I'd be very tempted to stay no matter what time it lands on the 29th and even drive down to Key West to get on the ship if I have to. :lmao:
I will be getting email about the landing on Saturday, and I can get landiing passes, but you really don't want to get in all that traffic probably. Plus, the landing can get waived off if weather is bad (but we are not going to speak of bad weather for our boarding day.) Our landing strip is the shortest of all the landing sites, and there's water on either side, so it makes it more difficult for the pilot of the Orbiter; and plus, at that point the Orbiter is nothing more than a very heavy glider.

Greg-Idaho....JollyG

He won't admit to it, but we have all determined that he HAS to be CIA, NSA or Secret Service. Just not sure which one yet.;)

"I'm with the CIA, but I tell people I'm with the CIC, so they think I'm with the CID."

I'm right behind ya?!

I can see it now...You, me, LisaRae and Tigger Too sitting at Quiet Cove discussing the thermodynamic effects of cumulus clouds on the molecular structure of the exterior tiles on the Space Shuttle after the intense heat of re-entry! I get goosebumps just thinking about it.:woohoo:

Someone pass me an icepick ...

P.S. Mutt may be with ya too ...

Okay, I REALLY need to get back to work. Will check in later!:wave2:

Lisarae is the NASA geek. I am a Communications Project Engineer. I am the engineer between the system designers for Vehicle and Facility Communications (voice, video, telephone, networks, etc.) and NASA for the new shuttle replacement vehicle, Constellation. :scared1:

If it's your mission, why didn't you give it a prettier, girlier name? Like LisaRae's Pretty Pink Mission? :rotfl2:

I really should rephrase that. It's not my mission. I am the quality engineer assigned to that mission from the Space Station side at Kennedy. Really very small part comparatively speaking.:3dglasses

I actually understood what you said! For those who don't know, my brother works for NASA also. He's an electrical engineer. His speciality is satellite.

Unfortunately, my aspirations are a bit higher......I see us sitting around talking about how to create an artificial subspace field via plasma injected anti-matter generators capable of propelling a ship faster then the speed of light. :lmao:

Didn't you say you were supposed to be in a meeting?:rolleyes1

Any good viewing areas with binoculars away from all the traffic? :confused3

:worship: We can talk about that in the second hour of our conversation!:rotfl2:

I'm so excited. I just got my free room for the night of December 6th AND I was able to get a room on Disney property for the night of December 7th! :woohoo: Tickets all bought for the MVMCP!!!!
