Hey Lisarae - We booked a ride with one of the services (Tiffany Towncar) that will mean a van ride for us from the Beach Club. However, I'd so much rather do a limo but we have so much luggage that no limo company will promise that they can do it. If your friends company could do that and is decently priced, I'd make a change in a minute. We will have five larger pieces (big dufflebags and a hanging bag) and 3-4 small carry ons.

Holy Sh*t Jeff...what do you smuggle people in luggage :lmao:

OK I take it back because we take one large suitcase for shoes and toiletries, one large one each, a suitor, 2 carry ons.

Yeah, can you get us a price for a limo for 4...Thanks

Hey another surprise TOP!!! GO ME!!! and I just finished paged 194 OK now onto 195

OK That is how we felt in February 2007...We booked a cruise on the Wonder with a WDW stay. We decided to leave the day before just in case of inclement weather...Well the inclement weather was the day we were suppose to leave AND...because it was Winter break there was not ONE flight for them to get us on. That was any flight on any carrier at any of the FOUR NY airports. I even at that point said...Can you get us to any location warm and the answer was no, every flight was booked...Yep, and American Airlines never notified us that our flight was canceled to begin with, I just said to my DH, let me call just to be sure because of all this ice. Needless to say I will never fly AA again.
This cruise doesn't matter because you will be able to hop the next flight if something goes awry with the flight you are booked on, but when it is a school break..Pick it and take your chances. If we would have scheduled a flight on the day of, we would have been fine.

I don't care for AA either

Lisarae, thanks for the offer, we always rent our own car and drive down. Momma always has WAY too much luggage. I just hope we can fit it into what we rented.

Morning Ya'll.

Ya, I have the same problem. I know not everything is going to fit into the trunk.

Wow, it seems like everyone is on this morning...cruise must be getting close:goodvibes

Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen,

Today we will be discussing cruising on DCL and how much you can drink in one day at the pool area. I think if you do it right you should be able to get in at least a 12 pack in eh!!!!

Does anyone have any opinions they wish to share on this subject?:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm going on vacation to make memories.....not take them away! :rotfl2:

Do you mean participating in it? Yes. Did I send you the spreadsheet?

No, but I made one. On the cruisemate list, there's not a fish by your information, maybe I am mistaken...But, I thought you were participating b/c you had made a spreadsheet.

Tonya - are you guys renting from Budget and returning at the Port? We are and have never done it before. Do you get dropped off and let Trey return the car or do you guys all go and return the car together? I am thinking of having Joey drop me off and then return the car, this way I can check us both in and get a good boarding number.

Well if you get the van too for hauling the luggage and just put people in the limo they might could hey it would split cost as well.

Good thought honey!!!!

We'd love to do that if Lisarae's friend can do it.

With the van for our luggage we would all fit just fine (there are four of us)

ANd yes we love Disney properties. We have stayed offsite at the Marriott grande Lakes (much farther than 1 mile from property) but that's because we like that hotel and it was a "let's not spend a fortune on this trip" time and we didn't want to use points either.

So...all together we would need room for 7 people, including one in a car seat. We'd have 9 big pieces of luggage and about 7 carry-ons?

From DCL site:

Arrival: Final boarding is at 4:00pm. No one is allowed to board after that time. The port is approximately an hour drive from the Orlando airport. You’ll also need to factor in the time it will take to get to your transportation. Morning flight arrivals are recommended.

If your flight is delayed and you arrive between 3:00 and 3:45pm, the Disney Cruise Line team located at the airport will be able to check you in for your cruise, however you must still get yourself to the ship prior to 5:00pm.

Shell, I know this is what the rule is however we have waited until 6 p.m. a few times and they said it was due to a delayed flight and it was booked through DCL. So they do wait for a bit.
They can make up an hour during the night easily.
Also they can fly you to the first port of call if you request it. But only if you booked it through DCL.

Kathy

Christine we always go and fill the car up and then dump it at Budget. The guys that run the shuttle usually just back their van up to the trunk and load all of our stuff right in. Since Disney is the first terminal at the Port we have always been let out first at the terminal. I don't think I would be able to stand there outside the terminal waiting for Trey to take the car back and then hitch a ride back. We like to get all giddy together on the ride over. I know silliness, but its all ours.

Morning BFF-OH
Morning BFF-NV
Morning  love to everyone that I forgot

It's the Marriott Grande Vista Resort.
