Hey Nanaheads!

I am Clay. I got lost on the net and found Kathy on another board about a week or so ago. Been chatting with her and Greg and well...here I am.

My wife Kim and our three sons, 10, 6, and 6 are joining you on the cruise next week. This is our DCL #2 having salied last year on the same date on the Eastern side so we have cruised with you before. I must have seen some of you last year...maybe being escorted away by security?

Well, Kathy has tried her best to discourage me from joining your group - sent pictures, told horror stoires, said you are all raving nuts but it did not work. We look forward to meeting you all on Saturday. We will be there early as I understand many of you will.

Gotta go now...

Hi Clay! :wave2:

Glad you found your way over here. :thumbsup2

Just "jump" in and join the craziness when you can. :rotfl2:

We're getting ready to drive up north to my mothers for Thanksgiving.....probably won't be back until late tonight.

I'll catch ya'll tomorrow. :dance3:

OK, gotta go get my toes done than going to finally see Twilight, then the big pack. I like to take lots of breaks while I'm packing so I will check in thoughout the day...plus I will be posting something very exciting later. I know most of last years Nanas have been waiting all year for it:teeth:

Ummmm Christine??....are you eluding to what I think your eluding to?!!!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

My Dane is freaked because we pulled out the suitcases. He's laying in the middle of my bed totally depressed right now. On the other hand, the Yorkies can't wait for us to leave because my son gives them more treats when he's here.

Your DANE lays on your bed? It must be a step up for him :rotfl:

OK So you have a Dane AND Yorkies? Could you be more extreme? BUT In all honesty I bet your Dane is so much nicer than your Yorkies. Let me know if I am right.

The Dane can get up on the bed easier than I can!

You are SO RIGHT! The Dane is gentle and sweet and never has any kind of an accident. The Yorkies are high strung, bark like crazy, and have far too many accidents. I love all 3 dearly but my future dogs will be Danes.

There's a reason for this madness. When Charles and I got married he wasn't a dog lover. I'd always had Golden Retrievers all my life but he was having none of that. So I talked him into one teeny tiny 2 pound Yorkie puppy. She maxed out at 5 pounds so it was easy to talk him into a teeny tiny boy Yorkie, who then maxed out at 12 pounds.

Well the next step was to talk him into a "little" 15 pound Dane puppy. He reluctantly agreed and then almost passed out the day we went to pick up the puppy. He took one look at the 5 BIG adult Danes the breeder had and said "What in the **** have you gotten me into??" Alas, it was too late and we lived happily ever after with the big boy. :)

Work has been crazy, and my nerves are SHOT! So when the girls at work invited me to take off at noon, go see Twilight and then get a pedicure, I decided to go. At first I was worried about taking off, but then I started really enjoying the other girls, and it was a neat bonding time. I've worked with some of them for years, and never really known them as "fellow females" away from the engineering community. We saw the movie, shopped a little, got pedicures (and drank a little "Vampire" wine that one of the girls had brought) and then we went to the Melting Pot for cheese and chocolate fondue. It really helped me to unwind and calm down a little bit.

I hope you have a great time with your day-trip today.

Well good morning nana's it is a sad day here in La. One of major companies International Paper shut down permanently in the town of Bastrop La. One of my agencies is located their. I have put in a request to my company to restructure I am hoping they will approve. 550 people lost there jobs alot of my friends and customers. But now whats done is done and we have to move forward from this point.

Gone to my nieces Swim meet

Catcha later :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Greg, I worked for a paper company (James River, Fort James and now Graphic Packaging) here in Kalamazoo in HR for 13 years before retiring.

Next week at this time, I should have a Cold beer in hand, Eating in Parrot Cay..

Woo Hoo

Alexis nipped at Christian this morning. He was trying to take her from me. WE pulled out our suitcases yesterday...she's all distraught! :sad2:

We are going out with Steve's sister and BIL to dinner and to see Bolt. Looks like a cute movie.

:wave2: Everyone is really busy getting ready to go today!

Christine, I can't wait to hear what the news is!

GregLA, Sorry to hear about the plant shutdown. Totally understand. Our area here in West Michigan was filled with paper companies. Most are gone now too.

:welcome:to Clay, Kim and family! :welcome:I'm Dawn and travel with my two grandsons Skylar and Christian, both 12.
