Denise, what all have you gotten for the baby?

Skylar and I went to get his guitar lesson book today (had to go to a couple of stores and finally bought the last one!) We stopped at Kohl's to get his birthday present (a hat) and ended up buying him a shirt, jeans and pj bottoms for both him and Christian. I think I'll go back next week also because the sales keep getting better!

Hi Denise, glad you stopped by. How is Sue doing?


Tomorrow we are suppose to wake up to a couple of inches of snow, but its also suppose to melt away early in the morning. I am so glad because before I heard the weather I told my mom I was coming to visit tomorrow. I didnt want to cancel that visit.

Greg is outside with his binoculars in the dark looking up towards wher eyou turn off into this park.
2 vehicles have stopped there, facing eachother and about 5 or 6 people are outside waling from one side of the road to the other like they lost soemthing?
Its really strange.
I thought maybe they hit a deer but it doesnt look like they have any damage to their cars, so it really is confusing. We are wondering what they are doing?
Now Greg has started his truck, so maybe he will drive by them to see whats going on.

It is a dangerous place to stop and especially bad to get out of your car there. No lighting, no walking areas ont he sides of the road, just drop offs on both sides.

Ok, Greg just came back inside and it was a wreck between a car and a small pickup. The pickup went over the embankment which is a big drop off into the end of the field the dogs play in.
They have 2 more cars that have stopped to help but everyone is ok. Just waiting for a tow truck and the police to arrive.
I dont know how it happened. But since they are all ok it doesnt really matter.

The roads around here are terrible also.....I wish you'd keep all that bad weather over their!

Most of my family just left. They all came over to watch our cruise video.

I was finally able to get it all edited with sounds/music and special effects.....my poor laptop is still smoking from all the computing power it took to edit high definition video and then burn it onto a Blu ray disk!!

I've got to get kids bathed and put to bed.

I hope I'm at the right place...we are headed out on the Magic on Nov 28 for the 7 night Wester Caribbean cruise - it is our first cruise and first Disney cruise. It will be DH, me, DS 9 and DS 7 plus our friends DH, DW, DD 7 and DS 5. I've been reading lots of trip reports - and we are all so excited! I'm wondering how you get on the "invite" list for DIS meets and what the scoop is on the gifts that everyone seems to trade and how that all works. I love doing stuff like that, but again - being completely new to this I have no idea how it works. Could somebody fill me in? I'll take any advice anyone is willing to give - we really have no idea what we are doing!

My DH and I were talking of moving our cruise from the Dec 5 Eastern to this one, phew talk about a wild ride to find the right thread! lol Anyway, looks like we will be jumping onboard with you all this week sometime! Our second cruise ( just went Dec 13-20, 2008 Western). Me Lucinda 41, DH Casey 48, DD Katie will be 5, DD Carrie will be 3! Hope yall are accepting new people into your group!

Whoever takes charge of the meet and list from this thread will tell everyone on the thread where it is. I'm not cruising on this cruise but keep in touch with the '08 nanas thru here and facebook.

Oh This group accepts newbies! they welcome them actually, the more the merrier. There is nothing like a DIS meet, everyone knows each other and when we see each other on the ship you are never alone.

I am Kathy and have done all 3 of the past nanahead cruises.
I am hoping to do this one too but havnt booked yet.
We need to wait and see about the economy and if my hubbys job lasts. He has been laid off for 6 months, then working for the last 6 months but now looks like he may get laid off again.

So I am posting as if we are going, but we really wont know until the last minute. We are doing a 14 day TA cruise on the Magic in 2010.
Please ask all the questions you can think of. We love to help newbie cruisers.

Dont let us scare you off with all our crazy teasing of each other.
Just jump right in and start posting. Thats the best way to get aquianted.

Dont worry about the events we do, as time gets closer we will all get the information. Usually we have matching t-shirts we wear the first day to help recognise each other.
we have a meet at 2:30 the first day in the Promenade lounge where we meet, chat, exchange one gift per family, $10 minimum for the one gift.
We try to make it a regional gift. Something from your state.

Fish extender exchange I will explain later when I have more time. Everyone can do that who wants to. Lots of time for that.

It is late and I am tired, so will sign off now, but as usual I will be back tomorrow and chat some more.
