HI all. Had a dermatology appt this am for a little place on my left arm that's been there for a year +. Dr. said it was a benign dermatofibroma (benign) being the key word here. Anyway, wasn't expected anything to be done today but he said, "we can take it off today if you'd like" which = :scared1: !! I'm a big 42 year old baby to be honest with you but it was really nothing now that it's over. It injected two syringes of phenylephrine into it and then did an 8mm punch biopsy, stitched it up and dressed it with gauze and bandages. The needle part was the only thing that bothered me really (I don't like needles!!) So, I can't lift anything, stretch or pull anything with that arm, or get it wet until I go back in 2 weeks to get the stitches out. Have a terrible headache right now but gotta get some work done first and then maybe go lie down for a bit. Jeff, I'm sure nothing compared to what you had...hope things are still going well for you. Hope you all have a wonderful day and night for Elizabeth's B-day. (try to show her all the birthday wishes here).

Wendy...hope things went well with your mother!!!

Be back later to check in with you guys!!

OUCH. Hey pain is pain. And i was completely asleep when they were cutting me so don't minimize your pain. I highly recommend vicodin for the pain. Get your doc to get you some. :rotfl:

if you notify them ahead of time they will have soy milk for your son.
They dont carry it as a rule but they will get it fi they know someone needs it on a cruise. Calll DCL and make sure that is added to your reservation information.
Best to fill out a medical form too and send it in, just extra protection that they will remember to get it.
I know people who have done this.

I'm sure you could get crackers from the dining room.
They do sell mickey cookies that are like animal cookies and all kinds of chips in the stores. The chips are in a store by the clubs where they sell alcohol too. They have lots of snacks there too.

But around the pool areas you can get small bags of chips for free, fries, fresh fruit, pasta and wraps. Other foods too.

Not sure what he can or cant eat but if he eats any fresh fruits you can get lots of that and take back to your room from Goofys galley. they have watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, strawberries, bananas, apples and more.

In the dining room they will puree any food on the menu that you might normally feed him too.
No microwaves for heating stuff. Just hot water.

Kathy

Thanks for the info! I guess I will call DCL and explain the situation, it's not that he is allergic to real milk though, it just makes his stomach hurt and he's only had soy since he was about six months old. I don't know if they consider that a medical need or not. But, the doctor would probably fill out the sheet for me, so he could get the silk.

This gives me a good idea of what to purchase!! This sounds like fun!! I can't wait to shop for all of my things. I need to purchase a fish extender too. I will go to ebay tonight.

How many folks are participating? Do you give all members of each family something?

Does this group cruise together every year? At the same time, on the same cruise ship? Is this the only time you go?

Look at your cruise mates list and all the names that have a fish on thir site are participating. about 30 so far i think?
Make sure there is a fish by your name, if its not there PM shell (woogal) and tell her and she will add a fish by your name so people will have a gift for you too. Make sure your room number is listed withy our information so we know where to find you too.

Heres one Elmer can appreciate:lmao:

An old man walked out onto a frozen lake on a bitter cold winter day. He drilled a hole in the ice, sat on his bucket, put his fishing line in the water and eagerly waited for a fish to bite.

He was there for almost five hours without even a nibble when a young boy walked out, drilled a hole in the ice and sat on his bucket not far from the old man. It only took about one minute and BAM! A huge walleye bit his hook and the boy pulled in the fish.

The old man couldn't believe it and figured it was just luck. Yet, the boy put his fish line in again and within just two minutes he pulled in another huge walleye!

This went on and on until finally the old man couldn't stand it any more. He hadn't caught a fish all day. He went to the boy and said, "Boy, I've been here nearly all day without even a nibble. You have been here only a few minutes and have caught TEN huge fish! How do you do it?"

The boy said, "Oo af o rep ra rums rm."

"What," asked the old man?

Again the boy said, "Oo af o rep ra rums rm.”

Freezing and impatient the old man yelled "Look, I can't understand a word you are saying."

So, the boy took off his gloves, spit a clump of stuff into his hands and said, "You have to keep the worms warm!!"

A substitute teacher was trying to make use of her psychology background. She began her class by saying, "Everyone who thinks you're stupid, please stand up."

Right away, Little Johnny stood up.

The teacher said, "Why do you think you're stupid, Little Johnny?"

"I don’t, ma'am, but I hate to see you standing there all by yourself!"

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

The Anderson family just moved into their new home when a neighbor asked 5-year-old Tommy Anderson how he liked it.

“It’s great,” Tommy said. “I have my very own room and my brother Alex has his own room, and Jamie has her own room too! But poor mom, she is still with dad…”

At the end of the school year a kindergarten teacher was receiving gifts from her class. The florist's son handed her a gift. She shook it and said, "I bet I know what it is; Flowers."

"That's right!" the boy said, "but, how did you know?"

"Oh, just a wild guess," the teacher replied.

The next student was the candy shop owner's daughter. The teacher held her gift, shook it and said, "I bet I can guess what it is; A box of sweets."

"That's right said the little girl, but how did you know?"

"Oh, I've been around for many years," said the teacher proudly.

The next gift was from the son of the liquor store owner. The teacher held he package, but it was leaking so she grabbed a drop off the leaking contents with her finger and put it on her tongue for a taste test.

"Is it wine?" the teacher asked.

"NOPE," the boy replied, with some excitement.

The teacher repeated the process, tasting a larger drop of the leaking package. "Is it champagne?" she asked.

"NO MAM," he replied, with even more excitement!

The teacher with all her knowledge finally took one more big taste before admitting, "I give up. What is it?"

With an giant grin the boy replied, “SURPRISE, It's a puppy!"

hehe....good jokes as usual, mom. I'm havin a little trouble here. I'm having bad experiences with PTSD.... its all brought on from the past. Its a maddening thing to deal with.....pity me.

A firefighter is working outside the station when he notices a little girl in a little red wagon with small ladders on the sides, a garden hose coiled in the middle, and wearing a firefighter's helmet. The wagon is being pulled by her dog and her cat.

The firefighter takes a closer look. "That sure is a nice fire-truck," the fire fighter says with high regard.

Thanks," says girl says!

The firefighter notices the girl has tied the wagon to her dog's collar and to the cat's tail.

"Little lady," the firefighter says, "I don't want to tell you how to run your rig, but if you were to tie that rope around the cat's collar, I think you could go faster."

The little girl replies thoughtfully, "You're probably right, but...then I wouldn't have a siren!

Most folks know PTSD as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.... in my case its Pre Traumatic Sailing Disorder. I had THE DREAM last night. No, not the one where Bob is dressed like Carmen Maranda...the other one. The one where you dream you've already been on the cruise, its over and you can't remember anything that happened. I know its gonna happen again.... I just know it. Hold me close......
