WOW! I can't believe how long the threads are for this sailing. This is going to be a fun cruise. BTW, I'm Mari and I'm new to the DisBoards and new to Disney cruising (although this will be my 10th cruise). My family and I will be on this sailing and Pam invited us to meet everyone at the 2:30 get together, so we'll try and be there. We are from California, and besides DH, I have a DS (10 y/o), DD (8 y/o), and DS (5 y/o). We will be in cabins 2038 and 2040. Our friends will be traveling with us, and they will be in cabin 7108. We hope to meet everyone soon!

Good Morning Nanas!

Well, the excitement level is finally starting to build! Lisa finished my custom vest and tie last night, and will finish up the FE tonight. She will also do some alterations to the dress she made for formal night in 2006 to reduce it down to fit her weight loss.

We will spend the rest of the week getting everything ready to pack and getting the house ready for our house-sitter to move in on Friday.

Okay, I made this offer on the last cruise, and will do the same on this cruise.

Since I will have my laptop with me, and I know that Shutters charges to download pictures, I am offering to download pictures from your digital camera to a CD or DVD (provided by you) during the cruise in order to free up memory cards, or just as a back-up. My laptop has built in readers for some cards, but will NOT handle compact flash cards. So, if you have a CF card, I will need to have the camera and a USB cable to hook up to my laptop.

I am in room 6636, so just call and leave a message and we can work out a time.

Well this is our final week on the boards....or I should say are final few days....

Well its snowing here....I cannot believe it....I went to let Jack out this morning the the deck was white .....hugh wet snow.....already people cant drive one accident on the way to work....an suv in the ditch I really dont get it......is Illinois people, we get snow you should know how to drive in it by now!!!!

Lisa sounds like me! The vacuum cleaner wouldn't thrill me but the sewing machine would be a treat. Some of those sewing machines out there are pretty fancy these days. One of my friends just got one that does embroidery of all kinds of Disney characters. Now that's a fun gift!

She got a Brother. If the link above works it'll show you the one on Amazon. She got it specifically for the Disney embroidery feature. I've always had Singers but she's very happy with this one. I may have to think differently in the future!

I need help... My 7yo dd & I are travelling with our friends, Teresa & her 7yo ds. He had a freak accident two weeks ago, and his arm is broken & in a cast (after surgery). The break was so bad that they would not put a waterproof cast on it. Do you have any suggestions as to different things he could do during the cruise, or ways to get his mind off all of the water activities? The kids main purpose of our cruises most of the time, is swimming! They are not crazy about the kids club at all. I just don't know what to do, and really hate to keep my dd from swimming all the time, because he can't go. Any suggestions are VERY welcome! I feel for him, he's going to be so sad!!

Disneyfan, you might check at your local medical supply store. I know that they used to have a wrap for the cast that was waterproof (think of a huge air cast for your arm). You might also check with the Dr that set his arm, sometimes they know about the newest things. My DS had a broken arm last year on the trip but we were lucky enough to have a waterproof cast. Good luck and I will be praying for ya, nothing is worse than breaking an arm right before a holiday.

Oh that poor baby! I feel so bad for him.

Be sure to check out the movie schedule and keep an eye on the list of family activities that are offered on the daily schedule. We NEVER use the pools on the cruise ships and DD rarely uses the kids clubs. We keep busy by watching the daily schedule and plotting out the day with other activities.
