Good morning, I thought I would post before the day gets too busy. Today is Madisons Christmas party at school. I will be going to that. This morning I am going to try to bake some cookies. I have a great recipe I will try to post later.

Thanks for you prayers and for our family. Johns sister has left her husband and come to stay with her mom and dad for the time being. She is from Grand Rapids, which is 2 hours from here. She has some major decisions to make in the next 2 weeks. There are 3 kids involved. Very sad situation. It has been difficult for the entire family, especially Johns mom and dad.

Kathy-How is the house selling going? Is this your house you are living in or a rental house?

Jeff - sorry about the pool. Don't know how the weather will be in Jan. but I can tell you that this Sat. it's going to 80! This has been some crazy weather for us. One day it's 35 the next 85.
I'm sure Lynn is having a great time.

Our daughter is coming with us on the cruise!! Well, so far. She booked her spot and is hoping she'll be able to keep it.

hey Pat- I didn't realize that the "beach pool" is the one with the water slide. That's the one we'd probably be at anyway...so I guess it's not that big a deal. Just want to enjoy the resort in total!

Great that your daughter is coming on the cruise. Elizabeth keeps asking...Do you think Stacey convinced her grandmother to take her on the cruise next year? She says that Stacey told her she had you 50 percent convinced when we saw you in August!

We leave for Colorado after work tomorrow night, I work tomorrow. I haven't yet packed a bag.... so I'm in the same boat. No wait... we got off the boat, that's the problem!

However... neither of my sisters are pregnant. At least as far as I know!!

Speaking of family news... when I get my Uncle's Christmas letter I'll give you all an update on my cousin Gita...

we are living in our own home but trying to sell it and another home we rent out. Someone is coming this morning to see the other house, so keep your fingers crossed!!
This is the worst possible time to try and sell a house in Florida, thousands are in forclosure and people can get them cheap and builders have cut their prices on new homes because they cant sell them. way too many homes on the market. 2 builders even offer NO mortgage payemnts for the first year if you buy from them.

But since many builders are laying people off and some are out of business now, and my husband works for one of those big builders we dont want to be stuck with 2 mortgage payments when he gets laid off. We know its coming soon, but we dont know the exact months yet, probably within the next 3 months. So we really need to sell the other house at least.
Wont go into details but renting it again is NOT an option at this point in time.

Wish us luck!! We need it to sell the house. It is a nice , newer home on 1/2 acre lot. 4 bedrooms 2 1/2 bath, Loft, dining room, familyroom, livingroom, kitchen with 2 pantry's ,laundry room, dbl car garage and it sits at the end of a cul de sac so no traffic. If times were good it would of been gone in a heart beat.

It's a good thing that you and Bob live so far apart from one another. I don't know how I'm going to deal with our cabins being so close together on the cruise.

Lorna: Sorry to hear about your sis-in-law. I know, since I just have been thru it and its not easy on the family at all....but things will work out for the best.....so best regards to your family.....I'm looking at my situation as an old chapter closing and a new one begining. Difficult and I have my moments, plus I dont have small children involved, but I know it will work out for the best. Pixie dust for all.

The housing slump hasn't hit where I live in Idaho yet. Everytime I look in my back yard another new house is going up! My wife and I built our home about 13 years ago on a 3 acre lot. At the time there were only 12 other homes within a mile of us. Now I think there are at least 100+!!

Quiet night tonight around here. Greg is working on updating his resume, Pete is at the movies and shopping with a friend who is home on leave from the Navy for Christmas, dogs are sleeping.

Hi Nana heads!!

Quick update on mom: Left the hospital on Tuesday headed for yet another skilled nursing facility for rehab-yep the 3rd one-this place was 45 minutes from the hospital....yes you guessed it...the ambulance driver got LOST!!..took them 2 1/2 hours to get to the facility Mom was in lots of pain after this...sitting in a wheelchair with her bad neck...not good...she gets to the place, they don't copy the meds right and restart her on narcotics that she was taken off of because they make her almost completley unresponsive....so, she missed the first day of therapy because she was drugged up.....SHE CAN'T WIN!!!! Saw her today, and she is doing very well...her mind is mostly clear....her eating is back......let's hope she makes it to my house for Christmas.

Quick update on dad: may need surgery-hernia is killing him...recovering from second stroke...able to eat better...talking better.....

OK...enough of the sad news....NOT ready for christmas yet......

Well, need to shower.....man I stink......Rick says 'Hi'...he is taking a dysrhymia course this week to learn to read monitors....BIG test tomorrow for him....cramming right now

Sorry I've been among the missing - just can't seem to keep up with it all. I hope you all have a very very good holiday season and a peaceful, healthy, prosperous new year.

That means Kathy's houses sell for good prices, Okie's parents get better, Lorna's and everybody whos info I've forgotten already have their crises resolved. And Lynn has a lovely baby Mojita Linda Wendy Woo. . .
