This will be my first cruise. My daughter took this 4 day cruise as part of her honeymoon. She called me while the ship was pulling in screaming that I had to take the cruise with her. So....here I go. Is there anyone else out there that will be with us?

Of course there are other people on this cruise with you... ME! We're going to have so much fun! I love you and am so happy we get to do this together! :teeth:

Hi,

Yeah there are others going on this cruise....my family and 3 other families from Pittsburgh, PA. This will be the first cruise for most of us too and we will be at Disney for 3 days before the cruise....can't wait. Have a son 13 and a daughter 9 1/2 so they are looking forward to this. We're driving my husband nuts.

We used to live in Md so welcome aboard. Also there is another thread on these boards with another lady also going on our cruise, she's a veteran cruiser. Scroll down under Cruise Meets and you should find her posting.

Regards,

Briege

Sirena, I think this is the thread you should be in. The other one thread is a cruise that happened 10 months ago.

:wave2: I am on this one too! with my husband, 3 yr old daughter and 9 month old son. We will drive up there from Ft Lauderdale. My brother and is family are coming down from PA and his sister in law will come from NJ. They have kids 7,10 and 11.

I am now reserving the baby's spot at Flounders and I'm not sure if I'm picking good times. Already made ressie for Palo on the 4th nite, I heard it is the busiest at Palo but since it would be a repeat of one of the 3 restaurants...thought I'd give it a try.

This is my first cruise so I'm a little nervous about getting seasick or the kids getting sick beforehand but I am trying to stay positive .

I guess this thread has been quiet for a few weeks. Anyone else out there going on the 11/27/05 4 day Wonder Cruise

I'm not sure about the costumes, but I'm sure we will bring patches and bandana's at the least. Yes we are getting very excited. There's a large group of us, several families. We will be at POR for a few days before the cruise too. Altogether there are 4 families, and quite a happy group we are:

1st Family - Mine. DH, DS 13, DD9 & myself (our 1st cruise & trip to WDW)
2nd Family - DH, DW, DS 10 (Their 1st Cruise & trip to WDW)
3rd Family - DH & DW (Multiple WDW trips, 1 cruise & married at Disney)
4th Family - DH, DW, DD 19, DS 12 (2 trips to WDW, 1st Cruise & renewing their vows during our cruise).

We will have to arrange to meet on the cruise.

You will have a blast! It must be super special to renew your vows at DCL. They already treat you like royalty, I cannot imagine. Would love to meet you all. I am really excited and already getting prepared. I bought the sea bands and bonine already. I am planning to get ginger chews by the dozens too.

Sirena,

I just wanted to let you know that I don't think our 4th night is a repeat of a restaurant. I know you posted that you had Palo ressies for the 4th night as you expected it to be a repeat restaurant night. I hope that is indeed the case for you. I saw info posted somewhere on this. I will have to try and find it. Of course it depends what Dining Rotation you are on. We are 8:30pm. Have you heard about the staggered dining times on the wonder now? 8:00pm, 8:15pm & 8:30pm; the same goes for the earlier dining - 6:00pm, 6:15pm & 6:30pm.

I think the post I saw was actually 4 day navigators from the end of August and it indicated each day which dining room the staggered dining times ate in which restaurants.

I checked my reservation on DCL and it stated ours was 8:30pm, so that how I knew that our rotation would be
Parrot Cay, Tritons, Tritons, Animator's Palate

Of course they could always change it between Aug & Nov, but it seems as though they're on some kind of a schedule. Also, I think I heard somewhere that if you have Animator's Palate for 2 nights then they do not change to color on the 1st night, only the 2nd. I hope that isn't true because it seems so beautiful and as many people as possible should be allowed to see it.

I just found the passporters. They're on *****************
They are the Wonder 4 day Navigators from the 8/28/05 Cruise. They give a great idea of what to expect on board, although times are known to vary.

Hope this helps.

