Dawn, I can tell your really sorry about it arnt you Your about as sorry as I am when I get to the top

Melanie, hugs, prayers and pixie dust for all those poor people. we had tornadoes wipe out dozens of homes and 11 dead about 1/4 miles from us last year, but we were apared, but the devistation is incredible to see.

I have spent the day caring for Greg and Minnie so havnt been on line at all.
I drove 25 miles to the nearest large town to get him a heat pack fo rhis back in hopes that mayhelp besides the brace. so far not much luck.
He needs lots of healing and prayers to make it to work tomorrow.

I had to buy a t- shirt to put on Minnie to keep her from licking her wound. It works but she hates having it on. I take it off for wlks and when she goes to bed tonight.
She looks hilarious and I took her picture today. I will try to get shots of the park tomorrow so I can get them posted soon. Just have been so busy caring for and entertaining the sickies here I didnt get it done.

I will let you know if Greg makes it to work tomorrow,

Well Chris went to parkersburg today and helped board up my sisters house and temporarily repair the hole in her roof. He said the devastation is terrible. He is staying there over night and then will do some more work tomorrow before returning home.

By the way I guess 2 of the people that are dead are actually still missing. It was an elderly couple and I guess they were in their basement but everything had been stripped out of the basement. And the furnace was all twisted up. How very sad.

Kathy I've had to resort to clothing an animal to keep them for licking a wound before too! It works, until they chew the clothes off!!

Our dog is currently missing. He does this occasionally. He always comes back. Of course he had to do it tonight, when I am here alone. I have no idea how he got out of the fence. Now I'll be up half the night worrying about it!! It's been a really rough weekend! I think I'd better head to bed!!

Kathy, Doesn't sound good for Greg. I know he's had this before. Do you have a doctor out there? Alexis wore a onesie when she had her surgery. We especially had to put it on her at night because that's when she licked! I cut a hole out for her tail! She was only about 4 - 5 pounds then and she looked soooo cute!

My day yesterday actually started to turn around. It has a help when I sold 5 fish extenders yesterday. Not so worried about the extra money to get the pump fixed now. Lisa, one family was from Japan! I'm actually sending to her mother's in Wisconsin for a July Mexican Riveria cruise.

Back to work. Got to replace all those extenders! Check back later.

Howdy ladies and Greg,

well we have clouds and kind of cool weather this morning. It may hit 70 later but a chance of thunderstorms later today. So who knows what it will really be like today.
At least I have the internet.

Greg managed to get up and go to work but was still in terrible pain, I expect him to be back in a couple of hours. I dont see how he could makeit through the day. This boss has waited 3 weeks for us to move down here and start work, so we dont want to ask him to wait another week or 2 for the back to heal, so this probably means good bye to the much needed job. I will let you know what happens.
I really dont care about the job compared to Gregs health, I know something else will come along soon and we still have unemployment for a few more weeks.
Dawn, we dont have a doctor here yet. The nearest medical places are near his job, 25 miles from here.

Last week before we moved I saw my old doctor for a bad infection in my side, he didnt have to see me after all these years but he said ok. I was so glad.
Eugene has an Urgent care walk in clinic and that is about 35 miles from here. But with no insurance greg wont go unless he really has too. Usually he just lays around for a week and it gets better. He doesnt tollerate the muscle relaxers they give you very well.


Minnie is getting use to her clothes. I take it off when she goes outside but put it back on as soon as we get back inside. Now she just stands there and waits for me to put it on her. I left it off last night, which was a mistake because she did lick her wounds and got to hurting bad again, so tonight it stays on all night too.

well I need to wash bedding today and start up the crockpot for beef soup for dinner.
will check back around noon, unless greg comes home and needs me to do something for him.

Mel Sorry about all thats going on up there. I've been away from any news all weekend. But my thoughts are with you.

Just returning to work after after my niece's wedding. It was planned for Sunday evening but didn't happen until Monday morning. It was a LONG weekend and i'm still trying to catch up on rest. Spending the weekend with family is wonderful but SO exhausting.

