If you had purchased $1000.00 of Nortel stock one year ago, it would
now be worth $49.00.

With Enron, you would have had $16.50 left of the original $1000.00.

With WorldCom, you would have had less than $5.00 left.

If you had purchased $1000 of Delta Air Lines stock you would have
$49.00 left

If you had purchased United Airlines you would have nothing left.

But, if you had purchased $1,000.00 worth of beer one year ago, drank
all the beer, then turned in the cans for the aluminum recycling
REFUND, You would have had $214.00.

Based on the above, the best current investment advice is to drink
heavily and recycle.

It's called the 401-Keg Plan

I studied the Cruisemate list today, Trying to get to know everyone, it's a lot of folks.

What does everyone do for work? I work at a chemical plant, I'm an Environmental Specialist and DH has two insurance agencies.

I own my own Public Relations/Communications consultancy (after a quarter century in the evil corporate world doing corporate communications). Mina (my wife) works at an academic medical center as a project manager (she formerly was the director of managed care until going part time just before DD number two came along).

Good evening everyone! Hope everyone had a great Wednesday. It's so cool to hear from Bob as he leaves Korea for Russia. Can't wait to see the pics.

So we still haven't booked hotel for our Thanksgiving day pre-cruise trip but today I attempted to book dinner for Thanksgiving Day. I was on the line with Disney Dining for about 20 minutes...checking possibilities and the rep kept saying..."there's availability at XXXX (fill in restaurant here) at 7:05 p.m." and then she'd go to book it and say...Oh...the earliest I have is 9:15 p.m. That happened about five times. Then my phone died and I had to start all over.

On second try, the rep said they had availability at Artist Point at 5:50 p.m and I said BOOK IT. So he did and that is where we are having our Thanksgiving meal. I'm thinking the Cedar Plank Salmon. I really cannot believe how filled the restaurants were already. We checked about 11 different places and none of them had availability before 9 p.m. I didn't think we were THAT late but then again I've never gone during T'giving b4.

Still haven't decided on hotel but are now leaning to BW or BC.

Jeff, let me know if you get into BW or BC. I tried for months to get in, but never found those days open.

I was able to book it directly through Disney, but the cheapest for both BC & BW was over $400 per night!

Yesterday a flex change through II came up for a 2br @ Horizon's by Marriott next to Seaworld, so I took it!! A 3br at Grand Vista came up on flex also, but my wife made me take Horizon's because its got the pirate ship water park for the kids! :rolleyes1

I am an Executive Assistant for the Southern Nevada Water Authority and we own an Italian Cafe that my DH works in 14 hours a day:faint:

Ok, I just got back from lunch...

I must tell you about my lunh "experience". I went to Walmart, that was my first mistake. But, I needed some Disney CARS bedding for DS new bed. We got him a Disney CARS bed. So, while I was there, I loaded up on groceries to take by the house to save me a trip later. I spent about 30 minutes gathering all the stuff and headed to the check-out.

I was the 8th person in the ONLY check out line that was open. Well, after waiting 20 minutes for turn, right when I was going to starting putting my stuff on the conveyor, the cashier tell me that she's closing. There were about 10 people after me. This is a SUPER Walmart and it lunch time, so the store was packed with folks picking up stuff.

I asked the cashier, so are all the people amd me suppose to go put our stuff back if there's no cashier in the entire store OPEN, she told me to use the self check-out. Well folks, i was a little ticked off, so I told her to just put my stuff back up.:confused3 :confused3

Oh and did I mention that I had to drive about 15 miles to get to this place, so 30 miles later...I have no CARS bedding and I still need to go grocery shopping after work.

I NEED A CRUISE!!!!!

I would have done the same thing except I would be yelling and cursing the whole way out

Hi BFF-NV:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

Steph, I am a respiratory therapist or as I like to tell my BFF's I save lives for a living(at least when the sick nagging patients leave me alone long enough so I can check the DIS and text my BFF's) and my DH is a mechanic.

Cheri, how did dinner turn out?:rolleyes1

And to my bestest BFF, thanks for talking me off the ledge...love ya!!

Imagine if it was Kim at the store and she was trying to check out her tequila!!:scared1: I'm just sayin'

Steph, I am tonya (DW) and my DH is Trey. We will be cruising with my DS Hunter. Hunter will be 12 when we depart. My Husband is a fleet manager for a trucking company. I work as a Legal Assistant to two attorneys. During the evening hours we referee soccer and I am the Outdoor assignor for our local soccer park. (I get to tell the referees where to go). :thumbsup2 The soccer allows us to go on trips. Plus, we have great stories about crazy parents.

All is good here. After this weekend we have 3 weeks left of soccer. Yahoo. It couldn't get over too soon.

Good night all, looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Steph,

I am Lisa and I work for NASA at Kennedy Space Center as a quality engineer on the International Space Station program. DH Steve is a computer networks design engineer/projects engineer with Abacus out at Kennedy Space Center. We are very blessed to live so close to Disney and Port Canaveral. I wish we had a couple more cruise lines going out of the Port here, like for instance Princess and Norwegian, as they are probably the next best to Disney (I think that of Norwegian anyway because I've been on that line; I've only heard about Princess.) The only other two lines here are Carnival and RCCL, neither of which impressed us customer service-wise. It's really hard to beat Disney in that department!

We are very much looking forward to meeting you and all the rest of the folks.
