well Bob since you insisted i will tell you what we are doing. Just remember everyone Bob asked for it. I was going to be kind and thoughtful and NOT rub it in so much.

At St. Maartin we are doing the Pinel Island Snorkeling tour. I dont swim but there is a nice little beach near by where I can relax while Greg snorkels.

At St. Thomas we are doing Blackbeards Hill historical walk.

We have done so many excursion on these two islands it was hard to find something we havnt done already or that we were interested in doing.

Glad this cruise is a Western. We need a change. Only done the Western once so plenty of choices there for us.

Bob,have fun, better you than me !!

kathy

Boy, this place has been eerily quiet lately!:scared1:

I wonder where everyone is at?:confused3

Super busy ... 2 days of meetings here ... gotta run!

Bob,
I'm still here, I know that's not saying much, but I'm here !!!

I have been busy sending PM's to everyone who has linked early dining reservation on the 07 cruise.

we discovered last night as we started to book our excursions that we had already been booked for 2 excursions along with all the people we are linked with for early dining and we hadnt done any booking yet.:confused3
I try not to be stingy but I refuse to pay for 2 excurions for 6 familes, expecially since i have already done those excursions.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So we called DCL and they couldnt explain how it happened accept it was booked a few minutes after midnight. which means one of the 2 famlies who booked those excursions did a boo boo some how, or so they say.

So I had to delete everyone because DCL couldnt do it from their end. then I had to explain to everyone what had hppened so they could check and see if their excursions were ok or not. So far I heard back from Jeff and he had the error on his site too.

So when this cruise gets closer and we link dinner reservations, be sure and keep an eye on your excursions before the cruise gets here because if it happened once it could happen again. They didnt know how, so obivously they cant fix the problem if they dont know how it happened and I dont htink they really cared.
I will be curious to see how many this happened to and if any late diners had the problem. I have told Shell about it in a PM so they can all check their ressies too, she is in charge of late diners reservations.

That is what I have been doing, now it's time for lunch.

catch everyone late,

kathy

Juat heard back from Shell and she said it is ok when it showed up that way and we wouldnt of been charged for it, as long as we dont highlight it.

Either way it is taken care of now and I have learned something new.

kathy

Hi everyone!

Just dropping by to say "Hi!" since you were way down on the page!

Bob -- maybe you can also call the hospital with your menu choices now so they aren't out of the "good stuff" when you're there!:lmao: :lmao:

Kathy, it is always great to have you around. You, Jeff and Linda are the only people who really like me!;)

Sounds like you are having TOO MUCH FUN with the reservations. I don't understand why you wouldn't agree to pay for everyone else's excursions!

Is there such a thing as "good stuff" at a hospital?

Good Afternoon All:

This is honestly the first chance I have had to take a breath (we won't count me sitting on my a** all day Saturday, because I don't have internet @ home yet). We are moved into the house, but living in two rooms. Its like having a luxury apartment with 3 bathrooms. The night before closing we found sub-flooring damage and stud damage (watch the jokes) in the spare bedroom and master bedroom. So we are currently sleeping in the dinning room. The handyman said it will be walled in on Friday and then I have to putty, sand and paint over the weekend and next week (yes I am that cheap). So maybe we will be in there by October. We are thinking were going to re-carpet that room while we are at it. So say your prayers. Other than that everything is great, we are staying busy with soccer, baseball and school. All while finding time to adopt Max (the black one) (short haired German pointer).

DSC02441.jpg

He's a great dog, fell in love with him at adoption day at PetSmart. We brought him home a week later, he's already gotten out once, but came home almost of his own accord. Pike is the other pup in the picture, he's another trip to the pound dog. He's my baby.

I just wanted to stop by and say HOWDY. I miss ya all like crazy. TTYL.

Tonya, you babies are soooo cute!!!
my newest baby is about 3 inches taller than Minnie now and I'm sure is around 60 pounds. She is starting to fill out now so she will soon be 80 pounds:goodvibes Boy can she put away the food.

Hope they finish up the work very soon for you.

Kathy

Well take care all

Denise,
thanks for the pictures. It looks great.
I wanted somewhere Greg could snorkel while i relaxed on the beach, since I dont swim. But most snorkeling excursions you jump off the boat.
This one seemed to work for what I wanted for both of us.
do they rent the chairs or did they come with the excursion?
did you snorkel there and did you see much?

My DD did it once and liked it. But she didnt sit on the beach, they spent the entire time in the water. She thought there was a small area to get a snack and a couple of small booths with a few souvenirs too. Does that sound right to you?? she wasnt sure.

Well it's over the hump day everyone. I think I will make a small pot of stew and bisciuts for dinner, just to be different. It has been too hot to cook but I think it is time for a change.

My youngest son is in Vegas at his first convention. He called last night and said a man on the street was handing out ads for where to find the local Hookers, so not to worry if I didnt hear from him for awhile, he will keep himself busy seeing the sights!!!:rotfl2:
He is now a manager of a game stop store which sells video games and equipment. Microsoft gave everyone over $400 worth of games, headphones, controllers , shirts, etc.... Other vendors are giving tons of gifts too. he had 5 full bags from one morning. Last night was the big vendors show and they gave everyone boxes, pre paid for UPS to mail home stuff because they would have way too much to take on the airplane He was very excited about this.
Originally he didnt want to go to a boring old convention, now he cant wait for next years convention!!!
He is staying at the Luxor and his convention is at the Mandalay Inn. He has to walk between the two. I guess it is enclosed but about a mile between the two and he has to walk it a few times a day. He also said when he looked out the temps have been from 110 to 115 everyday. YIKES!!! florida seems better to me now.

well time to go,
have a great day everyone,

kathy

What GREAT photos, Denise!

