Jaime, Thanks for sharing! It's really interesting. And I thought it was a dumb question!!! Keep sharing the photos! I know our kids don't seem bigger to us but I'm sure they look that way to those who haven't seen them since last november!

Dawn, I enjoyed Anne of Green Gables years ago too... so now I'm enjoying it again. I get that way with things. If I really like a movie or book I read or watch it over and over! It's been a while since I saw it so I forgot a lot of what happens in this case.

Kathy, I got a refund on last year's cruise. They lowered the price and I had booked through Dreams Unlimited and they did inform me of the price going down and refunded my money without my even asking. That's why I transfered my reservation to them when we got back this time. Plus they gave me a $100 credit for transfering it, that will be there on our account when we get there.

By the way... today was "Wacky Hair Day" for the boys at daycare. See a photo of it on our blog. We picked them up early and took them to see the barnstormers who were at the local airport. I'm not really into that sort of thing, but they were really cool looking planes!

Good Morning everyone!

It has been okay here the past three days weather wise...it could be nicer...the sun is hiding behind fog but every now and then it makes an appearance...still enjoying be able to go out and about though...

That's great Dawn that you have been so busy lately...I get really busy in the fall with my consulting work...

Chuch how is your dog? I would be so upset if Koda got sick!

You know what Jaime, on our cruise I never even got in the hot tub! The only thing I got in briefly was the mickey pool ear supervising Jackson. Did you ever get in? I got virtually no adult time at all.

That's why, even if we could afford to go this year, I would still wait for 2009. Because then Jackson will be 3 1/2 and old enough to spend a little time in the club!

We tried to take him in the theatre a couple of times to watch a movie and we had to leave because he started making noise! I did manage to watch part of Pirates one afternoon while I was doing some laundry though. That was my one "stolen moment" alone!

No I didn't get a chance to get in a hot tub either...or a pool...I really wanted to go to the rainforest room but never got to do that either...besides the cost...the main reason we are waiting for 2009 is because the girls will be in the clubs together...the only time Alicia wanted to go near the clubs last time was when Kierra was going...a really nice CM let her go in with Kierra for Lava Flow...but she ended up falling asleep

My only alone time was doing laundry and I went and got pictures...I have seen some really nice pictures of the adult areas and really hope we get a little more time to explore next time...

I did learn a lot last time though...I plan to be real prepared for the seasickness next time and will be in Florida for at least two days before we cruise...now that we have done the rotation next time if we want to do something else we will just skip our rotation...I also plan on trying to get a table for just the four of us...that way we don't hold up everyone at our table if there is seasickness...

I have lots of sunshine this morning, going to be upper 80's today
which means we will be relaxing outside later today.
Bad thing is, I only have jeans, no shorts
Guess I'd better buy some this weekend before I die of heat.


we may go to Portland tomorrow and see my MIL and back to salem to pick up our mail at DD's house.

anybody else have any plans for the weekend??

If I can find them I have some pictures of my oldest DD with funky hair, but she is all grown up, at least by her age, her brain, well thats another story

Here is some funky hair people.
I iwll let youknow she is not a punk or into drugs or drinking, but she started doing funky stripes at first because she works with mentally and physically challenged kids. many are almost like a vegetable, you cant even get them to look at you.

she found out my stripping her hair, many would smile or even laugh at her. eventually the kids started waiting for her to arrive to see her hair.
Then it escalated into all the hair and she has kept it that way ever since, even in the summer, although a couple she was a blonde.
here are 3 colors she has used.

Jaime,
After our first cruise I decided to try to keep the traveling as simple as possible (non-stop for us last time) and also to give them a GOOD nights sleep before boarding. You just can't rush kids and push through like we adults do. Especially little kids.

I'm with you on the dining rotation. I have to admit this is the part of cruising that I like the least. I get impatient with the really long meals.

I enjoyed the company this time a lot! But for some reason we were always the last ones out of there! And once we decided to take the kids to the clubs during meals that was our only kid-free time and I would have rather been doing something else other than sitting at the same table for 2 hours!!
