Cheri: Let us know how you enjoyed it!

Good Morning Everyone!

Hope everyone had a great Friday night. Lisa and I had a good time with her mom last night. Of course, since I woke up at 3:00 a.m. yesterday, I fell asleep on the couch while they were looking through the 700+ pictures from Russia.:cloud9:

Speaking of Russia, I hope to go through the pictures this weekend and start uploading some of the better shots.:thumbsup2

Have a great Saturday. Gotta cook pancakes for my lovely wife, and then it is off to the football field!

Hi All....Just wondering if theres a detailed list of the people participating in the FE ....If so could someone please pm me with it, so I can attempt to get my stuff in order...Thanks so much Hope everyone is well Jen

Good Morning!

My little girl hasn't gotten out of bed yet! She's spread crosswise on the bed! :rotfl: I went in there and she's in no hurry to get up this morning!

Beautiful autumn morning but cold. We are going to freeze this morning at soccer! Last game for the season.

Have a great Saturday! :wave2:

From today's Akron Beacon Journal:

Where Were You in '83? This November marks the 25th anniversary of the theatrical premiere of A Christmas Story, the now-classic holiday film starring Darren McGavin and Peter Billingsley.

Cleveland's Christmas Story House, home of the Parker family in the movie, and neighboring museum will mark the occasion, but more about that later. For now, I'm interested in your memories of the movie — if you were among those who saw it in a theater in 1983.

While legend has it that A Christmas Story was a bomb on first release, it did take in about $19.3 million, according to Box Office Mojo. That was far behind blockbusters like Return of the Jedi, Terms of Endearment, Flashdance and Trading Places, but it was better than a lot of other movies.

So some of you must have gone to see it, either because the movie sounded interesting or because you wanted to check out the scenes shot in Cleveland. And I'd like to know your memories. Where did you see it? Was the theater crowded? Did you like it on first viewing?

Send me an e-mail (rheldenfels@thebeaconjournal.com) or a letter (Akron Beacon Journal, 44 E. Exchange St., Akron, OH 44309). I'd like to share your thoughts with other readers when we get closer to the anniversary.

I like when my boy, opens his eyes, looks at me moving around then just says to himself, you can get up but I'm just gonna lay here and be comfy...Go make me some money for treats and food. :rotfl:

Hmmm, sounds just like my DH. Oh, you meant your dog! ;)

Good morning Nanas!! It's finally chilly here so I can start looking forward to traveling South.

Today's chore is going through DD's clothes to see what I can still squeeze her in for the cruise. I may be looking for some online summer clearance sales later today.

Happy Saturday!!
