Anyone have that link to the tipping site so I can be pre-prepared with all my tip envelopes before we sail?

Hey Jeff Someone told me too that if you tip your staff with 2 dollar bills the first night they really like it I thought I might try that this time:thumbsup2

Well I personally didn't think I would like Disney but I absolutley loved it. I am sure I will feel the same way about DCL. It is just something about when you come under the train track in magic kingdom and your eyes gaize on mainstreet,it is really like another world. I love kids and loving playing with them. I am definitley a Kid at heart. Don't get me wrong I like some down time to for Dear old Dad but I can't wait to see Wyatts face when he sees the parts of the ship and the characters!!! Now my wife turns in to this different person when we get to Disney. She goes kooKoo,gidi, silly and just plain excited. She has wanted to do this for years but we wanted to wait till we had a baby. You people do not realize how excited she is. I just hope she hasn't built it up so much she will be dissapointed!!! We are also looking forward to meeting all of our new friends we have been talking to for months now.

Morning Kathy,Joanna,Shel,Lisa,Jeff,GregID,Cheryl,Denise,Tonya,Bob,and Christine!!!!

That's exactly how we feel when we go to Disney. It's as if all the troubles in the world melt away. And that's how we feel when we go on the cruise. (At least, by the second day, I feel that way. I'm the worrier of the two of us. Steve is already relaxed - as long as I'm packed and ready to go on time! For me, I have to let go of work and worrying about my mom, and it usually takes the first day to get that out of my head.)

We can't wait to meet all the Nana's!

We use those too..but I pre-prepare them before we leave with the suggested amounts and then adjust if necessary - usually upward for our stateroom host and assistant server. Haven't had the need to adjust upward for main server..yet. Maybe this will be the year. We think the suggested amounts are really minimums as these folks really work their butts off...but for above and beyond we like to tip a bit more.

Yes you are right they do and I don't mind one bit paying extra for great service I feel this is just part of your price for the cruise.

Nice Tip Calculator.

We usually tip a lot more than what is suggested because of the service that we receive. It truly makes our trip magically. We still see and talk to the 1st server we ever had and he remembers our son. That is how special it was.

I think Steve is making home-made Kahlua so we are looking for bottles to put it in.
And it is YUMMY! Since you can bring liquor onboard (carry-on only) it is not a big deal to hide it, but it is homemade, so I will probably put it in a plastic Root Beer bottle.:thumbsup2

I will just ditto Christine's response, because that is exactly the way we feel.:thumbsup2

As far as service, I just want to give one example I like sharing. In 2006, our head server was from India. Sara asked him if that meant we would be having curry one night for dinner. He said "No, it isn't on the menu this week." However, on the second night, and every night thereafter, a plate of Chicken Curry with Rice was brought to everyone at our table, in addition to our regular entree. All becasue one person at the table asked one question! That is the reason we choose DCL.

We had kinda that same thing happen on our June cruise. I told the server how devastated I was that the chicken wings were no longer on the menu in Parrot Cay. I told him they were my most favorite things to eat on the cruise. Well, low and behold one night at dinner we all had chicken wings:love: .

I just got the grand prize for my Nana Head WDW Trivia contest and whoever wins will be very happy. Start brushing up on your WDW knowledge.

I am not sure when the contest will be held (maybe during Meet-n-Greet?). :confused3