TiggerKing, you are one of the fairy "godmothers" so you're A#1 in my book!

Kathy, your son is so fortunate! Those are great hotels but he is right they are so big there's moving floors to help you get around. Amazing shopping, right in the hotels and Mandalay bay has an aquarium. Sure nice they picked up the shipping to send stuff home. I'm in the wrong business!

Tonya, too bad about the problems in the house - and especially that they weren't discovered in time to reduce the price!!!! You'll be settled in before Christmas, though, so that's a good thing.

Crazy busy trying to catch up at work, support B. through his doctors appointments and apparently endless round of tests, write a trip report and prepare for a dinner party my neighbor wants to have at OUR house!

Happy Day, all!

Happy Tuesday Everybody!

Well, I am worn slap out (a southern thang) today. The two football games I refereed last night lasted until 10:00. And, on the last one, I was checking my rear view mirror to be sure no one was following me home to jump me!;)

Denise: Great pictures!

Tonya: Good luck on everything with the house. It is nice to know that there is someone out there as cheap as I am when it comes to work like that!

Linda: Thanks! I just want you to know that you are the only person allowed to call me a "fairy godmother"!:rotfl2:

Bob, I hate to bring this up but it's NOT Tuesday today.:rotfl2:

I am not going back to yesterday, it was NOT my best day this week.

Hi Linda, good to hear from you again.
Tonya, good to hear from you too.

Now if Lynn would just get her internet hooked up afte rher move so we could hear from her we would all be present and accounted for again.:cool1:

kathy

Hi all: Just a quickie....at work and only a few minutes left of my lunch break.
Kathy...we didnt do any excersions...we went on our own. My neice wanted to snorkle and had been there before..so we took a cab/van which took us to a dock then we had to take a boat over there...it took probably close to an hour worth of traveling time. But yes, they had a place to eat...they actually had fresh lobster which we didnt eat...well my niece and her husband did...they were like 75.00 for one...they had a little "bar" area and seating...we had to rent the chairs I cant remember how much, I think it was like 5 or 10 dollars for Wally and I....but the bad part was, we paid the guy up front...when we were leaving he tried to tell us we didnt pay and wanted us to pay again....so we had a nice "discussion" with him. But all in all it was a great spot and we really enjoyed it.

Denise

Hi everyone, It is quiet around here today. John and I went to pick up the girls pictures this morning, they turned out cute!:cutie: This afternoon I am going to spend organizing some things. We put cabinets in our laundry room a while back and just threw things in there. Now I need to organize. It is a mess:eek:

Fall is in the air. It is been chilly the last couple of days. Kathy your stew sounds good. It is stew/soup weather in Michigan. I think I will make some next week.

Tonya-sorry to hear about the problems on your house. Good luck with all of work you are doing. Cute dogs by the way.

Bob-I hope you get some rest!!

Linda-Have fun at your niegbors dinner party at your house:confused3 I hope Bruce is ok-endless tests??? Looking forward to reading your trip report.

Denise-liked the pictures. Sure makes me want to cruise right now. So glad your daughter is coming home soon.:) By the way :bday: sorry I am a little late.

Gotta run. Have a good day.

Lorna:banana:

Hi all -
Tonya - what cute dogs! I'm a sucker for shelter animals. I'm not allowed to go to petsmart without a chaperone anymore!
Sorry to hear about your house problems. Did you know all this before you signed on the final line? I hate when you discover problems after the fact.
I'm hoping Lynn has better luck!

Bob - I have a question for you...(I think it was you who said you rented a cabin in the mountains) We are heading to Gatlinburg in October and Stephen looked up cabin rentals. I was wondering if you could pass on any information you may have on the rentals and locations. We usually stay in hotels but Stephen and Esther want to come along with us and it can get very costly. We thought a cabin would be the best route to take. Any suggestions on cabins would help us out a great deal. THanks.

Kathy - Is that Peter who is in Vagas? He isn't working for Disney anymore?

That tells you how tired I was when I typed it this morning!

Pat, I will make the same recommendation that I made to Wendy and Mike. The name of the company is Mountain Laurel Chalets. Here is a link to their web site: Mountain Laurel Chalets

One of the main reasons I prefer them over other cabin rental groups is that the price you see listed is the price you pay. Lisa and I went in July, and because it was so busy, I checked out multiple companies. I would find that a cabin that cost, say, $150 per night, also required a $50 cleaning fee, and a 5% booking fee. Kind of hacked me off, if you know what I mean. But, the MLC prices are per night, plus taxes. That's it. They also have absolutely one of the best search engines of any of the companies I have used. All of their cabins are located on Ski Mountain, so you have serenity, but are only a 5 minute drive from downtown Gatlinburg or one of the trolley stops. If you will tell me how big of a cabin you are needing, I may be able to make some recommendations.:thumbsup2
