Hey Kathy are you still having problems with the boards? Same thing happened to me last night as I log off a bunch of windows pop up but it only happens at night, I wonder what's up with that????

Christine, it is a tracking cookie virus, so be sure and use your security to get it off your computer or it will slow your computer down and can do damage after awhile, although it is considered a low risk, it can still do damage.


Terri has had the problem too.
I have written the tech people here but no response yet.
That is why I am not posting too much. I dont want to keep getting it.
I have got it during the day too, although the first few times were at night.

I really want to know how to get rid of it for good, but no help with it yet.

Christine, it is a tracking cookie virus, so be sure and use your security to get it off your computer or it will slow your computer down and can do damage after awhile, although it is considered a low risk, it can still do damage.

When you go to get off the internet a bunch of tabs on internet explorer keep open. It zaps the life out of your computer and you have to wait till they stop opening before you can get out. It is very frustrating.

Thanks Kathy, as soon as it happened yesterday I ran a scan and it did pick it up.

We are having a DIS meet and we also are ordering T shirts to wear the first day, so we can introduce ourselves. I personally have never sailed with this group before, so you and I and now Greg if he isn't kidding plus a ton of others are all newbies. I know it can be intimidating, especially if you think everyone is friends already, but that isn't the case.

Just join in ask questions and you'll fit right in.

we have picutres of most of us on there and you will be added to it and all of us including you will have a copy of it sent to us by Shell (woogal)


On this list it will tell you about our meet the first day and other fun things we have going this cruise. Please read all of it to help you to know us.

But as Jaonne said, please jump right in, dont feel lost, just tellus about you or ask questions about the crusie, tell us what excursions you may be taking or ask questions about excursions.

That stupid virus is why I havnt been posting as much.
Like Christine said all of a sudden it will layer hundreds of pages on your screen. It is so fast there is NO way you can eliminate them on your own.

You have to do a virus scan to get rid of them.
I have Norton and Spybot and even with them both it got through to me and it took about 15 minutes for them to destroy it on my computer.

It was identified as a tracking cookie coming from the dis boards.
