DCL Pays Record Price for Panama Canal Crossing

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PANAMA CITY, June 10 (Reuters) - A U.S.-owned cruise ship has paid a record $331,200 to cross the Panama Canal as vessels fight for space in the increasingly congested waterway, authorities said on Tuesday.

The 964-foot (295-meter)-long Disney Magic, owned by a subsidiary of Walt Disney Co (DIS.N: Quote, Profile, Research), broke the transit record on May 16, the Panama Canal Authority said. The ship sails out of Port Canaveral, Florida, and is registered in the Bahamas.

yea, I know the feeling....I hit a milestone this year 50....:faint:

Chuck :goofy:

I saw 50 a few years back, so I tell everyone I am 65 so they will say I look good for my age:lmao:

A few times when I met friends of Greg's, he would without my knowing it tell them I am 10 years older than him:mad: He did it as a joke. Ha Ha!
Then one time we went to dinner at his friends house and his wife kept looking at me and finally when we were alone she said "I can't believe how good you look for your AGE".
That is when I found out what he had been doing.
Of course he found a rubber fishing worm in his sandwich the next day at work and a wooden hard boiled egg:lmao:

On one of our 3 day cruises the coconuts were fully matured and they kept falling off the trees. One just missed hitting a lady on the head :scared1:
After that we told several people who were sitting under those trees so they could move their chairs , just in case.

It made me wonder if anybody has ever been injured there by a falling coconut?

By the way, great photo!:thumbsup2

It is finally warm enough to open a couple of windows and air it out in here:cool1:

I am happy about that, time to change to a cooler shirt.

 I'm glad I was missed! We had a good time at the zoo. It was nice to do something for a change! Elizabeth was so excited even before we went in because she heard a peacock. She'd say "What's that?" I'll get some pictures from Stephanie.

Melanie, How's your mom? I watched on TV this morning about the flooding in Iowa. The early show was in Waterloo.

I agree looking at that picture of Castaway Cay just lowers the blood pressure a few notches! It was beautiful.
Greg, Glad you stopped by.

We got back about 2 today. But I had some business to take care of and then Christian had another game. He won 11 - 5. They all played well.

Hope everyone had a great night! Chat with 'ya tomorrow.

Dawn, glad to hear you guys had a good time.

I still remember out first time taking our first baby to the zoo. She was about 9 months old and Greg set her on his shoulders and guess what?
Yep, she wa sso excited she peed all down his back and soak clear onto his jeans at the waist.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Of course I had lots of extra baby clothes but no extra daddy clothes:lmao:

I bought a souvenir t-shirt which helped but he couldnt get it all washed very good. I had wipies I used some. He didnt make that mistake with the other 3 kids:rolleyes1

someone has a big tractor tonight and they are mowing down the tall grass in the field where the dogs run.
Minnie will be mad, she loves ot crawl through the tall grass like she is stalking her prey. Then she chases the field mice through the grass.

Pixie just leaps over the top of the tall grass.

I know it would become a fire hazard soon, so it is good they cut it down.

Lotsof birds out there enjoying it for now.
