Christine, when we go back to Florida our route takes us way south of Las Vegas by hundreds of miles. Other wise we would stop by and say hello.
we stay as far south as we can for the best weather possible.
It will be 2 or 3 weeks before we know for sure if we will go back in February or April.
Kathy

I am sure it will be very quiet here since there arnt any people living close by, just a few farms. So no big noises at midnight this year.
At least the dogs wont go crazy this year.

Yes, Greg, we had a great Christmas! Got lots of toys to play with! And you? Did you enjoy getting to open your present?

Ya, we had a good Christmas. :thumbsup2

I think my wife and I need to communicate better about gift buying though? (and remembering what we've bought!) .....our cruise and trip to Florida was suppose to be our Christmas for the family and we were only going to get a gift or two each for the kids, but between what she bought and what I bought and what we both bought during the year we still ended up with a room full of gifts!! :lmao:

THE QUEEN STILL RULES THE TOP OF THE PAGE !!

Greg, eat my dust!!

all others excuse my dust please.
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think the dust may of settled since you posted this because I see no dust anywhere?! :rotfl2:

Plus I think Oregon may be too muddy for dust at all?! :lmao:

I'll bet you didnt hear one complaint from the kids did you:goodvibes
We have done that on Christmas before. We decide what to get, I usually wind up having to do the shopping.
Then Greg decides to grab one extra gift on his own for the kids which turns into 4 or 5 gifts each and doesnt tell me and I have the same idea and before you know it every kid has 15 or 20 packages??

Thats what memories are made of and empty wallets:rotfl2:

Ya, I'm sure the kids must of thought we were Santa's last stop and just left everything that was in his bag at our house.

I worry though because I try and make my kids be grateful and appreciative of the things they get and things we get to do.

I figure if I spoil my kids I'm NOT doing them any favors in life because they'll grow up being self centered and never knowing when enough is enough or even what the value of a dollar is because mommy and daddy have always given them everything they wanted.

When they get married they'll still be accustomed to doing and getting everything they had with mom and dad which will make married life extremely difficult. (it only takes one self centered person in a marriage to ruin it)

:rotfl2: Sorry, someone left the soapbox unattended and it appears I got on it! :rotfl2:

Thats a great way to raise them.
we made our work for allowances and to help around the hosue with NO rewards of any kind, just becasue we are a family and help each other out without getting a reward.
Plus doing for others without them knowing it to learn how it feels to do soemthing for someone without being asked and to not be thanked but to know it was appreciated.

example. elderly neighbor goes to a doctor appointment so while they are gone you mow their grass, do some weeding and be done before they get home. Another neighbor is having a hard time financially, so we go to the store and buy groceries which kids can help pick out and while they were gone leave a couple bags of groceries on their porch for them without ever saying they did it.

Those are the best lessons for everyone to learn. I do believe they learned some valuable lessons from those experiences. Plus we have been on the receiving end too, so they know both sides of the situation.

See, there is room on the soap box for 2 :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: as long as theirs NO plank to walk off the box.

I cant believe it hasnt poured rain yet today, but it is coming tonight.
Who still has snow out there?

Greg how do you like your present that Janel wouldnt let you unwrap ahead of time???

I have been watching a marathon of Burn Notice.
Anybody ever watch that show?
Yesterday I watched a marathon of Psych, it is pretty funny once you know the characters.