We are looking forward to a weekend with NO soccer games and being bums. You know it won't happen but we can hope.

I will check back in later.

Oops sorry guys here I am.
I got my official cruise confirmation in the post now so its real eek.

I also asked a price for a suite and we kinda nearly fainted but I am sure we don't need a suite do we.

We might add the REAS package *** that sounds kinda neat I could go for that.

My husband starts his new job tomorrow and he got a voucher and money from his old one. YAY.

Hi gang,
well it is lunch time and Greg is still at work. knowing him he is in pain but too stubborn to come home and relax like anybody else would.
He took migraine strength excedrin with him to help with the pain some.
I just know when he does come home he will be flat on his back all night.

I just took the dogs for a short walk. They would love a long one but the vet said NO long ones for Minnie for a few more days. The Vet just called and Minnies growth was NOT cancerous
so that is some good news.

My soup is smelling good, wish I could have some. Of course it wont be ready until around 5 tonight.

got to go and take some laundry to dry in the laundry matt next door.

when the 08 cruise is done we have more men who will be posting here too. They are just waiting for the 08 cruise to be done with first.

Now for my bad news, it just keeps coming...the pool cracked about 6 feet. I noticed it because it lost about 3 inches of water in an hour This happened about 4 this evening. We just got back from honors night for Skylar and it's down about 2 foot. I'm sure the pool will collapse by morning We tried to patch but it's just too cold. I'm sure it will need a new liner and now with the pool filter, I'll probably just let it go for the summer unless a miracle happens.

Hope Greg is getting better.....seems like there is so much bad news these days. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone.

On the brighter side....I had sinus surgery...no more pain and I can actually breathe through my nose for the first time in over 10 years.

Hi everyone,

Sorry I havent posted in a long time. There have been a lot of things going on right now and Im so glad I have this thread to read everyday. Its really keeps me going to think about the trip. I still havent gotten the FE dont yet. I cant find the darn thread that gives the measurments. I also cant figure out how to make the back stiff and then the pockets strong to hold all the suprises I will be getting and giving. I will just keep working on it.

I just decided to fly with the boys down to moms in FL in June or July. They just found out that the house they just built 2 years ago may be torn down for a power line. They are in a panic of what to do. How do you get another morgage when you still need to pay for the house that is no longer there?

My family is planning on moving to the Winter Heaven area within the next two years. Mom is going to look in that area to now that she will be homeless soon.lol That will be great. Maybe her and I will be able to hop on more Disney cruise with both being in FL . I hope we will be able to possibly even join you guys next year.

Do you only do the Western Carribean or am i not seeing something right? Ok I need to finish my bottle of wine now and try to acturally get some sleep till the dreaded day starts. Sorry for all ther b******. Have a great night everyone. I will try to post more often now.

Marie , our first 2 nanahead cruises were Easterns, now we have 2 westerns booked, 08 and 09. Just for a change.

sorry about the pool, that is really a bummer

well Miine got her top staple out somehow?
The wound is slightly open but not too bad, and no bleeding, so I think I may just wait a couple days to decide if I need to take her back in for another staple, her vet is 2 hours drive from here, so it would have to be on saturday. If it gets worse I my have to find a local vet that stays open late evenings because I dont have a car right now , so I have to wait until Greg gets home to go.

Greg made it through his first day but he was in so much pain, NO way could I of done it. He was hurting bad again today too, but managed to go.
He said the job was ok, but not something he wants to stay with.
Kind of boring, no mental challenge for him, plus no benefits. even holidays are not paid and no paid vacations either. Too small of a company.
But for now it will keep our heads above water until something better comes along. He is still applying all over the place.


It is pouring rain today, so I got to use my new umbrella for the first time while taking the dogs out this morning. No other news around here for now, I need to find my cord I need to download my photos today. I cant remeber where I put it, but it cant bee too hard to find, not that many drawers around here Hope to get it today and post photos of Minnie in her t-shirt.
