Happy Wednesday everyone.
The week is half way over :cool1:

Cold & sunny here today, headed for a nice 55 this afternoon.

catch you all later,

Kathy

Hi Everyone!
It's been a long time between posts I feel like I should re introduce myself! My DH, DS(8) and DD(12) and I are soooooo excited to be able to keep our ressies and join you guys in Nov!:cheer2:

There was time there we didn't think we'd be able to swing it but it looks like it will work out! And I just pre ordered the 2009 Cruise Passporter so we have to go now!

I'll definitely be looking for advice on what the best excursions are since many of you have done this one a few times..;)

You all have too many pages now for me to catch up so I'm just gonna jump in and try to figure out what's been happening if that's OK?:goodvibes

Hi Michelle!
Looks like our oldest kids are going to be in the clubs together (ocean quest) - My DD will be 11 on the cruise and I'm sure she'd love to start emailing a new friend as we get closer to the cruise.

Jeff

Just checking in here for a minute.:thumbsup2
I have been watching a doe in the field next door. I cant take the pups out while she is there or it would be a long run to catch them as she would surely run back across the street and up the hillside.
She shows up 2 or 3 times a week during the day and how knows how many times at night. I call her Bambi.

We hit 62 today and now starting to cool off a bit. I sure could use a nice cruise about now:cool1:

well I am off to make some pepperoni pizza for dinner tonight,
have a good evening everyone,

Kathy

Good Morning, everybody!

When we got back from the last cruise, there had been a serious ice storm here and a lot of lost power. We started talking about not leaving the house empty for extended periods in the winter and that has lead us to a decision. Unfortunately, we'll miss you this year because we've changed our cruises to the two weeks prior to Thanksgiving, which will get us home before December.

We'll be sorry not to be sailing with the Nanaheads. It sure has been fun knowing y'all! Hope you have a TERRIFIC cruise!

Morning everyone,

Linda, sorry to loose you for this cruise but I do understand why. I hope your still doing the 9/18/2010 with us!!:thumbsup2 If so we will link dinner a few months before the cruise!;)

Today is much colder than yesterday and rain is coming today:sad2:

I made Oatmeal raisin cookies, but thats all I have done.

just keeping us off page 2.

I will check back later, have a great day everyone,

Kathy

Hi Jeff:wave2: You'll be going on your cruise on my birthday:goodvibes

Hi everyone:wave2: It's been crazy here lately...I have decided to open my own home base travel agency. I will be associated with Travel Professionals International and will serve as a full service travel agency. I am very excited!! I will be fully operational by the end of February. I have been doing online courses and exams and also have to go away to do a full week training session.

Congratulations Jamie! I hope it goes well for you.:thumbsup2

If I'm lucky I maybe able to get enough to pay our entire trip to Orlando plus pay a good chuck of our southern caribbean cruise in March?! :goodvibes

Sounds like a paln to me! I need another vacation too! Still waiting for pricing on cruises for November of 2010. Tell your family hello. I still need to email you guys some pictures.

Hi Nanas-Just wanted to say hello. It is still feezing here. Kathy I wish we would hit 60. Heck I will be happy to be above freezing for a day:rolleyes: Hope all is well with everyone. TTYL

Hi Lorna,

nice to hear from you.:goodvibes
Hope things are going well for you.

We booked the TA cruise 9/18/2010 it was really reasonable, but the airfare costs as much or maybe more than the cruise:confused3 Plus the cost of the dog sitter will be aweful but worth it for us.

There is also a Holland America 14 day cruise we would like to do within 2 years if we can. In 14 days there are 11 ports and i think all but 2 are new to us. There isnt much for us to do on the ship but with having 11 port days I think the sea days will be recovering and planning for the next port so it wont be too bad not having much else to do:thumbsup2 It was very reasonable too and goes out of Fort Lauderdale .

Just gotta find the $$ to pay for all these cruises;)
I save all our change and $1.00 bills which add up fast. I do throw an occassional $5 in there too. Plus I use a credit card with cash back and save that for the cruise and we use our Disney chase card and get Disney points to use on the cruise. I used them all up last cruise but already have 24 more built up on it.
Not sure how much cash back we have on the other card. I don't want to look at that until much closer to the cruise time.

It is fun to dream about, plus we have the new ships coming out soon.
Dang it, there are just too many cruises and not enough vacation time or recreation money for them all:goodvibes

Nice hearing from you Lorna,

kathy

Our gas was $1.85 a gallon. I went to buy eggs which takes maybe 10 minutes and when I came back it was $1.97:scared:
I am so glad my tank was full already.

What are all of you paying for regular gas now?? I would like to know.

I do know Oregon is always among the highest because we still pay people to pump our gas, no self serve here.
But I think that is just an excuse;)

Kathy

Yes, Kathy, we're still on the TA. I started looking at airfare today. I figured about same as the cost of the cruise, and it was. I think we're going to fly over the day before and get a hotel to work through the jet lag a little before joining the cruise.

I am happy to hear your still coming along. :cheer2: :cheer2:
Thats great you might go the day before. I am on too tight a budget to do that. Their hotels are very expensive and another day for a dog sitter is very expensive. I am so fussy about my dogs sitter that the only one I am happy with is very expensive.

I will sleep some on the plane if i can. I know I will be so excited that I will keep my energy up until the 2nd day. Then I will crash.:lmao:

Time to turn in for the night. I will keep in touch Linda, either by E-mail or by the threads for the cruise:goodvibes

Good night everyone,

Kathy

Happy Friday everyone,
Who has plans for the weekend?

I dont have any this weekend. Greg has gone to visit his mom for today and will spend the night tonight, so the pups and i can party while he is gone.
Meaty bones for everyone:lmao: :lmao:

Rain, rain and more rain today, maybe snow tomorrow morning but will melt off soon.

I'll check back later,

Kathy

Somewhere between my first walk to my second walk with the pups today gas went up 2 more cents:crazy2:

I may be walking back to Florida if this keeps up:lmao: I dont want to be spending my recreation (cruise) money for the extra cost of gas.

Where is everyone today????:confused3

Kathy

I'll post today so you won't be the only one!:thumbsup2

Today is a casual day - laundry, errands, get the taxes ready :scared:
Tomorrow, I'm taking DD for her first ever ski trip. Hopefully she will like it! Then its back to work to pay for the Disney addiction!! :sad2:

Thanks for posting. I feel so much better now. I am not alone here:goodvibes

I hope the ski trip goes well. I never have tried to ski but I always thought it would be a lot fo fun.

I need to get the rest of our tax stuff together this weekend too, then off to the accountant to have them done. At least we will get a refund this year, although its already planned where its going to be spent:guilty:

Any year we dont have to pay is a good year:thumbsup2

Kathy

well w ehave clouds and cold today. They are still saying maybe a dusting of snow tonight. But I insist that be passed to Greg at his house. He deserves the snow more than I do:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Since he isnt here often I am safe giving him a hard time, maybe??:lmao:

Hope everyone has a good weekend,

Kathy

The only reason Jeff wouldnt be posting for this long must be he is sick. It is not like him.
So Jeff if your not feeling well I sure hope you feel better soon:goodvibes

I saved us from page 2 again. I don't think we have ever been this slow before??

Kathy
