Hi there, Hope you are all having a good day.:goodvibes My girls had the day off today. Madison and I went to Kohls. Got a few things. Jordyn has had a friend over for most of the afternoon. Tonight Madison has dance.

Had a nice time this weekend with Johns family. The girls did a ton of swimming. It was nice to be inside because it is freeeezing here!!

Not much else to report.

Shell-Thanks for the list it looks great! John looked at it and said are we booking the Raddison too? I am going to do that this week-I hope

Kathy-I hope Pixies paw is ok

Hi everyone else:)

Hi everyone, we had a day off today also. Took Austin to the movies and to Target to spend some of his Xmas money.

Hi Woo, hows your day going:rolleyes1

Tonya, Kim WHERE are you guys at?????

Marie,

you can bring a case of water if you want, but put it in your carry on. If you put it in your checked luggage it may get broken and cause a mess. Lots of people do bring their own water.

Has anyone stayed at a hotel in Port Canaveral the night before? I tossing around the idea of just driving down the night before after some Downtown Disney time.

Any suggestions on places that wont break my purse before we get on the ship? Also tha thas free parking for ship passangers. I though it moght work out better with the cost of having to pay to park there.

Hi Marie,
hey the COOL people are staying at The Radisson friday night:goodvibes
you can leave your car there or free and sign up for their shuttle to take you to and from the port if you want.
There are several of us who already have rooms booked there and we did it last year too.
Of course some people think they are above staying there an being associated with us bananaheads and HE is booked at the Residence Inn:rolleyes1
where ever you decide book it soon they do fill up the night before a cruise a few months out.:thumbsup2

good night everyone,

Kathy

Has anyone ever taken a limo from Kissimmiee to port Canaveral. I was wanting to look into it to see what the cost would be. If we could park our car at out hotel for the week and get picked up and dropped off what a great suprise . I wouldent even tell my mom. Im sure it way more then we could afford but I would like to look into it.

Hi Marie: Ok when we went on the 11-06 cruise...we flew down friday evening just spent the night at a best western airport hotel (orlando) and had a limo come in the am to take us to port....now there were 9 of us in our party....we had rented a limo from Happy limo...and the service we received was great there and back....was upgraded both ways...we had rented a van and they picked us up in a stretched navigator...on our trip back to orlando we again had rented the van and we were picked up in their stretced hummer....so we had a very good experience with them. check into them....my friend sue and I are undeceided what form of transporation we are going to use this trip.....we are flying down friday and are going to stay at the radisson at PC...which is the "official nanahead" party hotel....I booked the room thru the internet for 99.00 for the nite.....now just need to get my transportation settled on....I'm leaning on renting a car from budget and driving to PC and dropping the car off their? Well see!!!

Welcome mickeyluv and family......glad to have you with us......we really are a nice friendly group....:rolleyes1

nothing else going on
take care all

Thanks for the welcome Dixielady! What is the Radisson running for the 1 night 11/28/08 pricewise? I'd kinda like to compare prices. Last November we stay at CI&S and really enjoyed staying there. The only thing I didn't like was that they do not have Internet connection in the rooms and this trip I'll be taking my laptop I'm sure.

Welcome mickeyluv, this trip it will be just DH Mike and myself Wendy. We have a 14 year old and he will not be going with us this year due to High School. the radisson is 99 right now on the internet rate.
So welcome to the nana family

Good mornig everyone. I just checked out the radison online and then called.
You can get a room for $99 a night. ( the pool area looks cool). I called to see what it would be for keeping the car there. They said $129. DO you think that since mom and dad wont need to keep a car I can get them the cheaper rate? Or will they want to book us togather at higher rate.

Going here the night before will cost us more money but like the comercial says we will all be to excited to sleep the night before and then thinking about driving the hour drive from Orlando does not excite me. I want to be right there.

Good Morning    ,
Well we in day 3 of VERy cold weather here in NY. High today is suppose to be 20 degrees and a snowstorm to come this afternoon dropping about 2 inches of snow. Today I am calling Pre-school to get a place for DS to go in September. That is all that is going on here today. Talk to you tomorrow..

Shell: You are brave to do wallpaper, I don't touch that kind of stuff. That is DH job!!

Kathy: The cool people stay at the Hyatt in MCO
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 !!!

Linda: How are you and How are you and Bruce feeling??

cmom: Just and idea for you we stay at the Hyatt in the Orlando airport and the Cruise Bus picks you up from the Hyatt and takes you to the ship. It is very nice we stayed there in 06. It was easier too with a 6 month old at the time.

Hi Marie,
I would just book you guys separately on line, two totally separate bookings so you will be sure to get the lower rate for mom and dad.
You may be in totally different parts of the hotel but that shouldnt matter because everyone meets around the pool area anyway. There are lots of chairs around there. That is why it is so fun to stay there, we all meet and hang around outside as long as the weather permits, if it gets too cold you can go inside the lobby and visit awhile too.
They usually have live music by the tiki bar near the pool friday evening for the guests which is a really nice touch. Almost everyone in that hotel is going on a cruise the next day.

Good morning everyone,
hope everyone is feeling well today. we are in for a warmer day today, mid 70's for 2 days then back to mid 60's on thursday which is fine with me.

catch you all later,

Kathy

Marie, here is a little secret. Even though they tell you that you have to book the higher priced rate to leave a car there, I was informed in 11-06 that was not the case. If you stay there, you can leave the car there during the cruise.

I would send an e-mail and double-check, but that is what we were told last time.

Lynn: You guys stay warm! We are headed to sub-20 temps again by Thursday, but then warming up to mid-60s on Sunday! Crazy Georgia weather!

Hi everyone, I was wondering if we were able to take a caseof water on board. I know they sellit for a nice big price. I was reading other peoples trip stories and they talk about bringing the water on. I took a bottle each on the trip last month and was so worried. I am not a risk taker at all.

I know everyone says the water is so pure and all but I did not like RCCL water. Im fine with filling from the bathroom sink but would take a case if allowed.

Marie-
If you are really particular about the taste of water then bring it on. But I would highly recommend not bothering with that and just bringing containers you can refill. You can get water at the drink station as well as pop. When you pack for the cruise you bring so much stuff anyway!
Another option is we had a gift basket delivered for the boys from Shirley (800-950-4559) at the Perfect Gift and they also will deliver cases of water to your room. It would save you having to lug one and I'm guessing will not cost as much as they sell them for on the ship.

JMHO...

Hi Marie :wave2:

I filled one of my smaller suitcases with bottled water and then I used that suitcase for souvenirs and stuff! I think it was about 4 bottles each.

Greg, I hate to tell you this, but even Barrow Alaska was warmer than you ... their low was -1! TIME TO MOVE, GREG!!!

Tiggerking. Should I just book two room online at the cheaper price then when I get there inform them I will be leaving the car or try to get the better price before hand with them already knowing Im leaving the car. Again im not a risk taker and would hate to get there and them tell me I cant leave the car with out prior notice....

How early do the shuttles get started to take us over to the ship? Im one that likes to get there and wait, not wait around the hotel.

What time does everyone meet up on Friday? I really think we will stay there to. It will torcher the boys more to see the ships and still not know we will be getting on one. :rotfl:
