Good morning, Nana Heads!!!

My angel is still doing very very well! No accidents, fun, happy, and silly! No whimpering last night. I think we've struck the jackpot (at least for now ... I have no delusions that something is going to get chewed up eventually!)

I guess it's time for me to start working on the 2008 Cruisemate List before Kathy whips me! Please PM or e-mail the following information and a photo:

* Your Name(s)
* Names and ages of kids you're traveling with
* Anyone else you're traveling with
* Hometown
* Cabin
* Late or early seating
* Where you'll be staying the night before the cruise
* Any celebrations onboard

Also, Lorna and Denise ... you both asked about the Radisson. We are staying there next year on Friday night. I'd suggest that if you are thinking about staying there, too, you should reserve it ASAP as it does tend to fill up.

Good Mornin' Nanas

Hi Shell :flower3: Hard at work on lists again I see...you are my hero :love:

Just saw a great DVD last night-Action-Live Free or Die Hard-it is the 4th movie of the Die Hard series--really good if you like lots of action.....

Off to see my mom at the rehab--not doing well again--mostly unresponsive the last 4 days-last night she said something to my step dad about seeing "the light"..:scared1: ..he started shaking her and saying "come back to me"--she sort of woke up and started hugging him. Sorry to bring you all down...just feel like I needed some prayers and pixie dust for her and you guys are great for that....thanks for listening.

Here's the photos of Chanakaab I promised:

Please note that the beach there is not your typical beach the shoreline is rocky. It is a great area for snorkeling. But if you have little kids and want a normal beach I'd go to Paradise Beach which Jeff recommended.

Rick is at his first day of orientation at the hospital....

My van is in the shop--needs a new radiator and thermostat....who every heard of a car needing a new radiator...not me...borrowing Joshua's car-how sad is that when you have to use your kid's car....that he paid for all by himself....my fee..."fill up with gas please"....yep that's a kid for you..:rolleyes1

Wow Kathy and Mel...pictures are great....I want to go away again....soon...oh yea..will be at Disney in Feb....:woohoo:

Sorry to hear that Okie. That's got to be really tough for your step dad too.

Hi all,

Okie, prayers and pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: headed your way.
Keep us posted.

Terri,
I was disappointed in the small dcorations at the Polynesian resort.
They do have a couple small trees and wreaths here and there . They have a small table by the door to the monorail with a volcano and some Christmas like displays. The volcano was suppose to smoke but it wasnt working. there are some hidden Mickeys there to find which is fun.

Okie, you guys are definitely in our prayers!:grouphug:

Well folks, this weekend I was riding around in the convertible in 75 degree weather...Today I am in White Plains where it is 35 degrees and wet right now!:sad2: I guess this is my payback for taunting Bill & Shell this weekend!

Have a wonderful Monday!

Good Morning!

Sorry to hear your news, Okie. I hope, if it is her time, your mom has a peaceful transition. Hang tough!

We did the dolphin swim at Seaworld - it was great and worth every penny we paid for it - and all the pennies we paid for the CD and I wish we'd bought the video too.

On the last western, we took the trolly tour of Key West - it was fun and I think we covered every street on the island. Next time, I will visit Nancy Forester's garden and we might rent a golf cart.

We visited Grand Cayman right after hurricane Ivan pounded the tar out of them. It was quite an adventure is all I can say. Bruce did the swim withthe sting rays, which he LOVED - did it with Nativeway, directly. I took the city bus - jitney - out to Hell and back. No tours for me ;-) In 2008, I plan on visiting the QEII Botanic garden (which was closed last time due to hurricane damage) and the blue iguana project. I'd also like to take the jitney in the other direction to the end of the line. There are a couple shops selling native made crafts, but other than that, I didn't bother. GC is a stop where one ALWAYS tenders, and it's great because you get a fab photo op of the ship.

In Cozumel, we went across the street and got a cab - he took us to Nachicocoom Beach. It was fabulous - clean sand, beach chairs and 'beachboys' to bring you whatever you want - next time we will stay and eat in the restaurant, too. Unless we go to Chakinaab - I'd like to see the gardens there, too. All we bought in Cozumel was a bottle of vanilla and some pottery christmas ornaments. You can tell, we're big shoppers.

Thank you for posting the Christmas photos, Kathy! This is the first December since 2009 that I will not visit the world and feeling a lttle sad to miss it. The castle is especially glorious. Thank you!

Happy Day, all!

Afternoon all:

Wow you guys have sure been chatty this weekend. I wasnt around the house much this weekend, so I was unable to get onto the computer. Now I have to play catch up.

Bill & Shell: Your little duesey is sooooo cute. What a sweetie....yes you need to post more pictures. Good luck with him hope he stays as good as he is now....
Shell also thanks for the info on the Radisson.....most likely will stay there this cruise also.

The dolphin swim sounds great...I was thinking of do that also. So keep me posted on what everyone is doing.

Hope everyone else is doing good. We did have ice storm this weekend. Not to bad in the Chicago area, but home here is slippery.....poor Jack (my dog) ran out of the house this morning being the smarty pants he thinks he is..ran and peeded on my bush and when I called him him he was going to be smart and run the other way...until he hit the sidewalk....he went out on all fours....he finally was able to get up and came walking very slowly in the house with his head hanging.....it was kinda funny actully....

will be back later
Denise:banana: :banana: :banana: :banana: :banana:

Just caught up on all the posts.

Shell and Bill - congrats on your puppy...very cute.

Okie - Sorry about your Mom...I was just thinking about you last night.

Kathy - Thanks for the pictures, there were great. We wanted to look at all the decorations when we were there last week:sad2: but everything was so crowded we didn't get a chance. Maybe in '09 we will just take a trip to Disneyworld for a week.

Judy - I thought you guys were going to try to come with us:mad: we will miss you.

I have been thinking about excusions too. We have already swam with Dolphins in Hawaii so we wanted to do something different.

In Grand Cayman we are definitely swimming with the Sting Rays. In Cozumel I think we might just take a snorkleing cruise. In Key West I want to go to the furtherest point of the US and do the sunset party.

Sorry to all you having bad weather...that's why we moved to Vegas :teeth: It's finally gotten cold here(50's) but it is very sunny and we really don't need winter coats yet.

Great pictures Mel! I love Cozumel! Yes, Paradise Beach is great for kids; all sand; still very pretty and lots of things to do for all ages. DD 9 and I went out on a small kayak or canoe - very funny to watch us go around in circles - but we had a great time!

oops - I didn't mean to repost the pictures... But some extra beach pictures today are good for many of us in the northern states...

Glad your baby is doing good:)

Hi guys, Well this morning we woke up and our Christmas tree had fallen over:scared1: Luckily nothing broke. Dh finally got it up and it should not fall again. The girls did not have school today. We took them to see Enchanted. What a cute movie. Even DH liked it. We also stopped at the Disney store outlet. I got a huge bag of stuff and paid $28.00:banana: I got the girls each pirate coustmes for 10.00. They are from Pirates At World End Movie. They will be for Pirate night on the ship. Tonight I am heading to dinner with some friends:cool1: A girls night out.

Okie-So sorry to hear about your mom. We will be praying. :grouphug: pixiedust:

Mel-Thanks for the great pictures. We love it there. We have been there 3 times. Only once with kids, but they loved it. There is a small lagoon beach and they spent a lot of time there with their grandma and grandpa. There are also beautiful garden and nice nature trails. Also tons of lizzards all over the place.

Hi Mina Glad you found your way to this board.:)

Kathy-Thanks for sharing the pictures. Those are great!!

Hi to all the rest of the :banana: :grouphug:

Well I better go.
