Hey Jaime, I thought all Canadians got health insurance? :confused3

Very limited while outside Canada...and actually it can be limited while visiting other provinces too but not too bad...we always get exta insure while travelling outside of Canada...

I would chose the T&C over the Atlantis ANYTIME. I've been there to the Club Med and the water is amazing there.

Is there enough at Club Med to do with kids? I like the look of the "Beaches resort" and it seems very kid friendly.

I almost chose Providenciales for Janel and I's getaway next month, but Aruba won out because I didn't want to worry about storms and hurricanes messing up our plans. :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone,

very foggy here today, but headed for a great afternoon. 80 degrees if they are right and i think they are.
Today is laundry day for me. I started about 7 a.m. so I will finish before it gets too warm today.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Denise how is DD doing? Any pains yet?

Kathy

Yes but not on the 31st...right now we only have hotel booked for 28, 29, 30 at the AKV...we a really hoping to go on the Magic or the Wonder but we have nothing booked yet...keeping a close eye on rates...we had a cruise on the Magic book for the 31 but cancelled it before Christmas because it was looking like Kierra wouldn't quailfy for med insurance but she has been doing really well lately and it looks like she'll be covered! However now the rate is $1000more!

I am going to buy tickets for the Halloween party for the 29th and if we are still in WDW for the 31 some of resorts and DTD usually have activities that we can take part in for free. We should try to meet up.

Absolutely we should meet up, if only to say Hi:wave2:. As it get closer, lets try to work something out.

They had a 2-bedroom model set up at SSR and we toured it. It looks amazing. i think we are going to buy it the next time we are there.

I just told Joey last night, once we are out of debt and start making money we are buying into DVC. We have been talking about it for years and it's time we just got some points. I am hoping my next year.

I second that. Although I haven't been to T&C (next on my list) we went to Atlantis during our first Disney Cruise and hated it. The place is too huge and the people were so rude. I am glad I got a sample of it because I had always wanted to stay there but I have no desire to go back.

Jeff - Great trip report! Glad you liked the preview of BLT. We actually purchased it site unseen on our January cruise. We have a studio booked for Thanksgiving right before our next cruise. We got developer points so it paid for the next cruise and we still had points left over for 2 nights before hand.
Sorry to hear about Atlantis. I've never been but everyone always talks about it. Sounds like some place we can definitely miss.

Kathy - I hope you're feeling better soon. I hate colds.

We had a beautiful weekend. Weather was fabulous. DH got a lot of work done with a new garden he is planting. Of course the puppies are having fun digging up the fresh dirt he is planting. I heard him screaming upstairs Sunday morning and couldn't figure out what he was yelling about as I knew all the dogs were out in the yard. Apparently he was screaming out the window to stop digging up his new dirt. :rotfl2: Poor guy, all that hard work and the puppies just seem so happy to destroy it. ;)

My mom is visiting and is doing well. Now if she would stop insulting my sisters, all would be great. And yes, mom is healthy as a horse and only 69. For some reason she has lost the filter on her mouth. She told my younger sister that her new hairstyle/color looked like a wig they would give cancer patients. :scared: Once she said it, it did become obvious (not that I told DS) but geez DM needs to put that filter back in place. :lmao:

I hope everyone has a good week! Its supposed to rain pretty hard to today so I hope the rest of the week clears up! :)

Just jumping in to say hi!

Beautiful weather and baseball & soccer are both in full swing! Yeah! Takes away from indoor time for now!

Waiting to hear any news Denise!

We said the exact same thing. We had toyed with going there over spring break this year and so thought maybe next year. Am I glad we saw it this time because now I wouldn't go there for a trip for anything.

When I went to club med, it was before kids. BUt I know the clubs with kids programming do have a lot to do. One warning about the beaches. I have a very good friend who went to the T&C Beaches with her family and they absolutely despised it. She said it was filthy. She wrote letters upon getting home etc. not to get money back but just to let people know how awful their experience was. She is not the type to complain unnecessarily and this is another place we had always thought we'd go - until her experience.

Allison, i know a lot of people who once they get past mid 60's just say what they think without worrying about how it sounds. Once one of them said I am old enough now that i really dont care what people think of me when I speak. I am just going to tell it like it is. Maybe your mom has reached that point too.

Wish I could of seen the puppies having fun in the dirt. I know my full grown dogs would of done the same thing.:rolleyes1 They are trouble makers just like little kids.:lmao:

Hi Dawn, sounds like the boys are keeping you busy now.:thumbsup2

Hi Jeff:wave2:

we are 73 and beautiful today, heading for 80 but the RV is so small it heats up fast. It was 85 in here so I had to turn on the AC already and its only noon. I wanted to save on the electric bill this month but running the AC isnt going to help that bill:sad2:

catch everyone later,

Kathy

I had heard complaints about the Beaches resorts on Jamaica, but hadn't heard anything about the one on T&C.

We'll probably just end up renting a beach house/condo on Grace Bay or book the Villa Renaissance.... it looks fun and relaxing. :thumbsup2

hi Chuck,
thanks for the photo. I love the Castle:goodvibes
On your signature the bottom cruise was cut off. It just says Disney Western. Did you book another Disney cruise or is that an old icon you didnt remove?
Tell Mark hello from the nanaheads:thumbsup2

Kathy

yes, we booked the Magic western for Oct 30, 2010. We had our points for this year to use up so be banked them to next year and decided on the cruise. We are looking at Disneyland Paris for the spring to use up the rest. Hoping airfares stay as low as they are now.

Hi everyone-Just wanted to check in and say hi. We had a nice trip to Tennessee 2 weeks ago. It was warm the 1st 2 days, then it snowed:upsidedow Not really what I wanted to see, but it was so pretty in the mountains. We did some hiking on the warm days.

Kathy-prayers and :grouphug: for your mom.

Denise-looking forward to hearing news about your new grand baby:cloud9:

Jeff-Thanks for sharing pictures. Looks like you had fun. Makes me want to be on Castaway Cay right about now:goodvibes I will have to check out your trip report.

Take care everyone.:grouphug: TTYL

Hi Lorna, nice to hear from you again. Glad you had a nice vacation.

Chuck, I am happy your getting to go on the Magic still. Paris DL is quite a trip, i hope you have a great time!! I have never been across the pond but will do some exploring when we do our TA cruise in 2010.:banana:

Morning all! We were back on the bottom of page 2 so I'm giving us a bump!

Worked hard yesterday...not so much today. :rolleyes1
Hope everyone is having a good day! :)

Ok I'll play bump the thread too. I have had a pretty crappy morning. Taking sick kid to the doctor to get the revelation that "she has a cough." No kidding? Fighting with said pre-teen kid and trying to teach a lesson. I'm truly exhausted by 10:30 a.m. Can't focus on work. Disney, take me away....

Yeah, I've done that before. Take them to the doctor only to have them tell you...yep they're sick, if it gets worse or their fever goes above 103 come back in or call us...that'll be $100 please! :sad2:

Hey I have been sick for 3 days now and nobody has offered to take me to the doctor:confused3 Maybe a local witch doctor:lmao:

Morning everyone. i had a rotton night too Jeff. Didnt even start dozing until around 4 a.m. and was up at 6 a.m. Nasty cold here.

I will try and nap this afternoon after lunch but if i sleep too much I know I wont sleep again tonight.

My Blazers played an awesome game and won last night:cool1:
Back later when I get some rest,

Kathy