I had a friend who just got back from a 2 week carnival cruise around Hawaii. She swears by the ginger capsules. She said they were great. You take 1 with each meal and they can be opened up and put in food too. She said she also took them before going to bed so the rocking of the boat wouldn't make them sick. She said the ginger capsules can be bought in a bottle of 50 or 100 at any pharmacy and are cheap. Also, they do not make you drowsy.

I am so happy for my friends who are renewing their vows on board. It will be a nice experence to share.

We will definitely arrange for a meet. You said you had family in your group from PA, we are from Pittsburgh. Also the children in your groups, what ages are they and are they boys or girls?? I know my 9 yr old daughter would love to meet a friend.

Huh---I read in some post that the fourth nite was a repeat. Where are those schedules? The link you didn't show up in your reply. I hope Flounders has availability if I have to change ressie for another nite.. :dog:

My niece is 11 and my nephew 12. All others are young - mi DD is 3 and my DS is 8 months old.

I like the ginger chews they are really spicy - by the third one my mouth is on fire.

Sirena,

I emailed you the name of the site. I guess the moderator on the boards removed my refence to it!!

Hi everyone,

Are you all getting excited....less than a month now. I was busy booking Castaway Cay excursions over the weekend.

Beth, hope you find this site too.

I am now more than ever. Just got power after 3 days power-less. Survived Wilma! :umbrella: Now cleaning up...

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to post here what I have posted on another thread for the 11/27/05 4 day Wonder Cruise. We were trying to arrange a meeting and Beth one of the posters suggested the following:

.... meeting on Deck 10, all the way aft, outside Palo, at 3:15 PM for a quick hello. There is very rarely anyone there at that time, and you can't get lost if you go ALL the way aft. You'll be able to recognize me from my picture...I don't change much from one year to the next...and from the fact that I'll have my lime green Mickey head tag with my name on it!

I told her I was going to check with the group I am cruising with. Is anyone else interested in a meeting?? I';ll try also to post the other thread too.

OK, I FINALLY found this thread (of course, I'm at work and supposed to be doing research on housing conditions :rotfl:)!

Just a quick introduction for those who don't know me (Hi, Briege!)--

We're a party of two 50-something adults, taking our fifth and sixth DCL cruises (#5 is 11/23/05 for Thanksgiving).

We've never been to Palo, but have brunch reservations for the first cruise, dinner reservations at 8:30 on 11/27, and brunch again on 11/30. We're going to Ardastra Gardens on our day in Nassau, something we've always wanted to do, but just never managed to get to!

We're staying at Pop Century the night before the cruise, and taking DCL transportation from the Beach Club to the port on the morning of embarkation for our first cruise. We will be returning to Coronado Springs for two nights after the cruise to ease back into reality.

Today is my last day in the office before my trip. I have a brief business trip to Atlantic City, a weekend trip to my SIL's for my neice's Sweet 16 party, and then I'm off to Florida!

I can't wait to meet all of you! We look exactly like our pictures in my sig (except that I'm 20 pounds lighter :flower: ). Don't hesitate to chat with us!

Beth,

Your trip is getting closer. Looking forward to meeting you on your Cruise #6. Have a great time.

I can't stand it! OK, I have to because I have no choice. Hello everyone. I must tell mom that other people are going on the cruise too because when she made this post (her first ever), she didn't think anyone was out there. :rotfl:

This is mom's first cruise and I want her to have a wonderful time. We're both Disney addicts. Heck, I was married at the Polynesian 3 years ago this past Halloween; took this same cruise for our honeymoon (except with a stop at Freeport instead of the day at sea)! :lovestruc

Sadly the hubby can't go this trip so... it's just us ladies!!!

You wont miss us, we tend to squeal alot and act like big kids. Oh wait, we're on a Disney ship. That will be everyone!

I've been peeking at posts about the pirate night. I'm tempted to bring my pirate garb from Faire. I'm a card carrying member in the Privateers Guild don't you know. I'm ships gaoler on "The Roving Eye"... Arrrr! pirate:

OK, enough rambling. See you all on the boat!
