Terri, a second clue for you; Elmer is a man, and since you were not on the 06 nana head cruise, Elmer wore flowers on clothing occasionally.

Hello all. Sorry I haven’t written lately. I have been busy with the rains from Tropical Storm Fay and 2 upcoming storms which are going to hit us this week and maybe next week. It makes launching shuttles very difficult!
My DH and I may be able to meet everyone at the Radisson (since we live 15 minutes away). As most of you know, Kelsey’s has great pizza and is located right next to the Radisson. I am trying to find some Kelsey’s Pizza coupons for everyone to use. I can bring some fantastic garlic wings from a place near my house.
I will keep everyone posted if we can join you all at the Radisson.

Just got off the phone with both Wendy and Mike.

Wendy's doing well in New Orleans, but the next few hours will be the telling hours as the winds coming out of the gulf can drive the water up thru the levees. One levee has breeched, another is topping downriver, but they are doing what they can to shore them up. N.O. is not out of the woods yet ... Wendy said this is exactly what happened during Katrina: they thought it was over then all the levees failed with the surge afterwards. So keep the pixie dust coming ...

Mike was taking a nap (!) in his hotel in Baton Rouge ("there's nothing else to do ..." ). They got hit pretty bad, lost power around 1 or 2, but he and Austin are making the best of it playing PS2 when they can!

I've been kind of keeping this mostly to myself (though a couple on here know as well) but I'm heading to surgery in the morning - something that hopefully will only keep me in the hospital overnight and all signs are that there should not be any problems, but I guess I could use as much pixie dust and prayer as I can get. So if you can send a little my way, I'd really appreciate it.

we are trying to figure out who Elmer, Verna and The Inspector really are.It is someone or someones(ha ha) on this cruise.

Once you deicde on who it is. PM me with your votes for each of them and at the meet i will announce who got the most votes. Then we will ask the real Elmer, Verna and Inspector to stand up and identify themselves. All votes will be kept secret.

Hi nanas checking in from one of our docs I phone, all is oK down here we are still without power, cable, phones etc and it looks like we will be here to thursday jight or friday morning before we can go home. the mayor is not letting anyone into the city until wednesday night and our relief staff lives in houma thibadeaux area which was hit very hard and wiped out quite alot of homes. We haven't heard from any of them yet but we are hoping all is well. I am over sleeping on the floor on an air mattress and have 1/2 a bottle of grey goose left, ohhhh the sad conditions , now a friend just told me the governor just issued a 24 hour lockdown on the city and we can't leave where you are and be on the streets, we had some peoples husbands going to check on our home s but I guess not now... thanks for all the love and wishes Woo was able to talk with me and she did relay the messages.. back to worknow talk with ya'll later

Good morning everyone! For those who don't know - I am jd99's wife.

Wendy - so good to hear from you and glad that you are ok. Sounds like a long couple of days for you - but at least everyone is safe and the worst is over. We were thinking of you lots all weekend and watching a lot of the weather channel. Take care and you will continue to be in our thoughts.

Thanks to everyone for your good thoughts and pixie dust since he posted about his surgery yesterday; and to those who knew earlier - thanks for all of your support. It has meant so much to us!

Will post an update later. I am in the family waiting area and they have computers for us - so I will be checking in today when I can to pass the time and to hear your updates.
