11/29/03 Eastern-only 2 days left !!! SINGLE DIGITS!!

Hey TChrist.........looks like majority of disers are leaning toward deck 10 for the meet.

Just booked Pinel Island Snorkel Tour for St. Maarten, Has anyone ever done this excursion before?
Went to the world yesterday and picked up a couple pair of Mickey gloves for sail away party. Seen the new Philharmagic show, which kids and I thought was really good. It was neat to see them stick Donald in a show like that.

Gassmandy,
It was sooooo busy Sat. and the heat was cranking.. We ended up riding 7 things picked up the Mickey hands for kids then went and hung out at Fort Wilderness for a while. We got lucky and slid right in to the Philharmagic.:smooth:
The kids are so excited about using the Mickey hands to wave at everybody as we leave port.

Hello! We just booked the catamaran sail out of St. Thomas to St. John. I have a question for those others that have booked excursions. We did not get a confirmation number, should we have? Thanks.

Tom

Catagory 6,7 and 8's are no longer available!!!!!It looks as if you were going to get an upgrade you would have it by now. Disney RARELY upgrades past a cat. 6. Although......some of you cat. 10 and 11's still might move to a 9.

TChrist-
We were upgraded to room 6000 on our last 4 day cruise and loved it. It is huge! As you probably have figured, it is a wheelchair accessable room with lots of extra space. It is as far forward as you can go without driving the ship yourself. If you have any pictures of the ship, look for that one porthole on the deck above the lifeboats way up front all by itself. That is your window and room!

It has only one bathroom-not the split like others, but it is very large. Also, the bathroom only has a shower - no tub- and the floor and shower are all at the same level for wheelchair access. They are separated by a stainless steel drain that surrounds the shower. There is another drain between the bathroom and the room itself. Make sure you pour at least a cup or two of water in that second drain each day. When we got to the room, it initially had a slight sewer smell, but filling that drain's trap with water took care of the problem! It tends to evaporate out because very little water if any ever gets that far normally.

The living area is spacious. You do not have a sofa, but have a stuffed chair instead located right by the window. I was a little concerned when we were assigned the room that it would not have the charm of a regular room and be somewhat sterile and "hospital-like". It was not! Very nicely decorated.

Location is great! That is probably one of the quietest locations on the ship - at the end of a dead end hall. We never had any problem with ship movement. You will hear the crew when arriving or leaving port as they pull in and let out the chains and lines to dock. Very convienent to clubs and adult pool, plus the forward elevators seem least crowded to me. Plus you get to use the crew staircase forward of the room to go to your safety drill location. Get to see what the working part of the ship looks like!

Congratulations!

Thanks all....we just happen to have a letter for a one category upgrade that we received a while ago...since we received our room number we just happened to call to see if it could be used for a 1 more category upgrade.....and they said yes....just have to send the letter to them and we will get a new cabin number....but Lampskies says there is no more 6,7 or 8....so maybe I should have just stayed where we were.....we will see and I will keep you guys informed....thanks for the kind words and the description of the cabin.....last cruise in September we were in a handicapped cabin....it was just they way you explained it....and huge is an understatement.....almost 7 weeks to go....getting ready!
Tom
