Don't worry Woo, I'll get you a really nice present from my journey. Plus Mike says I don't need to bring him anything, I guess 3 weeks without me is gift enough.:confused3

Hey Denise!:wave2:

Hope you and Sue have fun today. We have been too busy to even think about planning for the cruise!:sad2:

6 1/2 hours for a child that young?!?:scared1: OMG! I would have been ready to kill someone! Hope you all got some rest last night!

Well, good morning everyone. Starting out as a beautiful day here on the east coast! In the low 50s this morning, so we slept with the windows open last night. Lisa and I went out and bought some tomato and pepper plants last night, so that will be my task for this morning, and then off to the football fields.

Have a great day everyone!:cool1:

Good Morning Nana Heads

Well after a nail-biting few days, we found out this morning that Duesey ... just like his brother Guido before him ... has COLLITUS! We've been struggling all week with accidents in the house (which we've never experienced with him before), odd behaviour, unwillingness to poop outside, etc etc. Thankfully it's something that's completely fixable! WHEW! There's one burden lifted ...

For 07ers, I've been e-mailing MaryEllen and things are going OK there. The economy is hitting them, just like all of us, but things seem to be ok. Speaking of cakes, here's a couple that she had done recently for a couple of birthday parties earlier this year. The first one was Parker's birthday cake with a carnival theme:

Maryellen had asked me back in February for ideas for a Willie Wonka themed party cake. She knew they were going to do Willie Wonka's hat on top, but needed more. I suggested that she incorporate the chocolate river and the all-edible room. I can't believe how well this came out!

This one was my 2007 birthday cake that da Mutt made for me. I'm a Muppet/Sesame Street geek, go it was just a little beyond perfect:

And a couple more that da Mutt made:

This one was just for fun to try a few things. The birds are rice crispie treats

This one was for a fund raiser at Gilmour Academy and was auctioned off. The wine bottle and lemons were rice crispie treats

This was for my nephew, who is a huge LOST fan

:lmao: Well the problem is there are about 100 girls - probably 40 different dance numbers. The recital itself lasts about 4 hours...It was exhausting and everyone slept in until after 8 probably for the first time ever. It really is fun but last night was excruciatingly long. I probably should have left after Lizzie did her solo practice but I was trying to video pieces of all of Lizzie and Emily's numbers. And the camera's battery ran out. IT had been fully charged but I guess there is something wrong with the battery. I was ticked. At least we can buy the "official DVD" of the show.

Morning Nana's!!

Jeff, we had the same experience at DD Nicole's dance performance last week!....I'm glad thats over!

Shell, glad to see your posting again!! The cakes look awesome! Sorry to hear about Duesey's collitus, glad its fixable!

Bob, tomatos and peppers.....sounds like what I'll be doing today. We got the carrots, peas, and potatoes in last night. Today is tomatoes and peppers!

Hope everyone has great day!

Hi everyone! Beautiful day in Michigan. Shorts and sleeveless shirt weather--at least, in the sun. I finally finished grooming the front yard! Phew!

I'll check back in later!

Jeff, I remember those recitals. What I remember most is the length.

Afternoon Nana's!!

I just can't tell ya how beautiful today is here in Idaho! We finally got some shorts and t-shirt weather. The last I looked at the thermometer it was 85 degrees!!

I'm getting ready to turn our air conditioner on for the first time this year!!

Hard to believe we were getting snowed on just a few days ago! :confused3

I got the lawn mowed and we're now flood irrigating.....got water about 8 inches deep across most of the lawn! (The kids are having a ball!) :woohoo:

I'll check back later.......Hi Dawn!! :wave2:

ohhh I love request, but please don't tease Bubba about that phone call, I breathlessly await;)

:wave2: Hi Greg! Flood irrigate? What's that do?

I've found every muscle in my body! :upsidedow

If I can crawl out of my chair, I'll check back later to see if anyone else has checked in!

Hi Dawn!

Its just a nice, cheap way of watering my lawn, garden and trees......it deep soaks the roots so I won't have to water again for another 2 weeks! :woohoo:

I don't need to run my pump or sprinkler system as the water comes from the ditch that goes through my property. I just open the water gates on the ditch and it pours out onto my lawn. My entire yard is under water in about 3 hours!

I have about 2.5 acres of lawn and about 40 trees so its the cheapest way to irrigate.

Glad to hear MaryEllen is Ok...this economy really stinks for everyone:sad2:

Well, we have finally had our first 100 degree day...looks like these temps will be around until at least September. But hey it's usually in the 100's in April so we have been lucky so far this year. This is our equivalent to s**n. Just got back for vacation shopping...it there anything better?

Only plans left for this weekend is to go to the pool tomorrow and try on my bathing suits:scared: for vacation.

Oh btw Shell...I have officially stopped shaving again...will send you pictures in a month:lmao:

I've never tried to post a video before, but here goes. Lizzie's dance solo.
