give it thier best shot. Who else is in?
